A tale of Gods, Demigods, Devils, Angels, and Youkai, Oh My!
Legalities: I don't own High school DxD nor Percy Jackson and the Olympians I don't even solely own the plot, I'm just combining these two worlds as has been done before and putting my own spin on stuff. That said I hope you enjoy.
Chapter 1: The Demigod and The Arranged Marriage
Percy Jackson, a six foot two, black haired, sea green eyed, demigod who has a swimmer's build and is the son of Poseidon was staring at his father in the Olympian throne room. He shook his head and said "I'm not going to have any part of this." His father laughed boisterously and his uncle glared. He said "I am not going to become your bargaining chip with the christian pantheon for an alliance." His uncle Zeus, glared and he said "I'm sorry uncle but just because Annabeth broke up with me, doesn't mean I want to jump into another relationship. Let alone want to deal with a whole other pantheon of mythological creatures. I especially don't want to go to Japan to deal with the Shinto pantheon on my back, the christian pantheon seeing me as a bargaining chip, or marrying a devil, angel, or fallen angel just because you want to take over their followers."
Zeus growled in anger and the sky thundered as he said "You owe this to Olympus, Perseus." Percy stared and raised an eyebrow as if to say 'Who was it that saved Olympus twice with only the help of other demigods?' Zeus glared and said "Don't think I can't read your expression and yes you have done much for Olympus but without the gods you demigods wouldn't exist!"
Percy snorted and said "What a shame. We wouldn't be hunted by monsters, we wouldn't be ignored by our parents, we wouldn't have had to GO THROUGH TWO WARS THAT COST ME SO MANY FRIENDS AND NEARLY COST ME MY FAMILY AS WELL AS COST ME THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!" Athena smiled at Percy's love of her daughter sighing slightly thinking about how her daughter hadn't been the same since Tartarus, she hadn't lost her love of architecture and the gods but she couldn't bear to see Percy after the memories overwhelmed him for a while. He glared and said "I've been through Tartarus because of you gods. Still I serve because my fatal flaw is LOYALTY! I just want to go to college, and live out my life. I'm tired, I'm so freaking tired of watching friends die, fighting monsters, and losing everything that matters except my mother."
Zeus thundered out "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT!" Percy glared back and Poseidon tried to calm the two down. Zeus said "You have no right to blame us for the way things have turned out Perseus. You chose to serve willingly, the fates were the ones who made your life the way it is. You were the one who gave up godhood twice, so do not assume to know why we gods are the way we are. Do you think we do not feel anger at the loss of demigods? Do you think we do not weep for our children? I only have Thalia and Jason and yes I thank you for watching out for them, but I will not stand by and let you accuse us of causing all your problems, you are a mere child compared to us. What do you know of the world and being a god Perseus?"
Percy said "I know nothing of being a god, uncle. So you're right about that, but I know that all the problems we demigods have faced were caused by you the gods in the past. We demigods suffer and all we seek is the love of our parents. Yes you have been claiming your children, but you never honored my request to free the titans who were peaceful. You gave Hestia and Hades a seat on the council, and yet you still do not listen to your children. I don't know what else to say except, we are tired of dying for those who don't care. My loyalty will never waver but you can't force me into a loveless marriage just to earn more power because the christian god is dead. If my mother has a reason to go to Japan I'll go with her, I'll even meet your candidates but if I feel nothing for them, and I mean it if I feel nothing I will not marry a single one of them. If you agree to my terms uncle, I will serve Olympus as you've demanded."
Zeus glared and said "Swear it upon the Styx." Percy sighed and swore exactly his demands and Zeus said "So be it." Zeus said "All those in favor of allowing Perseus to choose his own wife other than having the diplomacy through Athena?" All of the council other than Zeus himself and Athena raised their hands in favor. Zeus sighed and said "So be it. Perseus you have your own decisions to make.
Percy said "Thank you Council, and Uncle. Dad did you have something you wanted to say to me?" Poseidon nodded and Percy said "Should I meet you at your palace?" He nodded again and Percy said "Alright, I'll leave the council to continue to convene while I go to my father's palace here on Olympus." Percy walked out of the throne room and the Olympians got into discussions about which branch of the christian pantheon they should approach first.
After Percy left Hestia followed him and approached him as he walked to Poseidon's palace. She walked up to him and said "Perseus." Percy turned toward her and smiled at his favorite Olympian. Hestia said "I would like to have a word Percy." He nodded and sat on a bench with her joining him shortly thereafter. She smiled sadly and asked "How are you taking it?" Percy shrugged and she said "Don't try to hide it Perseus."
He sighed and said "I'm pissed. I've been loyal to Olympus since I was twelve and they repay me by trying to marry me off. Why couldn't they have picked Jason since he and Piper broke up? I wouldn't wish this on Thals and Nico, but why did it have to be me?"
Hestia said "I believe it is because, though my youngest brother won't admit it, you are our most powerful and wanted Demigod." Percy stared confused and she said "You helped defeat Gaia, Perseus. You have always sought the betterment of others, and though you have always done it because it was right, it didn't mean that no one took notice. I have heard other pantheons talk of how powerful you are and how it would be an honor to have one who is so loyal join them in their efforts. You are already friends with the Norse and Egyptians through your ex girlfriend and your friends the Kanes. Honestly Perseus I wasn't surprised you were chosen, merely that they didn't even consult you before starting the negotiations."
Percy blinked and asked "They've already started the negotiations?" She nodded and he swore then asked "Why?" Hestia smiled sadly as if to say 'You know why.' He sighed and said "Damn my loyalty." She giggled at that then smiled sadly and he asked "Who have they spoken with so far?"
