Story summary: National City, it would seem like any other Metropolitan area with people going about their lives without a care in the world as they try to get from one destination to the next. While that would remain true for some, not so much for others. As new aliens come to threaten the Earth, Supergirl and the DEO are quick to action in order to stop them. However, things change even further when Lena Luthor, half-sister to Superman's old nemesis Lex Luthor comes to the city in order to clean up her brother's past mistakes and take over his company. There are those who would support the new Luthor's efforts, others more weary given her brother's past crime wondering if she is anything like him, & worst, those who would do anything in their power to prevent her from ever accomplishing her goal. Prior to the opening of the new L-corp, Superman and Supergirl discover that someone is targeting Lena and try to assassinate her. While not in the DEO's jurisdiction, Kara decides to get herself involved as both Kara Danvers & Supergirl, to help bring her attempted assassin's to justice, and get to know Lena herself. However, neither could ever imagine how close the two would become and maybe, a relationship between a Super & a Luthor could work.
(A/N: I know this fanfic is going to be shocking to a lot of you especially as many you can tell from my other projects and on social media, I am NOT a major fan of the Supercorp relationship and much prefer Karamel, Karadox, and/or SuperBat. I would go into why, but that would be a whole friggin tangent in itself that I would prefer not to get into right now as if I went into my specific reasoning, this author's note would be as long as a full long chapter. I will say that my main problem with it is how the writers in the show try to make Lena not want to be a 'Luthor' like her brother Lex or Lillian, yet she clearly does become like them throughout the show, especially in season 5 when she tried to mind control humanity with her Non Nocere experiment. I personally prefer what they were initially doing in Season 2 where she was focused on helping people and trying to fix her brother's past crimes and in that season, I did like the friendship between Kara and Lena. It felt genuine and sweet even if I PERSONALLY saw it in a platonic sense while I ship Kara and Mon-El in a romantic sense. Getting back on point, the main reason I'm working on this fanfic is because of the fact that a while ago on Wattpad a friend of mine who is a Supercorp shipper wrote a Karamel fanfic as a gift to me and I thought that was very kind and considerate of them. And so, I thought it'd only be fair if I write a Supercorp fanfic for them in return despite the fact I love Karamel more. In this story, I am gonna have it start from the beginning of season 2. Also removing the part where Mon-El lands on Earth as I am trying to write the story unbiasely as possible and I personally don't want any negative connotations towards the character with how a certain part of the fandom can react. Plus I feel his presence is not necessarily required with the story I have in mind. I hope those of you who read this enjoy what I came up with and let me know what you think in the comments below.)
