Chapter 1 - Secrets Don't Stay Secret Long, So What Did You Expect

Natalie had been listening in on Garrison radio chatter for what had to be hours now, and all she ever heard was the same boring stuff; Iverson complaining about cadets, Montgomery wanted the security tightened on the cadet wing and a whole bunch of other inane complaints from the various Garrison Officers, usually regarding cadets. However, she continued to listen because Keith was certain that today was the day. For what exactly, even he had no idea, but she sat here all the same.

She could not be blamed when her mind started to wonder to other things. Like what would have happened if Keith had not been expelled, would they still be junior cadets or would they be senior ones by now? Doubtful on that last one considering Iverson's opinion of Keith. She always wondered what had happened to poor Ian, their team's communications specialist before Keith had been expelled and Natalie had quit to follow him. Had he been able to go to a new team or something else? He probably hated the two of them now anyway. She then thought about who else she had left behind; Katie.

When she had dropped out to follow Keith, it was for two reasons. The first, was to keep an eye on him as not only had she promised Shiro she would, she also gave a damn about him. The second, because her brother and father had gone missing alongside Shiro and the Garrison had failed to tell her for five months. She had wrestled with what to do with that knowledge for a week before Keith had been expelled, making her decision easy for her. The problem? She had not told her mother or sister where she was going and had yet to speak to them in the eleven or so months since she left. She planned on finding out what happened to her father and brother before she felt like she could face them. She had been a member of the very same organisation that had hidden the truth from them and she felt guilty despite having also been in the dark.

"Woah, did anybody see that?" she heard through her headset and quickly focused back on the task at hand.

"It looked like a meteor of some kind!"

"That was a big damn meteor."

"Hey, the scanners are picking up something really weird."

"Did anyone get a clear visual?" Oh, that was Iverson.

"Yes sir, it appeared to be a...uh…"

"Out with it soldier!"

"You might think I'm crazy sir, but it looked like a small space ship, though it most definitely wasn't ours."

She stopped listening after that and went running out to the back where Keith was looking out in the distance, "Keith, I think we finally have something."

"Yeah," he answers slowly, "I'm pretty sure I just saw it."

Pidge had waited until after lights out for cadets to sneak out of her room, which she thankfully did not have to share with anyone, and made her way onto the roof. She thought about what had happened earlier in the day, when her team had failed the simulator, again, so spectacularly. Like, why was Hunk in a space program when he could not even hold in his lunch when flying? And Lance, why does he feel the need to show off all the time? Maybe she had trouble understanding them because they were boys or maybe just because her mind worked differently to theirs. Who knew.

She left her thoughts behind when she reached the roof and she wasted no time setting up her equipment. She then sat there, listening to the weird alien chatter she had been hearing the last few weeks. She was so focused, she missed Lance sneaking up behind her, moving one side of her headphones and speaking right into her ear, "You come up here to rock out?"

She gasped in fright, jumping back before seeing it was just Lance, and Hunk very cautious behind him, before she sat still again, "Oh, Lance, Hunk. No, um, just looking at the stars."

She watched as Lance eyed her equipment, "Where'd you get this stuff? It doesn't look like Garrison tech."

"I built it," she answers with pride.

"You built all this?" Hunk asks reaching to touch it, but she quickly slaps his hand away.

"Stop it!" she says hastily, then turns back to face Lance, "With this thing, I can scan all the way to the edge of the solar system."

"That right?" Lance says, and she totally misses his weird inflection until his next words, "All the way to Kerberos?"

She feels herself shrink at the hint, saying nothing as Lance continues, "You go ballistic every time the instructors bring it up. What's your deal?"

It was at that moment, Hunk started playing with the small satellite dish on her equipment, "Second warning, Hunk!"

He just groans as Lance goes on, "Look, Pidge, if we're going to bond as a team, we can't have any secrets."

"Fine," she says after a few seconds, "The world as you know it is about to change. The Kerberos Mission wasn't lost because of some malfunction or crew mistake."

Hunk was reaching for it again and she finally snapped, "Stop touching my equipment!"

He groans again and she continued, "So, I've been scanning the system and picking up alien radio chatter."

This really gets Hunk's attention, "Woah. What? Aliens?"

Lance on the other hand, is not impressed, "Okay, so you're insane. Got it."

"I'm serious," she insists, "They keep repeating one word, 'Voltron.'"

