Sometimes doing the right thing, ends poorly... especially for Heyes. ***WARNING attempted rape*** This story is fiction but I did reference Indian culture through the ceremonies, prayers, etc which I tried to keep as accurate as possible.

A young Jed learns a painful lesson and even manages to resist his cousin's persuasive talents! This features what I hope is loving corporal punishment of a child. I don't agree with hitting children, but I think back when Jed was growing up times were different.

Decided To start compiling these author chats. So this will always be "in progress."

When a young saloon girl is beaten, Kid offers her a solution, but an accident puts them both in a difficult situation. Heyes and his wife Arleta try to help, but the situation only worsens. Can Kid find a way out? This is a post amnesty story.

This will be an on-going piece of short stories with each chapter being a story unto itself, none more than about 5000 words. That way I won't be taking up so much space. While it says In Progress, each chapter will only be posted when complete

Sad news takes Heyes and Kid back to Denver and Rebecca, six months after my first story 'Making Ends Meet.' Adventure awaits. Sexual Situations and some violence. But edited from the AO3 version to be less explicit.

Having earned amnesty many years ago, and having followed their own paths in their later years, can a Kentucky Thoroughbred Race Horse bring Kid and Heyes together again?

Heyes gets amnesty and Kid doesn't. Curry has a totally different adventure in Denver. But all's well that ends well. This is a less adult version of the story posted over on AO3 to fit the ff guidelines. Sexual situations but nothing explicit.

A chaptered story about Heyes and Kid's encounters as they travel 120 miles along the Truckee River on their return to Wyoming from California. Not every story will find complete closure perhaps for them, or perhaps for the people they leave behind. I may post a picture on fanfiction to accompany some or all of the chapters, to give the reader a glimpse of the path they travel.

Heyes and the Kid have separated for two different jobs—never a good idea. Unsurprisingly, both partners find trouble without the other…trouble that might be related. Each chapter will alternate with one of the boys until (or if!) they meet up again. Action, adventure, and most probably h/c.

While Heyes and Kid have moved on from Deadwood, Jane and Kyle stay and try to put the pieces of their lives back together in their own unique way.

After the boys finally get their amnesty. What happens next? This is my view of what might! The Kid of course finds trouble. The story is more about his journey, although Heyes is alongside him for the ride. The story is now complete. Epilogue added.

A very short story written as a challenge. A good leader knows his men's strengths (and weaknesses).