She said "The seraphs, and the Grigori's leader Azazel, we could not contact the Satans of the Devils. Serafell Leviathan, the head of their international affairs, has not deigned to reply to Athena yet. I believe they have more pressing matters in their own opinions." Percy nodded in understanding and sighed then Hestia said "Of course it's quite amusing to hear Athena's aggravation with the whole situation." Percy looked at her confused and she said "While Athena is glad you and Annabeth are no longer a couple, she doesn't want to help you find a wife in another pantheon." Percy nodded slowly surprised that Athena agreed that he shouldn't be forced to look for love. Hestia smiled and said "You have allies on the council Percy. For now speak to your father then go to your mother and see what she has to tell you."
Percy blinked and said "What could mom have to possibly tell me?" She just smiled mysteriously and headed back to the throne room as Percy entered his father's palace. Poseidon appeared about ten minutes later and Percy said "Hey dad." Poseidon smiled and Percy said "I'm guessing you weren't the one to put my name up for this?"
Poseidon shook his head and said "No Percy, I was actually one of those who voted against this. Amazingly so were Artemis, your uncle Hades, and Aphrodite. Unsurprisingly Hestia voted with us and Athena automatically voted against me and with her father. I don't know why she feels such animosity toward you, though I know why she has so many problems with me. Medusa not being the least of them." Percy nodded in understanding and sighed. Poseidon said "IF you hadn't sworn on the Styx I'd say you don't have to do this. However the only ones who could besides you are other children of the big three and none of them are as decorated a war hero as you. So what do you say to all this my son?"
Percy sighed and said "I know Dad. I thought about all of them when I decided. Sadly I can't force another demigod or one of the minor gods to do this just because I don't want to get married. I curse the fates for this but maybe my destiny is yet to be set in stone. I've been the source of two great prophecies and now I have to choose to marry someone I may not ever love." Poseidon winced knowing his son had a point and Percy asked "Why do they want me to go to Japan anyway?"
Poseidon said "Two of the newer Satans younger sisters are there. We believe by you getting along with them and allowing them to know you aren't an enemy they will be more willing to negotiate. We know Serafell Leviathan in particular is especially protective of her little sister. By that same token if you defend that little sister she may decide you are worth marrying and we would have an in with the highest powers in the devils. We're also talking to Gabriel from heaven who is interested but doesn't see a point in it just yet. We can't contact the fallen angels yet, but if someone can get into contact with them we believe they may be willing to play ball so to speak. So which would you prefer to marry Percy?"
Percy blinked and said "Wait so you want me to go to Japan because to of the underworld's leaders little sisters are there and you want me to protect them?" Poseidon nodded and Percy sighed then said "Protect the from what exactly?"
Poseidon said "Khaos Brigade."
Percy blinked and asked "Khaos Brigade? What the heck is a Khaos Brigade?"
Poseidon sighed and said "Khaos Brigade is a group of terrorists targeting the supernatural world. They haven't attacked us yet, most likely because we've been occupied with Gaia and the like, but they've been taking jobs like mercenaries and helping other groups terrorize different pantheons throughout the world. We want you to protect the Satans' sisters and possibly get in their good graces while we wait for the ability to talk to heaven and the Grigori as the fallen angels are called. So what do you say Percy, my favorite son?"
Percy sighed and said "Fine. Since mom said she planned on going to Japan with Paul anyway, I'll go. Only until I finish high school though." Poseidon nodded smiling and Percy said "So long as you agree dad tell Zeus I'm going there by plane as I'm not dealing with a baby on a boat no matter how I love the sea." Poseidon chuckled and stretched then hugged his son and let his love show. Percy smiled and said "I love you dad, but our family is fucking stupid." Poseidon laughed at that and Percy sighed then the two separated and Percy started for the elevator off Olympus as Poseidon watched on.
Percy walked into the elevator and started to go down thinking about the things he swore to today and what he was getting out of it. He sighed and muttered "I'm too selfless for my own damn good." He laughed bitterly at that then sighed and closed his eyes as he continued on his way down. When he reached the street he walked out and headed to his mother's apartment.
As he opened the door to his mother's apartment he saw her, and Phil packing for the move. Sally, Percy's mom, turned toward him and said "Hey Percy, I didn't expect you to come back here, aren't you staying at Camp Halfblood while we are going to Japan?" Percy shook his head and Sally said "What do you mean no Honey?"
He sighed and said "The gods want me to go with you." She blinked and he said "So I'm going to Japan. There's other stuff going on but I swore on the Styx so I have a reason to go I guess. Anyway I'll pack and we can catch the plane." She nodded happy she'd gotten a ticket for Percy just in case he wanted to go too. They packed over the next few hours and got ready to head to the airport. Lincoln glanced at his phone, which was a specially made one from the Hephaestus Cabin that allowed demigods to use them without alerting monsters. He played on his phone texted everyone he cared about then the family headed to the airport. Percy sighed and muttered "Goodbye home, hello Japan."
I hope you enjoyed the start of my story and as you can see this is a crossover. That said this is a massive crossover that will encompass a lot of things but start with DxD and PJO as well as the rest of the Riordan Verse. I hope you enjoyed and I'll see you with the next update. Also this is a long story and i'm already working on chapter 3 so chapter two should be up as soon as I finish chapter 3. I want to always be one chapter ahead. If you enjoy review, if not well sorry but I'm writing this for me more than anyone. I gave up on trying to please my readers as time went on and after so long I just needed to write for me. I'll eventually continue my other stories for my long time readers, for new readers, WELCOME!
