Once upon a time, in a faraway kingdom, a young king and queen fell and love and struggled to conceive their first child. With a blessing from a fairy, the queen was given the gift of life a bore a beautiful daughter. This princess was to be named Genevive and she would be the pride of all the kingdom. In her raising, the princess was taught to graceful, wise, and excelled in her studies. As the young girl matured, her parents became searching for a suitor for the girl to marry but on a fateful night, the young princess snuck out to meet a noble girl at the stables, one of her closest friends. The girl's father, upon finding her bed empty, went to search the stables, as she was fond of the horses. He walked into the princess and the noble girl kissing. Out of fear, the noble girl screamed and lied, saying the princess had forced her and acted furiously. This awoke the guards who awoke the royal family. The Queen, upon seeing the scene, looked upon her daughter with horrible disgust. The mother led her to the woods, banishing her, her final gift to her child a slice from her silver dagger across her beautiful face. The princess became known as cursed, and slowly the kingdom healed and forgot her. Somewhere within the forest outside the kingdom, the princess lived, isolated, heartbroken, and scarred.
