Once upon a time, on the top of M.t Paozu, lived a six year old named Goku. This child in particular was special, keeping in mind that he is a Saiyan, an alien being with a tail. He lived alone, noting that just the year before, he accidentally killed his grandfather Gohan, turning into a great ape and losing all control of himself. Up to now, he doesn't know that he killed his adoptive grandfather and Grampa Gohan didn't tell him, for it would have broken his heart if he knew. (but anyway, back to the story, I've had enough of this flashback).So home goes Goku, having caught a Giant fish which was his dinner for the night, when along comes a fourteen year old Bulma, travelling in a bright red car, casually driving, not minding the fact that she was about to run down a innocent child with a car. As it is, she did, and the
impact pushed Goku back a little. Surprised, and confusing the car for a monster, Goku attacked the car viciously, and threw it aside into a nearby hill. Seeing his strength, Bulma decides to kill him with her gun, and proceeded to shoot him. Goku falls to the ground, temporarily grazed, and decides to attack Bulma next. Remarking that her 'black magic' wont work on him,he tries to strike her, when she surrenders and says, 'I'm not a monster, silly. I'm a girl!' To which he replied that his grandfather always told him to be polite to girls, and offers to take her to his home. Seeing that since she was stranded in the desert,with no other option, she says, 'I guess it wouldn't be too bad..'.
Back at Goku's home..
Bulma checked her dragon ball radar and figured that the weird kid she ran into
earlier had a Dragon ball and attempted to seduce him by offering him a chance to see her - only for Goku to stubbornly refuse. Seeing that she wouldn't get the dragon ball that easily, she explained the legend of the dragon balls, and said, 'Would you like to travel with me to get the dragon balls? I'm sure your grandfather would be proud of you!' Goku asked, a little doubtful, 'Really?' Bulma replied, 'Sure, kid. Seeing his young grandson that he raised venture out all on his own, learning all about the great cities, and crossing the deserts and seeing the oceans. So, we partners?' What she thought in her mind was, 'This kid will make a nice bodyguard until I get my wish. With all the dangers out there, better safe than sorry.'