She shows them her sketch pad with her whimsical doodling of the word 'Voltron' alongside a giant knight looking thing, a princess and other random doodles. "And tonight," she continues, "it's going crazier than I have ever heard it."

"How crazy?" Lance questions.

She had no chance to reply as the sirens went off, Iverson's voice coming over the PA, "Attention, students. This is not a drill. We are on lock down! Security situation Zulu Niner. Repeat; all students are to remain in barracks until further notice."

"What's going on?" Hunk asks, a nervous tremor in his voice. He then looks up to the sky, "Is that a meteor? A very, very big meteor?"

The three of them watched as the meteor like object plummeted towards the Earth, Pidge grabbing her binoculars to get a closer look. "It's a ship," she exclaims.

She yelps as Lance grabs her binoculars, dragging her over with them while he looks as well, "Holy crow! I can't believe what I'm seeing! That's not one of ours."

"No," Pidge agrees, "It's one of theirs."

"So, wait," Hunk cuts in, "There really are aliens out there?"

They watched as the ship crashed, shaking the ground around it which they felt even from the top of the building. A few minutes later, the Garrison sent off some vehicles to check it out, Pidge looked on excitedly, "We've got to see that ship."

Her and Lance were quick to go, Lance turning back to call out to Hunk while moving, "Hunk, come on."

"Oh, this is the worst team-building-exercise ever," Hunk grumbles behind them before he follows.

By the time they arrived, the Garrison had already set up a tent and secured the ship. Pidge got out her trusty equipment again while Lance tried to figure out the situation with the binoculars. "Whoa! What the heck is that thing? And who the heck is she? Ow!"

"Lance," Pidge had hit him over the head when she realised what he was doing.

"Right, alien ship," he mumbles before looking again, "Man, we'll never get past all of those guards to get a look."

"Aw, man," Hunk moans, "Yeah, yeah, I guess there's nothing to do but head back to the barracks, right?"

Pidge had just finished hacking into their feeds when she found the camera, "Wait," she called to Hunk who was trying to escape, "They set up a camera in there and I grabbed its feed. Look!"

The video showed a man, wearing what looked to be torn rags, strapped to a gurney. The Garrison members inside were wearing hazmat suits while the man strapped down was shouting at them. Pidge was sure she knew this man from somewhere, "Hey! What are you doing?" the man was yelling.

"Calm down, Shiro," she heard Iverson say. "We just need to keep you quarantined until we run some tests."

"You have to listen to me!" he tried to explain, "They destroy worlds! Aliens are coming!"

"That's Shiro!" Lance cut in, "The pilot of the Kerberos Mission! That guy's my hero!"

"Guess he's not dead in space, after all," Hunk adds.

"Where's the rest of the crew?" Pidge wonders to herself, where were her father and brother?

They listened as Iverson started talking again, "Do you know how long you've been gone?"

"I don't know," Shiro replies, breathing heavily, "Months? Years? Look, there's no time. Aliens are coming here for a weapon. They're probably on their way. They'll destroy us. We have to find Voltron."

"Voltron!" Pidge exclaims, sharing a look with the boys.

"Sir," says the voice of someone else in the tent, "Take a look at this."

They turned back to the screen to watch as he continued, "It appears his arm has been replaced with a cyborg prosthetic."

"Put him under until we know what that thing can do," Iverson orders.

This causes Shiro to panic, "No, don't put me under! No! There's no time!"

"They didn't ask about the rest of the crew," Pidge mutters to herself as Shiro continued to struggle.

"What are they doing?" Lance asks incredulously, "That guy's a legend. They're not even gonna listen to him?"

"We have to get him out," Pidge says decisively.

"I hate to be the voice of reason here, always," Hunk cuts in, standing in his place, "but weren't we watching on the TV because there was no way to get passed the guards?"

"That was before we were properly motivated," Lance explains, "We've just got to think. Could we tunnel in?"

"Maybe we could get some hazmat suits and sneak in like the med techs," Pidge suggests.

"Or we dress up like cooks, head back to the dorms, sneak into the commissary - little late night snack," Hunk says, trying to get them away from the situation.

"No," Lance says flatly, "What we need is a distraction."

As if it was summoned, a few explosions go off in the distance, scaring the living daylights out of Hunk, "Is that the aliens? Is that the aliens? Are they here? They got here so quick!"

