PLEASE READ: This Chapter [and this entire fanfiction] is made for the sole purpose of practicing my writing skills and fleshing out different characters and story ideas I have, with that said PLEASE give me feedback: are the fight scenes boring? should I take more time to describe scenes? what else would you like to see?!
However please know these characters and the settings they're from will all be part of a series I will hopefully be creating soon and so they will be changed so don't expect them to remain the same in my future series [I'll update you all if I do release said story in the future].
One last thing: this first chapter will be very long and unrelated to the fairy tail world, it's just so I can properly introduce the characters [no one likes one sided character with a single paragraph to re-account their past life] It will also be unrelated to the future series I'm creating, once again This is just to flesh out my writing skills and develop my characters further, BUT I don't want to waste your time nor do I want to bore you so I'll just speed through a thousand years of history and an entire mini-series worth of writing.
I hope you enjoy this fanfic; I'll make sure that its quality is far better than others and I won't shy away from violence.
...This fanfic will have evil/antihero OC's...enjoy!
Talia had won, she had finally completed what she had set out to do so many centuries ago: bring about humanity ascension with the gift of the Gods...yet as she stood at the precipice of pure darkness, she thought back to the beginning of this new journey of her life...
I suppose a further explanation is needed before this new chapter in Talia's life begins:
Back in the roman era [roughly a thousand years ago] the Viking hordes were deep at odds with the roman armies, with the Vikings constantly launching raids and attacks against the villages towns and even cites of the roman empire.
It was during one of these raids that harbored one of the most terrifying women in history, the pale butcher, this woman was feared by both the roman empire and the Viking hordes she fought alongside with for two reasons.
First was her sheer physical size: measuring at over 6,7 with albino pale skin and a muscle-bound body she was on par with most Viking champions. For her preferred choice of weaponry, she used a massive halberd, the halberd itself was easily over 5 ft, being almost completely useless to most warriors thanks to both its weight and size, yet she held it with a practiced ease and could use her weapon masterfully and with deadly speed.
Talia was clad in revealing and surprisingly scantily clad armor, revealing much of her cleavage and the entirety of her midsection and thighs, with only a leather bra and a thin tunic keeping her more womanly parts private, yet only barely. From the back of her neck and stretching down only to her shoulder blades was the skinned hide of a bear, which was laced with wolf fur, on her wrists she wore two thick leather guards that stretched to the base of her fingers, along with equally thick leather guards at her lower legs that stretched up and over her knees with a pair of thick boots around her feet.
On her skin lay many blue ritual markings that mostly circumferenced her thighs and left breast. Her hair was a greyish white and her eyes a piercing blue, finally everything from just below her eyes and upwards was covered in grey ritual markings with a small grey crown at the base of her hairline, the crown itself being made out of wolf bone, as both the ritual marking and paint on her upper-face was the same colour as the bone it made it look as if the crown was one with her skin giving her a surprisingly inhuman appearance.
The second reason why she was feared was because of her pure brutality in battle: she was well known to completely dominate each battlefield and slaughter her opponents with speed and violence that only a demon or a monster could compare to; what could a common soldier do when your enemy is the size of a small tree wielding a weapon that is easily the same size, if not bigger than you? And outside of battle was no different: she was cold, merciless and had the aura of a warrior, a champion scaring away all of her fellow Vikings when they returned to their homes or encampments.
Thanks to both her inhuman appearance, her power and speed in battle and the crown of bone she wore, she was seen as a Valkyrie by the Vikings, a warrior of the Pantheon and a being which lived for battle. To the romans? A bloodthirsty she-demon.
However, today was not her lucky day, rather It was one of her last days, as a human that is, the small sea-side village the Viking horde was supposed to raid turned out to be one massive trap: the romans had been tipped off by an anonymous source and had been waiting for the Viking horde's attack. When the Vikings first landed the romans burst out of the buildings and supposedly abandoned boats in the harbor, and what was supposed to be an easy raid turned out to be a violent, blood-soaked battle in which both sides took heavy losses.
The Vikings fought to the last, and with the pale butcher on their side they inflicted horrific losses onto the roman legions, but the horde of Vikings didn't have the manpower, weaponry or readiness to fight such a battle as the romans had, with their ships in flames thanks to roman archers with fire-tipped arrows, and their numbers dwindling they made a mad dash to escape, yet most would never make it out of that now blood-soaked village alive, let alone the forests nearby who housed a small armada of bears, wolves and bandits.
