Season 3 Prom AU - Buffy wants to actually enjoy the prom and, if she's being honest, she knows Angel's more interested in building his white knight narrative than making her dreams come true. Meanwhile, Anya wants to ease her way back into the vengeance business and if she can do that all while spending an evening dancing with a beautiful woman, even better right?

Post Season 7. For over six years, Buffy has pretended not to be aware of Faith's feelings for her. But sometimes, a Slayer's instincts take over.

Riley gets a proper exit, Tara is brought up to a main character, Anya remains herself from previous seasons and doesn't get flanderized to "goofy doesn't get social cues", and Spike has a more natural arc for his crush. AU Season 5, all major & minor events from every episode still play out, but the changes in the characters will ripple through and spin things off more and more.