Pidge looks off in the distance and sees it, "No, those explosions were a distraction, for him."

She points out who she was referring to, someone coming in on a hoverbike, "The Garrison's headed toward the blast and he's sneaking in from the other side."

Lance picks up the binoculars for a closer look, "No way," he says in shock, clearly knowing who it was, "Oh, he is not going to beat us in there! That guy is always trying to one-up me!"

"Who is it?" Hunk asks as Lance takes off, running down the hill.

"Keith!" Lance shouts back at them.

"Who?" Pidge asks.

"Are you sure?" Hunk questions while running after him.

"Oh, I'd recognise that mullet anywhere!" Lance assures them.

"Who's Keith?" Pidge tries asking again, but still does not get an answer.

The trio slide down the hill and run for the tent. When they entered, Keith had already taken out Iverson and the med techs, Lance quickly walks forward, "Nope. No, you-No, No, No. No, you don't. I'm saving Shiro."

He then takes Shiro's other arm and puts it around his shoulders, Keith watches, "Who are you?"

"Who am I?" Lance says, "Uh, the name's Lance."

Keith continued to look confused, so he elaborated, "We were in the same class at the Garrison."

"Really?" Keith wonders, "Are you an engineer?"

"No, I'm a pilot," Lance replies, making it sound as if it should be obvious, "We were, like, rivals. You know, Lance and Keith, neck and neck."

"Oh, wait," Keith says suddenly, "I remember you. You're a cargo pilot."

"Well, not anymore," Lance interjects angrily, "I'm fighter class now, thanks to you washing out."

"Well congratulations," Keith mutters, but anyone could tell he did not really mean it.

They started leading Shiro out, and Keith observed her and Hunk. His eyes had glanced over Hunk a few seconds, but they had stopped to rest on her. His eyes had widened slightly, as if he recognised her, though she was sure she had never met him before. He must have decided to let it go, given the time restraint, before he kept walking with Lance to get Shiro out.

When they left the tent, Hunk had grabbed the binoculars to check up on the Garrison, "Oh, man. They're coming back and they do not look happy. We've got to go!"

Hunk and Pidge quickly ran to catch up to the others who were heading back for Keith's hoverbike. They over took them and Pidge did not bother asking before getting on the back, though Hunk stopped long enough to ask, "Uh, do you mind if we catch a ride with you?"

Keith then did not bother answering and Hunk had not waited for an answer, everyone simply hopping on, Pidge helping Lance to get Shiro on. With the weight of all five of them now on it, it sunk backwards and made everyone yell, Pidge turning to face Keith, "Is this thing going to be big enough for all of us?"

"No," is his only answer.

They really have no time to ponder it as the Garrison had spotted them and were now heading their way. Keith turns on his bike and gets them out of there. Lance then handed her Shiro, "Why am I holding this guy?"

"Hey, we did all fit!" Hunk shouts from his place at the very back.

Lance looked back to see they were gaining on them, "Can't this thing go any faster?"

"We could toss out some non-essential weight," Keith replies dryly.

"Oh, right!" Lance agrees, looking around before realising what Keith was implying, "Okay, so that was an insult. I get it."

Keith simply ignored him and called out to Hunk, "Big man, lean left!"

As Hunk did so, they were able to use his weight to get in a sharp left slide. This caused two of the Garrison cars to hit each other, Hunk doing the play-by-play, "Aw, man! Mister Harris just wiped out Professor Montgomery! No, no, he's fine."

"Big man, lean right," Keith calls out again.

Hunk does this, and they are able to jump across a chasm to the other side. One of the vehicles still following them lands wrong and rolls, but the other continues to follow them. Hunk looks ahead, and he sees exactly where they are heading, "Guys?" he stammers out, "Is that a cliff ahead?"

"Oh, no, no, no!" Lance yells.

The others join in as Keith simply says, "Yup."

As they go over the cliff, Keith and the unconscious Shiro are the only ones not screaming as they fell. The final Garrison car stopped and could no longer follow, but Lance was concerned about more pressing matters, "What are you doing? You're going to kill us all!"

"Shut up and trust me!" Keith shouts back.

Sure enough, he is able to expertly land on the ground and continue on their way. They are quiet after that.

