How Starsky and Hutch met but focussing on the struggle Starsky was going through returning from 'Nam and Hutch's realisation that he wants to change career. A story about the building up of their friendship through sharing their troubles. Some familiar friends included along the way. Please note warnings if you suffer from PTSD or similar. This is a short story that follows the episode The Crying Child.

I've always loved this quotation from Boswell's 'Life of Johnson' - "We cannot tell the precise moment when friendship is formed. As in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses there is at last one which makes the heart run over." Thinking about this made me ask the question "What made the cup run over for S&H?"

I think one of the sweetest things about Starsky is his devotion and love for his mom. So, I decided to write a series of stories exploring the lives of Starsky & Hutch through the phone calls Starsky has with his mom. They won't follow a specific time line, so enjoy the surprise as they post! For Wanda, my friend and biggest Phone Call fan, I dedicate them all to you.

Hutch and a friend go for a very early morning walk.

Set after the tag of Voodoo Island. As they travel and eventually arrive home, Starsky is still plagued by weird dreams and his hurt thumb. Is any of what he's dreaming about actual memories? What did happen up on the cliff top before he and Hutch fell off and into the sea? If he asks, will Hutch tell him the truth?

When Great Aunt Hetty dies, Hutch decides to go home for the funeral as she was always a favourite of his. Starsky offers to go along for moral support. Hutch reminisces about some of Hetty's stories. Just a little friendship fluffiness.
