A/N: This is a Shokugeki no Soma fanfic (aka Soma x Erina fanfic and other ships). Also, the first chapter will be narrator's P.O.V.! Hope you enjoy!
It's been awhile
It had been so long since he last saw her. The last time he recalls seeing her was at graduation; then she disappeared. Disappeared from her home. Disappeared from her friends. Disappeared from her family. Disappeared from him. From the amount of travelling that he had done, he thought he was bound to run into her sooner or later, but it was like she was wiped off the face of the Earth. Nowhere to be seen.
To be exact, it had been 5 years since graduation. Five goddamn years. He had gone to New York, Madrid, Sydney, New Orleans, everywhere but she was now becoming a myth. To top it all off, no one had heard from her. All this time, he had been secretly hoping to run into her. A strange feeling always fueled him when he went to new countries and he never knew what it was.
To be honest, he had no clue why he wanted to see her. Maybe it was because he hadn't made her say 'delicious' or he missed teasing her. Either way, one simple fact was clear to him. He wanted to find her.
...
At the moment, Yukihira Soma was at his apartment in London lying on his king-sized bed exhausted. It had just been a long day at the restaurant he was working at (the famous Shino's) and was probably one of the most hardest days that had ever hit them.
He had collapsed on the bed and didn't show and signs of moving. That was until he got a call. Groaning, he picked up the phone next to him and answered without looking at the Call Id.
'Hey, Kiddo. How you've been?' came the voice from the other line.
'Hey, Pops. I've been good overall. Just a little tired.' a weak reply was sent back.
'No surprise. It's like 2am in the morning for you.' he chuckled a little as quite a long paused settled.
A sigh was heard as he began to speak again.' Anyways, got some news for us.'
'Is it more important than my sleep?' groaned Soma. He wasn't really in the mood with his father's shenanigans. Honestly, he wasn't really in the mood for anything
'Listen,' he said sternly,' she's coming back.'
'I don't get it. Who?' he asked dumbfounded.
'Goddammit Soma. Thought you missed her.'
As he said this, Soma became more interested and more awake.
'Nakiri Erina,' he said slowly,' Nakiri Erina's coming back.'
Before Soma could ask any questions, his father cut the phone, leaving him in utter shock. So she's back, he thought. Without hesitation, he bought the earliest flight to Japan. He waited so long; now he will be able to talk to her face to face.
...
It was a fine day. A private plane just landed at Tokyo International Airport. Upon its arrival, countless culinary media and gourmet enthusiasts all over Japan eagerly awaits the new head of the renowned Nakiri Empire. A now matured Erina walks proudly and confidently among the seas of people that's flocking towards her. Her dazzling purple eyes holds such authority and grace at the same time. The long golden hair that adorned her in her younger years still accompanied her looks.
It has been five years since she left this place...her friends...and him. Its been years since that incident happened, that one special day that will forever engraved in her memory. If it wasn't for her beloved grandfather's request, she would have never came back to the place where it all began...
Never...
