Chapter 1

The escape

Six's View:

Awoken from the blindness of the calming melody coming from my music box. I turned my head towards the familiar voice that called out to me.

"Hey!" It called out to me. My memories flashed through my mind.

A cold, dark room lit up by one large window. The moonlight revealed chalk drawings and tick marks, marking the days I spent trapped here, listening to my music box. I looked up from my music box at the sound of an axe hitting wood. Something was breaking the door that kept me trapped here. I dropped my music box and backed away, under the table to hide in the shadows, away from this possible threat.

A pinkish purple room suddenly flashed into vision. Through long strands of black hair, I saw my long, warped arms reaching out to grab my large, self-playing music box. I curled my long fingers around it and pulled it closer to watch the handle spin slowly along with the tune. Moving my music box away from the child that stumbled into the room.

"Hey!" It whispered-called to me.

It sounded like the boy that I was traveling with until I was taken. Mono... I looked at the kid expecting to see his familiar bag headed face. I moved forward a little bit, not letting go of my music box. The boy looked different. Knowing Mono, he wouldn't take his bag off, so this must be someone else. But his voice sounded the same along with the clothes he wore.

"Hey, it's me, Mono!" The boy called through his messy black hair.

I moved closer to him and placed my music box down so we could share the calming tune it had it offer. Mono walked over to the music box and placed his hand on it. Once he did, he got zapped by the box. Mono pulled his hand away and looked up to my hood and hair covered face. Mono looked around the room then ran out of my sight. I didn't care about what he was doing, all I wanted was the melody of my music box.

Mono cams back dragging a hammer behind him. Odd, what does he want to do with that? He dragged it over to the music box. Mono looked up at me with tears in his eyes.

"Sorry, Six! Please forgive me!" Mono shouted right before raising his hammer above the music box.

He's going to destroy my music box! I lunged forward too late as the hammer struck the box. The box let out a painful shock wave that knocked me to the ground. I felt anger boiling in me and I let out a loud animalistic screech. HOW DARE HE?!

"Six?..." Mono's voice called to me as I was snapped out of my memories.

The boy stood next to the broken music box and looked at me with worry written on his face. I stood up and looked at Mono, anger still bubbling inside me from the memory.

Anger quickly vanished and was replaced with fear. The walls around us started crumbling away to reveal a fleshy wall of eyes. The monster of eyes and flesh began to close in on us.

I saw a doorway and I dashed to it with Mono not far behind me and the eye monster behind Mono. I saw Mono trip over a doorway that was the entrance to the long bridge of concrete, which I was already halfway across. I stumbled as the ground under me was crumbling away. I jumped onto the other side as the ground fell away into the void below.

I turned around and saw Mono running with the eye monster practically on his heels. That gap has to be too wide for him to jump. I leaned over the gap and stretched my arm out for him when he needed to jump. Mono ran and jumped at the last second to get enough momentum.

He JUST landed the jump. I was amazed at his jump. I thought I would need to catch him, but apparently not. Mono grabbed my hand and lead me to the static TV doorway ahead. Buzzing soon filled my ears and mind as Mono lead me through the TV and out the signal tower.

This is just a preview, I may change some of the content. I am writing this story on paper. Once I am satisfied with the written part I will upload more. Leave comments on what your ideas are I am always available for inspiration! I will be adding three new characters a female deer named Grace and her fawns, Buck and Fawn.