They had not talked much as they waited for Shiro to wake up, and Keith had no problem with it. Natalie was asleep when they had arrived, he had checked when he went to get Shiro a change of clothes, his father's old ones. He had no reason to wake her early, figuring she would, eventually, as the sun was starting to rise. When Shiro had awoken, they had given him space to change, and let him go outside to think. Keith had spent a few minutes every now and then contemplating where he had seen the smaller of Lance's two friends before, Pidge he had said his name was. Keith was sure he had never met or heard of anyone named Pidge before, but his face was very familiar.

He had let go of those thoughts when he realised Shiro had been outside for nearly half an hour and decided to go and check on him. He was still standing where he had been from the beginning, looking down on his new arm. Keith reached over and placed his hand on Shiro's shoulder, "It's good to have you back."

"It's good to be back," is his answer.

"So, what happened to you out there? Where were you?" Keith asks hesitantly.

"I wish I could tell you," Shiro answers slowly, "My head's still pretty scrambled. I was on an alien ship, but somehow, I escaped. It's all a blur."

"So, then I guess it would be pointless to ask about Nat's father and brother?"

Shiro frowns, trying to think, "Honestly, I can't remember much about Commander Holt, but I think Matt and I were together longer? I don't know, there's nothing really useful in my head right now. How did you know to come save me when I crashed?"

"You should come see this," is Keith's only answer.

He led Shiro back inside, where the others were around his living room and he moved over to take down the sheet covering his board. Just as he had left it, the maps, pictures, string and pins. All showing his and Natalie's findings over the last several months. "What have you been working on?" Shiro asks, completely in awe of the board.

"I can't explain it, really," Keith says after a few seconds, "After getting booted from the Garrison, I was kind of lost and found myself drawn to this place. It's like something…some energy, was telling me to search. Nat never felt it, but she followed me anyway."

He never noticed Pidge twitch at the name, but Lance, of course, has to ask, "Who's Nat? And why does that sound familiar?"

Keith and Shiro just ignore him as the latter asks, "For what?"

"Well, I didn't really know at the time…until we stumbled across this area," he answers, pointing to his markings on the map, locating the energy source. "It's an outcropping of giant boulders with caves covered in these ancient markings. Each tells a slightly different story about a blue lion, but they all share clues leading to some event, some arrival happening last night. So, we were tapping the Garrison's radio and keeping an eye out. Then, you showed up."

Shiro turned to face the others, "I should thank you all for getting me out," he moves over to shake Lance's hand, "Lance, right?"

He then turned to face the other two, Pidge reaching forward, "The nervous guy's Hunk. I'm Pidge."

Keith found himself watching Pidge again, there was just something about him he could not place. Pidge then asked Shiro, "So, did anyone else from your crew make it out?"

For some reason, this question grabbed Keith's attention, was he just curious or actually wanted to know about the Holts? Shiro frowned like he had when Keith had asked the question, "Like I told Keith, I'm not sure. I remember the mission and being captured. After that, it's just bits and pieces."

Hunk quickly interrupts, "Yeah, sorry to interrupt, but back to the aliens. Where are they now? Are they coming? Are they coming for all of us? Where are they at this very moment?"

"I can't really put it together," Shiro answers, "I remember the word 'Voltron.' It's some kind of weapon they're looking for, but I don't know why. Whatever it is, I think we need to find it before they do."

"Well, last night," Hunk cuts in, "I was rummaging through Pidge's stuff, and I found this picture. Look, he has two girlfriends."

Pidge snatched it out of his hands, "Hey, give me that! What were you doing in my stuff?"

Keith had barely heard what Pidge had said because as soon as he saw that picture, he had frozen. It finally clicked, this guy was not a guy at all, this was, "Katie," he found himself mumble.

He must have been louder than he thought, because this caused Pidge to freeze, before robotically turning to face him, "What did you say?"

"I just realised where I recognised you from," he answers hesitantly. "You're Katie, aren't you?"

Pidge looked scared and Keith realised, the others probably did not even know she was a girl and he had just given it away. "How…" she whispers softly, before speaking louder, "how do you even know that name?"

"The photo," he answers simply, looking away from her to notice her two friends were very confused and Shiro was now staring her down, realising where he was going with this. "I recognise it."

"What?" she almost shouts, "Where could you possibly have seen that before?"

He hesitated, but realising he had no way of backing out now, he sighs and answers, "Because your sister has the exact same photo in our bedroom."

At first, there was complete silence, but then three of them exploded.

"What? My sister? You know my sister?" Pidge.