Talia, on the other hand, had indeed managed to escape, although she would be wounded heavily, after bisecting and well...butchering a few dozen centurions not a man in the world was brave enough to give chase to her with the troops, and generals simply allowing her to escape into the nearby forests, praying to their gods that she would simply die to the countless dangers of the European woodlands before returning to the now one-sided battle
Talia was now covered in wounds; she was not immortal and roman archers had damn good aim. As of now she had taken refuge in a surprisingly large cave, as the giant of a woman licked her wounds, she cursed herself, furious at her retreat from battle and her first major defeat at the hands of her enemy.
"Damn it all! I swear I'll make those pathetic creatures suffer a thousand hells before I-"
"You won't be able to do that in your current state you know?"
Talia practically jumped out of her skin: how had she not noticed someone sneaking up on her?! She immediately turned with halberd in hand...only to yelp as agony coursed through her, courtesy of an arrow wound to her shoulder and a stab wound in her gut. She was now at the mercy of this unknown voice in the shadows.
"w-whose there?! Show yourself coward!" she yelled as she fought through the pain.
"Now, now I do not seek confrontation with you, Infact I'm here to help you young one..."
"Young one? You dare mock a warrior of the Gods? HA, when I reach the halls of Valhalla you'll be-"
However, she was once again interrupted by the voice.
"Oh, quiet you, while I don't doubt, you're a warrior, it's clear that your just as idiotic as those romans you hate so much. Those Gods of yours are nothing but fairy tales and a mockery to the true powers of the universe!" The voice said, with a new layer of idolization and excitement for the final part of her sentence.
"You speak as if you've seen Odin himself...if you are so blessed to have seen such power surely you would reveal yourself to me?" the warrior asked with a fierce stare into the darkness.
"If that is what you wish, then so be it"
The voice replied followed by the sounds of footsteps, footsteps that sounded bare and light.
Not a moment later a woman appeared, almost completely naked with only belts and pouches around her, they barely cover her bare breasts and groin. Yet that was not the strangest part about her: each pouch was filled with what seemed like, meats and gems, bones and feathers and Viles of liquids of all different colours.
Talia looked for a moment before breaking into a bloody grin
"Oh? What are you supposed to be? Although I like a good whore to fuck, I had no Idea you sluts resided so deep in the wilderness? What? Do the wolves and bears like a good cunt as well as men?! Out of my sight woman!" Talia shouted with the best of her abilities.
"Ah you primitives, retreating to insults as soon as you realize your true weakness...to answer your earlier question I am what you would call a 'witch' although I do not worship the falsities of God and Satan, I Worship something far greater..." The now identified witch spoke in a calm and silky-smooth voice.
"If I had known witches were so...fuckable I would have gone out to find you all...what do you want then woman? If you're here to speak your prophecies then leave! I at least want my final moments to be that of peace." Talia replied, now too weak to continue as the blood loss overcame her, it was almost as if her wounds got worse as the witch approached...
"I can change that for you if you want...for a price of course...no I'm not talking about your soul, rather your loyalty to both me and the powers I worship" The witch said as she crouched down to Talia level.
Talia kept one eye open, which was obviously staring down at the woman exposed breasts rather than her face. Seeing this, the witch continued:
"I offer you women, gold, jewels and a true meaning to your existence...I offer salvation and power that which would make kings look like pawns...and all I need... Is your loyalty, as I said before you merely need to agree with me, accept the powers that I worship, and all of that will be yours...Why would I lie to a dying woman If I had no means to save her? Simply agree and you'll gain gifts that will make 'Valhalla' look like a child's play...now...do you agree?"
Talia was a powerful warrior, yet she was now weak, humiliated and slightly overcome with lust, I did not take too long before she gave a simple nod of the head and fell unconscious much to the delight of the witch who simply smirked in response to her now completed task.
It was a quick yet extremely risky and important mission, she needed the pale butcher, she was a perfect warrior and would become an integral part of her plans and soon to be cult.
All the witch had to do was simple: tip off a few romans to a Viking raid, keep tabs on the pale butcher and guide her to a certain forest. And thanks to her previous scouting, she found the pale butcher to be quite the story:
Her name was Talia, and she had once been a slave, a sex slave to be exact, and throughout the ages of 8 to 27 Talia had been used by others for their own pleasure and sadistic glee. Yet Talia would soon develop a cold, calculating mindset, and would eventually use this new-found intelligence to escape into the world...Yet with no education, no skills other than that of fighting and no family, she would soon find herself going into banditry, before finally proving her skills and becoming a Viking.
It was a sad story really, the girl simply wanted a place to belong to, that much was obvious. And thanks to this Burning desire for acceptation, she would train, train like her life depended on it and would go head-first into the most dangerous missions, fights and tournaments all for the sake of acceptance and power...as power would lead to her never being a slave again, power and strength...they were everything to her.
