I wrote this to cope with the ending of Evangelion. I just want these characters to be happy. Original series continuity, cutesy and light story about Shinji and Asuka being in a relationship. Don't think too much about it, I wrote it to help myself, if it helps you too, I'm thankful.

Regaining consciousness inside Unit 01, he finds that there is no sign of the damage from the JSSDF attack that exposed the GeoFront. Reuniting with Rei, Asuka and Misato, Shinji struggles to adapt to his new existence.

After 4th Impact was averted, Shinji is taken to a city where he begins to find some peace with the world and even with himself. And while the city is a place where he can find hope, it is also a place where there are those who have plans for him.

As the Angel's make contact with Eva Unit 01, they all begin to bind their souls with Shinji. Tormenting him as he tries to continue on fighting, they begin to affect his everyday life.

Once again, Rei's curiosity nearly spells disaster for herself and Asuka. Once again, Rei is determined to not give up on their investigation. Once again, Asuka is worried about Rei.

NERV does not exist without rivals. The rivals that posed a real threat were always destroyed by sabotage, execpt for one. When 9th Circle Private Military proposed a contract, they unveiled that they had a true Evangelion, piloted by a real child. NERV took the contract and allowed the pilot into their ranks, a mistake on their part.
