CHAPTER 1

She sipped her coffee while watching the show on prime.

She was delighted from inside to finally see, Alex and Piper getting prison married. Shena was blushing while watching this really happen in this episode. She heard some footsteps and changed the sow immediately. It was her brother uri from the other bedroom. He walked out and sat on the sofa in front of her.

"pass me the remote" he said, playfully. "here!iam done. Nothing interesting " Sheena said and walked out of the hall.

She went into the bedroom, drifting into her own thoughts about alex and piper. She thought to herself, "I wish I could be so open and bold about what iam. "

Born into this conservative family, in a country like Burma, I doubt if I could ever be able to tell my parents about my sexuality." Her eyes were filled with tears.

Sheena was 32 years old, working in a small town as a teacher nurse aid in a school. She was married at the age of 26 and was divorced by 30 years. Her issues were not related to sexuality. She had a normal sexual relation with her husband while only she knows if she ever enjoyed. Being born into a conservative society, Sheena was aware that, all that matters is her parents' reputation. She could never be able to voice about her sexuality. Her father was open and an understanding man. But, she would dare to take this to him. No never. Her mom was old school type and she might even disown Sheena. She might as well take her to counseling or perform prayers over her, but never understand what Sheena was.

She knew that nothing was wrong with her. She understood her sexuality and preferences while she was still young. But she knew that there cant be anyone who might understand her. And true to that. With all her friends growing up, she never had these conversations. Most of them fell in love with males and got married. She could never fall in love with men. She knew she can never get attracted to men. She knew it.

Her parents just thought, she was a modest child and respected the family values and hence she never fell for a man and gave into arranged marriage. But Sheena knew. She had no options. Either she falls in for a man and gets into love marriage, or she leave sit to her parents and gets into an arranged marriage.

Which one is better? Definitely an arranged marriage. She left the headache of looking for a man to her parents .

"Sheena – no one sleeps at this time" her mom shouted. "Yes !iam coming", she left the bedroom. And went and joined the family watching the tv. Her mother was on a call with her aunt, Pendra. " oh!okay congratulation" her mom said and hung up after few seconds. Uri asked her mom, what is it ? pendras daughter is pregnant with their first child, Sheenas mom said. They were talking , while Sheenas thoughts drifted back to the conversation she just heard. Pregnant? Well! My parents always wanted me to have a stable family. I couldn't give them their grandchild since I was divorced. When will even uri grow up, get married and give them a child, she thought.

Her thoughts were interrupted - " we need to find her a match soon. I want to play with sheenas kids. Id be an uncle". Uri said." I will spoil them and love them ". He added. Sheena felt extremely uncomfortable with the conversation.

Can a divorce stop me from getting into something that I don't want in life? A second marriage? Already ? why can't I just die, before I have to spend eternity hiding my sexuality, she screamed within.