"'Our' bedroom? You have a girlfriend?" Typical Lance.

"Wait, if you're real name is Katie, then…oh my god, you're a girl?" Hunk.

Keith backed away a little, surprised by the sudden outburst. Shiro was still watching Pidge, his eyes showing that he finally understood. Keith looked back to face them, Lance was looking at him funny, Hunk was staring at Pidge funny and Pidge was just giving him a look that demanded answers. He would have answered at least Pidge, but then he heard the door to the bedroom slam open. Uh oh.

"Why is everyone yelling?" Natalie shouted from the doorway, "I was trying to sleep…in…there."

She had started to trail off when she got a good look at the room. She barely noticed Keith, since he was expected, but she had been very surprised to see Shiro. She was ready to head for him when she finally spotted Pidge, and simply froze.

The two of them stared each other down, eyes wide in shock, before Pidge hesitantly took a step forward, "Nat? Is that actually you?"

"Katie?" Natalie questions softly, "What? What are you doing here? How did you even find me?"

"I…I didn't even know you were here," Pidge answers, "Is this where you have been for almost a year? Why didn't you call us or something? I…I just…I had just found out my older brother was missing in space and then all of a sudden, my older sister had disappeared off the face of the Earth. Do you have any idea how I felt?"

Pidge had started raising her voice by the end, and he watched as she shook in anger, Natalie also shaking as tears steadily flowed down her face. "I'm sorry, Katie, I…I had no idea how to face you. Not after I found out about Matt and dad."

Pidge seemed to have lost her words, and her anger along with it, because she launched herself at Natalie, the pair of them clutching each other as they cried. He looked over to see Shiro looked guilty, probably because he had no way to comfort them about their father and brother. Lance seemed to be trying to process the situation, his eyes going back and forth between the sisters. It was certainly a sight, for all Pidge was several inches shorter than her sister, looking at them together, there was no doubt they were sisters. The same light brown hair and brown eyes, the same face almost, Natalie just being noticeably older.

Hunk on the other hand, he looked like he was going to join the girls with the tears, he was clearly very sensitive.

As the two of them started to calm down, Lance finally found his voice, giving himself a face palm, "Of course, as soon as Keith said 'Nat,' I should have known who he was talking about. You're Natalie Holt, you were the engineer on Keith's team, you up and disappeared around the same time he got expelled. And Hunk, pay up, I told you they were dating, but you didn't believe me."

"I don't have any money on me," Hunk admits, scratching his head.

Natalie moved away from her sister a little bit, Pidge would not let her go completely though, so she had her arm around Pidge's shoulders, "Wait, you're Lance aren't you? And Hunk right? You guys were in our class."

Lance turned to face Keith, a look of indignation on his face, "Glad to see at least someone remembers me."

"Yeah, you were always trying to compete with Keith despite the fact he never gave you the time of day," she added.

This caused Lance to wilt where he stood, Hunk deciding to speak up, "Wait, wait, wait, Pidge. Natalie Holt is your older sister? And your name is Katie?"

That is when Pidge realised, her identity had just been revealed to two of the people she had been hiding it from. "Uh, yeah, my name is actually Katie. Katie Holt. You asked me the reason why I'm always going off at the mention of the Kerberos Mission, that would be because Shiro's two crew mates, are my father and brother."

"Why were you dressed as a boy then?" Hunk asks, his head tilting from his curiosity.

"Actually, I was beginning to wonder what happened to your hair," Natalie adds.

"Uh, well, when they wouldn't tell us what had really happened, because I knew what they said on the news was a lie, I kept sneaking into the Garrison," she explains, her cheeks flushing slightly at revealing her sneaky escapades, "But I got caught one too many times and Iverson banned me from Garrison property, permanently. So I needed another way in, I cut my hair and made a fake identity. Though truthfully, I was not going to change my gender, they just assumed I was a boy. I just rolled with it, because it meant it would be easier to hide my identity. These glasses were Matt's, I don't actually need them, so they helped to change my look a little."

No one spoke as they all took in that information, that certainly explained a few things for Keith, but it looked like her two friends had been thrown for a loop. That being said, Hunk looked less surprised than Lance, he had probably noticed things, but never really thought much of them until now. Keith turned back to look at the sisters, but that just made him realise something; Natalie was still in her nightgown. "Uh, Nat?"