And so, when Talia lost all this strength, this power and when she was at deaths door, she would do anything to be free once again, to have the world be an open treasure trove again...and so when a naked woman appeared before her, talking of gifts and unimaginable power and wealth...she took it without hesitation. It was also fairly obvious that Talia was a lustful being, she had an entire harem of her own personal slaves back home and was quick to visit any brothel on her journeys, not to mention she would always be happy to rape and pillage in her many raids with her fellow Viking brethren, and so a naked woman claiming of even more women? She would happily accept whatever offer this being had and throw herself into this new chapter of her life...
The witch now prepared for Talia awakening; she had been blessed with the 'gift' and her body had accepted it far slower than the witch predicted, yet it was to be expected: The warrior was far different than most humans, she was massive, insanely strong and had survived, lived and fought in countless extreme conditions, from freezing snow to hailing rain, not to mention she was already wounded and weak making it far harder for the gift to assimilate with her.
However, after three days she awoke, and after a relatively peaceful reveal that Talia was now both completely healed and far more beautiful than she was before, they decided to make a quick test and demonstrate the power of her new found gift:
"Fine, I'm healed and my skin feel smoother...what a gift!" Talia said sarcastically as both her and the witch walked further into the now snow-covered forest
"Fine then, if you are dis-heartened with the gift given to you after I allow you to train and demonstrate it to me...you are allowed to tear my head from my shoulders, sound fair?" the witch calmly asked
"Holy shit...you really are mad, aren't you?" Talia laughed before she descended into thought: ever since she awoke from her supposed three-day slumber, she felt...better in many ways, not only were all of her wounds healed but her weapon felt lighter, she could see clearer and felt cleaner as if dirt no longer stuck to her skin, yet she placed these thoughts to the witch having put cleaning oils and waxes on her, it's not as if she actually gained strength...did she?
they reached a small clearing with a series of rocks and tree stumps scattered around. It was also home to few wooden dummies and a target board were archers tested their accuracy.
"Now, use all your strength to hit that rock there" the witch pointed at a rock that was easily the size of a small bear.
"Whatever you say weirdo, can't wait to put your head on a stick" Talia said before clasping her hand into a fist and punching the rock...only for the rock to crack and splinter with a hole indented deep into it, the rock was easily the size to be used in catapults and trebuchets.
"wh-what?" a flabbergasted Talia said.
"Now kick that tree stump...at its base mind you" the witch said, smugly smiling
Talia did so without complaint, kicking the stump with all her might...only for the deeply rooted stump, which was the size of a dog, to be ripped forth from the ground and be thrown almost nine feet before finally stopping.
"Holy...what the hell did you do witch?!" Talia said with pure confusion and slight anger in her voice.
"I gave you the gift-" The witch began, only to be cut off
"NO GIFT CAN DO THIS! TELL ME WHAT YOU DID!" Talia roared as confusion turned to anger
"Are you satisfied?" The witch asked
"wh-"
"Are. You. Satisfied?" she spoke again"
"...Show me more" Talia said with a quiet tone
"As you wish"
Throughout the rest of the day Talia would continue to perform feats that would be seen as impossible by most: from running for two hours straight without a drop of sweat appearing on her, she could throw rocks hundreds of meters before they landed, she could doge arrows at near point-blank range along with hitting the bullseye with nearly every shot she fired with a bow and arrow, she could catch up to fleeing deer which she hunted in the forest with an ease only a master would have.
It was evening when she finally decided on her fate, which would be made in two sentences:
"Please, teach me more about this gift...I... I beg of you" Taila said as she knelt before the witch
"Then follow me, we have work to do my child" The witch said before they turned around and made their way through the forest, with the gears of fate already in motion...
Talia would go on to live for the next one thousand years, as the 'gift' within her evolved and gained more power, allowing her to perform impossible feats like they were nothing.
However, During the mid-19th century, they would find out what the gift truly was: a parasite, one that would be forced into human D.N.A in order to survive as it could not survive inside the body for long if it did not become one with it, the human bloodstream was too fast moving for the parasite to latch onto the body and begin feeding off of it, and so the parasite would combine with human genes, the parasite however could evolve into something both terrifying and amazing...and so a symbiotic relationship was formed: the parasite would continue to survive in humans while humans would force the parasite to evolve, changing their D.N.A and turning themselves into far greater, and far more terrifying beings.
The 'mother' or the former witch would also go onto live for millennia with Talia as the two gained a cult following, as the parasite spread further and evolved.
It was during this time that Talia found another reason to gain power and survive: her wife, a quiet girl who had joined the cult after being seen as a seductress and witch in her heavily religious village, but before she was burned at the stake, she would be saved by none other than Mother.
