Prologue

It was Halloween night at Godric's Hollow as a tear tore open in the sky. The tear was a portal to the Ghost Zone, an infinite realm of magic and the dead. From the portal appeared four spirits, two men and two women each dressed in a different colored robe and whose ages ranged from their late forties to early fifties. The four descended upon a cottage that had from first appearances looked to have been through a war zone. Floating through the walls they passed the living room where the body of a young man laid by the stairs dead, the man was James Potter. They all stopped for a moment and silently mourned his death. The four never met James in person, but they did know of him when he was born as he was closer to them then he or anyone ever known. James was a wizard of pure blood who grew up in the Wizarding World of Britain. While the Potter family was an old and noble house no one knew just how noble it had become in recent centuries. The four then proceeded upstairs as they heard the cries of two babies calling for their mother. As they entered the nursery they found a young woman who was the mother Lily Evans Potter dead by their crib. In the crib were two boys barely over the age of one crying their mom. One of the boys had a lightning bolt scar on his forehead and the other had one shaped like a snowflake. The female ghost in yellow went to hold them. "Oh you poor things, I know you want your mommy and I'm so sorry for what has happened to you both," she said cradling them. The male ghost in green spoke up "Our proud noble lineages reduced to two little whelps, how the mighty have fallen," he said with a grown on his face. The male ghost in red then spoke to his compatriot "Still it is incredible that they both survived the killing curse. I suppose that must mean they're something special to them," he explained while the green one grinned slightly at this and said "Thank their mother." Then the female ghost in blue finally spoke "Enough talking we don't have a lot of time we need to go" she said as the one in yellow then turned. "We know Rowena, but must we truly separate them, they're all they have left." She said as she was rocking the boys to sleep. The ghost now known as Rowena then took the snowflake marked boy from her and replied, "To protect them both, the world must believe for now that only one has survived, that way the element of surprise will aid them." The man in green then spoke up, "But Riddle knows that both boys are alive and is now connected to them both. So once he regains his power he'll finish them off." He explained to Rowena. The woman didn't answer him, instead casted a complex fidelius charm on the boy in her arms. "Now his identity as a Potter is safe as all those who see the two won't realize they're twins. He is also his own secret keeper so anyone who hears this will see through the charm." She explained as she then opened a portal to the Ghost Zone and motioned her comrades to move, but as they were they heard a voice behind them "Danny?" the other boy simply asked not knowing where the strangers were taking his brother. Guilt hung on all the ghosts' faces as they knew separating the boys was probably going to be seen as cruel and unforgivable to both after losing their parents, but their plan was now in motion and there was no backing out now. The ghost in red knelt by the crib and said "forgive us little one, but you're going to have to say goodbye to your brother for now. But I assure you that in a decade you will be reunited. So until then be safe and well Harry Potter." After saying that the four went through the portal and that was the last time Harry saw his brother and he won't see him again until after their eleventh birthday.

Far away from Britain in The United States of America more specifically Chicago Illinois a portal opened outside of a hospital where the four ghosts and the boy with them emerged. "You know it's ironic, for as powerful as we wizards are the muggles have surpassed us in many fields with simple science and hard work alone." The green one said as he looked on in marvel at the city's impressive skyscrapers. "They have come a long way and hopefully one day the two worlds will be united in both magic and science." He said as he also looked on. "Rowena then transfigurated a box to a basket and placed the boy in it along with a letter. The ghosts could only hope that he would find a good family to take him in. As Rowena opened another portal and the others went through she looked back on the boy and said "Good luck, Daniel Potter."

I'm new at this so review if you have any complaints. Again I don't own either story.