She turned to face him, arms still full of clingy little sister, "Yeah?"

"You might want to change," he points out, his eyes on her nightgown.

She looked down and her eyes widened, she unclung her sister and ran back into their room. He noticed Pidge snickering, she probably knew like he did, that Natalie sometimes forgot to change out of her nightgown at times when she really should have. He turned back to the others, seeing Hunk had his hand back in Pidge's bag, before he pulled out a notebook, "So, I had been looking for a candy bar when I went through Pidge's bag last night. However, I had then started reading his…uh…her diary. Wow, so much of what is written in here makes sense now."

"What?" Pidge shouted from where she was, running over to snatch back her diary.

Hunk just ignored her, and continued his point as Nat came back wearing jeans and her favourite purple hoodie, her hair now in a high ponytail, "I noticed the repeating series of numbers the aliens are searching for looks a lot like a Fraunhofer line."

"Frown who?" Keith had to ask.

Hunk was about to answer, but Natalie answered him first from her place beside him, "It's a number describing the emission spectrum of an element."

"Right," Hunk agrees, getting to his point, "Only, this element doesn't exist on Earth. I thought it might be this Voltron. I think I can build a machine to look for it, like a Voltron Geiger counter."

"Hunk, you big, gassy genius," Lance praises him.

"I can see why you're the engineer, Hunk," Natalie adds, "I'm sure I can help you build it."

"That would be amazing Natalie, it's really fascinating stuff isn't it?" he says, though the question is rhetorical as he continues, "Anyway, the wavelength looks like this."

He pulled out a piece of paper with a graph on it, the line going across it was going up and down in random patterns. He barely had any time to show it off before Keith snatched it out of his hands, "Give me that," and held it up to the picture they had of the outcropping of boulders.

"I guess we know where we're going now," Natalie throws in unnecessarily.

It had taken Hunk and Natalie only a few hours to complete their 'Voltron Geiger Counter.' They made it compact enough to fit in Pidge's bag while Hunk would use the handheld part of the device that was attached to it. They were yet to leave, standing outside the house while everyone made sure they had what they needed. Pidge had put down the bag against the wall of the house before walking over to where Natalie was standing, a little away from the others, while staring at what Pidge realised was Shiro's alien prosthetic. She probably wanted to study it. "So," she starts slowly, before catching wind, "You quit the Garrison to, what? Follow your boyfriend?"

Natalie blushed, but frowned at her sister, "My thinking wasn't that unilateral Katie. When Keith was expelled, we had just found out dad, Matt and Shiro were missing. Shiro is the main reason for Keith even being at the Garrison, his disappearance had a negative impact on him. So he lashed out and got expelled without Shiro there to defend him. I knew he would be wallowing or something if he was on his own, so yes, I quit so that I could go with him. However, it wasn't my only reason. The Garrison hadn't even told us about the missing members of the Kerberos Mission until it was already on the news, five months after the fact. How could I possibly have stayed there, especially knowing there was more they weren't telling us?"

Natalie watched as Pidge got a thoughtful look on her face, thinking about her words. She eventually turned back to face her, "Okay, two pretty good reasons to quit, but neither of them are reasons why you wouldn't tell your worried mother and sister where you were or what you were doing?"

Natalie sighed, and she felt the guilt hit her, Pidge did have a point, "I…I have my reasons, Katie, can we maybe not talk about that right now?"

Her sister looked like she wanted to protest, but decided to change her line of questioning, "Okay, I can let that pass, for now. However," she suddenly smiled impishly, raising her eyebrows up and down, "why didn't we know you had a boyfriend?"

This caused Natalie to blush again, sputtering out her answer, "Do I have to tell you everything about my life?" she then calmed down and answered properly, "Honestly, we had only been together two weeks when we heard about the Kerberos Mission, and a week later, we were out of there. It was too early to share it with you guys and by the time I probably should have, we were already out here."

Pidge just gave her a disbelieving look, and would no doubt have started the teasing, but Shiro suddenly called from his place standing next to Keith, "Alright, I guess we better head off."

Pidge gave her sister a look that clearly said 'you're lucky' before she was off to grab her bag. Keith took point to lead them to the outcropping, the others falling in step behind him, Natalie slightly behind and to his left.

A/N: established relationship, yes I went there

So this is part 1 of 3 for the very first episode of Voltron. So if you make it as far as the third chapter, the A/N will be there.