The girls name was Tifa, a young quiet thing no older than twenty who felt lost after she was forced to abandon her religion and family, lost and distraught she would become a devout member of the cult, she became a strange being even by the standards of the cult:
She always wore a long robe around her, black on the outside with red trimmings and blood-red jewels and rubies attached to the cloth, and an equally blood-red interior. The robe went up over her head and cover her eyes, yet it seemed as if she was perfectly able to see.
She was completely silent for the most part and slow moving, always seen in the library reading books usually related to science, biology and space. It was on one of these book binges that Talia would spot her and strike up conversation: Tifa eventually grew attached to the intimidating woman, who, although losing some of the muscle mass around her arms and upper body, still remained one of the most terrifying, and strongest, women in the cult.
On the other hand, Talia fell in love with Tifa thanks to two reasons the first was Tifa's loving nature: she would never hurt a fly, nor would she ever raise her voice or try to trick someone; this was most likely from her pervious religious affiliation. The other reason why...Tifa was perhaps one of the most beautiful women to ever exist, and that was before her infection of the parasite which only made her more beautiful.
Tifa also had an extremely voluptuous body, which was only made worse by the parasite which made her what most people would consider Inhumanly beautiful and voluptuous.
However, her body was the reason why she was almost killed by her village, beautiful women were not beautiful in the medieval ages: they were succbi, demons and seductresses. Thanks to this, she would only truly show herself infront of Talia or mother.
Eventually the two women would become inseparable as the centuries went by, marrying less than three years after first meeting each other.
But finally, after centuries of evolving the parasite and planning the cult would eventually succeed in their goal: to ascend humanity to the next evolutionary step.
It happened slowly, the cult, over the course of centuries, would evolve the parasite to survive in even the harshest of conditions, to be able to resist even the strongest medical drugs and cures and to be able to survive in water, air, and outside of the body; this would allow the parasite to become the most infectious pathogen in all of history.
When the time came, it was released en-mass into the cities of China and India and into the rest of Asia, within months the country of China was infected and using the massive airports and ship docks, the parasite spread throughout the world in mere months and would infect every human being in just two years.
Thanks to the parasites ability to connect people's subconsciousness, there were no more wars, practically no crime and barely any resistance to the parasite, allowing humanity to create technology with weeks or months that would have taken decades if not centuries otherwise.
However, there was one person who sought to be free of the parasite, and that was none other than Tifa. After the parasite took hold of humanity and removed a large amount of their free will Tifa had reassured herself it was for the best, When the virus began the 'assimilation' and the remaining humans became nothing more than psychopathic monsters...that was when she realized, she would have to make her move.
During the assimilation Tifa would escape the parasite-infested humanity, who, after the assimilation called themselves the 'ascended'
For years it was unknown where she escaped to, until the 'gate' was uncovered, it was a failed attempt at inter-dimensional travel, it was soon discovered that it was used once during the assimilation.
The gate had to be rebuilt as it over-heated during its first successful opening, once that was done the co-ordinates from its last opening were locked in and Talia immediately volunteered to go through and bring Tifa back. It was once thought that a group could enter yet that was quickly found to be false as the sheer amount of energy used to transport one person to another dimension was already enough to destroy the gate, a group would simply destroy both the gate and kill everyone using it.
After all the preparations were complete Talia was seen standing at the entrance to the gate, with the gate itself being one massive black hole in the ground where the darkness was so dense light would only shine a few feet down before swallowing it completely.
Finally finished thinking back on her long life Talia looked ahead to the pit of darkness that would lead to both the love of her life and an entirely new dimension.
"I'll bring her back; I swear on my life I will." Talia stated out loud.
"I have faith in you my daughter, yet you know what must happen when she returns?" mother asked, as she stood just a few feet from Talia.
"It is only fair, her foolishness however, is simply naivety...we know Tifa too well, I know Tifa too well, and I'll happily take my own share of punishment as well, as her wife...I should have seen this coming"
"If that is what you wish...ah, the gate is opening, return safe, my daughter" were the last words Talia heard as she left the room, an alarm sounded as the gate opened, sucking in all light in the containment area.
"Tifa...come back to me" Talia said softly to herself before jumping into the unknown.
Thanks for reading this first chapter!
I know this could have been done better, (the lore for the OC's world was sub-par at best) but I didn't want to bore you all with a story that wasn't even related to fairy tail. But if you are interested in the lore don't worry! More chapters and flashbacks will flesh out the story further!
Updates should hopefully be daily for a while (finger crossed) and no, I'm not going to ass this to a collection of fanfics that aren't updated in years...I will finish this story this year, I swear.
Next chapter should be out tomorrow evening, see you then!
Words: 4,115
Give reviews and feedback, I want to become a better writer and your words will influence that.
