It was a beautiful night in the forest of Transylvania and a young vampire was taking a moonlit walk.
The vampire in question was none other than Mavis Dracula who usually had her three best friends Wendy, Hank and Pedro with her.
However, her three friends wanted to hang out with their families and Mavis's Aunt Lydia was doing some work around the hotel right now.
So this left Mavis with some peace and quiet. "Who knew that I'd get some relaxation time tonight?" Mavis asked herself, she was really happy.
Mavis knew that she could've flown around in her bat form but wanted to walk around the forest while the full moon was out along with the stars.
Times where Mavis and her friends weren't getting into trouble were rare and for once she was fine with not having some crazy plans go wrong.
As Mavis walked, she made sure to stick to the forest so Mrs. Cartwright wouldn't see her since the human woman hated monsters for some reason.
"I should head back soon." Mavis murmured softly, but just as she had turned around something red caught Mavis's eye so she walked to a clearing.
Mavis hid behind a tree and saw a human girl that was a teenager. "I've never seen a human teenager before now." Mavis thought as she watched the girl.
"I can practice out here where no one will hear me." The girl said to herself, to Mavis, the girl's voice was soft and beautiful but she felt familiar somehow.
Mavis watched as the girl removed her red cloak and saw that the girl had on a red t-shirt, a black skirt with red leggings along with black combat boots on her feet.
The girl had black hair and it was the same length as Mavis's hair but what really got Mavis's attention was the girl's sliver eyes and her milky white pale skin tone.
For some reason Mavis felt as if the girl should've been born a vampire and not a human then shook her head as she watched the girl turn on some music to play.

When the girl finished singing, Mavis felt something resonate within her so she ran to the human girl and hugged her. "What the!" The girl shouted in surprise, she was surprised to see another girl in the forest.
But the girl was even more surprised that the other girl was hugging her. "Are you okay?" The girl asked Mavis, she was crying due to the sadness of the song. "Are you?" Mavis asked the girl, she blinked twice.
"I'm fine but who're you?" The girl asked suddenly, Mavis slowly let go. "My name is Mavis Dracula and you are?" Mavis asked softly, the girl moved back a little. "I'm Ruby Raven." The girl now known as Ruby said.
Mavis and Ruby shook hands. "What're you doing out here?" Ruby asked Mavis, she told Ruby that she'd been taking a moonlit walk. "What about you?" Mavis asked her, Ruby told Mavis about her music practice.
The two girls talked for a few hours and Mavis was surprised to hear that Ruby was staying with the Cartwright's since they're related but it made Mavis happy for some reason to know that she'd get to see Ruby more.
Mavis could feel that Ruby should've been born as a member of her family and not part of a human family but she couldn't fathom why she felt the need to make the human girl part of the Dracula family as her sister.
Before the girls knew it, Mrs. Cartwright was calling for Ruby. "I have to go but see you around?" Ruby asked Mavis hopefully, Mavis smiled at her. "See you around." Mavis replied to her, the girls parted ways for now.
Mavis changed into her bat form in order to get back to the hotel so she could ask her Aunt Lydia, Uncle Gene and Dad about the feelings she'd been getting from Ruby and why she wanted her as part of their family.
Hopefully, the three elder Dracula's would have the answers that Mavis wanted so she could do something about making Ruby a member of the Dracula family since the desire was starting grow without Ruby near her.
First chapter done! I don't own the characters from Hotel Transylvania: The Series or the song in this chapter but I do own Ruby.
