I wondered what it would be like for Elphaba if Frex finds another woman. What would that mean for Elphaba and for Nessa. Elphaba gets a new teacher at her school. Would Elphaba still end up as the Wicked Witch or would something else happen? It is a story about the early years of Elphaba, Nessa and Frex. musicalverse and Bookverse. Elphaba had never really been one for romance, and until recently, that never really bothered her. But now, though, looking at Fiyero, she can't help but wonder if she's poisoned herself (and by proxy, him) against romance because she can't tell what it is that she feels for him. Real or not? Romance or not? Is it even possible for someone like her to love? Does she even want to?

Death interfered in the Witch's life and ended it to the joy of all of Oz. But surely a story like hers can't end like this?
