chapter 1

This is the Universe and I work here my name is Brenda Lightyear, my partner Warp Darkmatter and I are on space defense team and a message about three missing little green men came in and now we have to search for them even if it takes us to infinity and beyond.

"Brenda Lightyear mission log, we have searched this gaseous rock top to bottom and still no sign of the missing personnel," she said.

"Brenda enough of the reports we still have searching to do," Warp said.

"Warp my friend the order of this separates us from the wicked forces of chaos," Brenda said.

"I understand that but we still got to keep searching," Warp said.

"Let's double check the dark side of this rock," Brenda said. "I think we may have missed a few areas," she said.

"I'll drive," Warp said.

They were moving along in the rover things were going smoothly and they heard some screams from behind. Brenda and Warp turned around and saw three LGMs. "How did they get back there without us seeing them?" Warp asked.

"I think these three are stowaways," Brenda said. "This will make the job more difficult," she said.

"Must save the lost ones," the LGMs said getting out of the rover and heading out.

"We are going to find your friends we just don't know where they are to be exact," Warp said.

"Here," one of them said.

"How do you know?" Brenda asked.

"Mind link," they said.

"We know you have a mind link but how can that help us?" Warp asked.

"Evil," they said.

"Are you trying to freak us out or something?" Warp asked.

"It's my worst fear come true," Brenda said.

"Here we go," Warp said.

"It's the work of the evil emperor Zurg sworn enemy of the galactic alliance," Brenda said.

"Are sure Brenda? I think so you will behind every cat stuck up a tree," Warp said.

"Hey!" Brenda said putting her hands on her hips.

"All I know is we have searched the zeta quadrant far and wide and this moon too and we haven't found thing, and I don't know what think it's just," Warp said. Then he saw Brenda looking freaked. "There is something bad behind me isn't there," he said gesturing behind himself.

"Crater Viper look out," Brenda said tackling him. "You okay?" she asked.

"Yes and where are the LGMs?" Warp asked.

"There they go," Brenda said. More Crater vipers appeared. "I thought Crater vipers never hunt in packs!" she said.

"I thought so too," Warp said.

The two of them started to fight the crater vipers and then something happened. "Yikes a Crater viper slag monster mutant," Brenda said.

"Oh my word," Warp said. "There go the LGMs," he said.

They grabbed the LGMs and landed on the ledge above. Brenda figured out the missing LGMs were below the monster. Then they saw Zurg's mark. "Zurg alright," Warp said.

"Just I as I thought," Brenda said.

Meanwhile the brainpods were trying to figure out the LGMs mind link when Zurg came into interrogate the LGMs.

Brenda and Warp were trying to get in. Brenda couldn't cut through the door with her laser. "Blast it muse be a resistant alloy," she said.

"I will give a shot but it's kind of mean and nasty," Warp said. Then he went up and knocked on the door and hid. A grub opened the door and Warp slammed it on him. He opened the door. "There we are, after you madam," he said.

Brenda went in as did the LGMs. "Go back to the ship and wait," Brenda told them.

"No," they said.

"I understand this personal for you guys but," she said.

"No," they said.

"We are reaching a restricted area," she said.

"We feel the pain ow," they said.

"It's their mind link," Brenda said.

"I was always wondering as research had never been my forte is how you little fellas do that?" Warp asked.

"The unimind," they answered.

"Unimind I heard of it I believe, have you Brenda any idea what it is?" Warp asked.

"It's the mystical orb that links all of LGM kind it's on their homeworld not much is know about the orb," Brenda said.

"I see, anything else I need to know?" Warp asked.

"No I don't think so," Brenda said.

"Then let's go," Warp said.

Then Brenda burst into the room and destroyed the dissector bot. "Zurg you are under arrest for trying to dissect Star command personnel," Brenda said.

"Ah Lightyear," Zurg said. "I will have you taken care of, hornets destroy Brenda Lightyear," he said. "Prepare to die Brenda Lightyear," he said and left.

"Not today Zurg," she said and started to fight the hornets and save the LGMs. Then Warp appeared on the elevator.

"Need a lift?" he asked her.

"Let's go after Zurg," Brenda said.

"Not today Lightyear because I hit the self destruct on my way out it's a moon of doom now," Zurg said.

"Self destruct in 60 seconds," the computer said.

"60 secs?" Brenda said.

"All the time we need," Warp said and they started to fight to get out. Brenda got her leg stuck and Warp freed her. "Let's hurry up and get out of here," he said.

"Good idea," Brenda said as one of the bots blew up and it activated her thruster pack. She was out. "We're out Warp?" she said and didn't see him. "Oh no he's still inside," she said. Then the base blew up. She landed and started to search for him. "Warp where are you," she said. All she found was his grandfather's watch which he always carried.

Brenda made it back to Star command she was determined to find Warp. While the rest of the space rangers thought he was dead. A few years passed and there were some new rookies training.

They were doing their best. Brenda came in and saw them. "They seem to be doing well," Brenda said.

"Hi Brenda," Ty said coming in.

"Hello Ty, I hope the wirewolf in you hasn't chased any mailmen," Brenda said teasing.

"Ha ha, very funny," Ty said with sarcasm.

"Hi Brenda and Ty," Rocket said coming in.

"Hi Rocket," Brenda said.

"Okay everyone get ready we are cranking it up to level 9 people," Nebula said.

"Are you sure about that sir? They are just rookies I train at level 9," Brenda said.

"I know," Nebula said.

The rookies did their best and two came out on top. "That was impressive," Brenda said.

The two of them came up. "Brenda meet Mira Nova, and Emily Wilde along with them you will be teamed up with Rocket Crockett and Ty Parsec," Nebula said.

"But Warp I know he's still out there," Brenda said.

"Brenda you don't think he's still alive? You searched that whole moon for him after the explosion, he's not coming back everyone in Star command knows that," Nebula said.

"Everyone here is wrong I know that Warp is alive and out there," Brenda said. "I know he needs help," she said. Then she left and ran into Booster a janitor who wants to be a space ranger. "Don't worry Booster you will pass the entrance exam just keep studying the manual,' she told him.

"Thanks Brenda," Booster said.

"No problem," Brenda said.

Brenda met XR a robot that the LGMs built.

Meanwhile on Planet Z Warp has been a long time prisoner of Zurg's and had had a device put on his head for mind control. He hates that device and hates what Zurg has been making him do. "Now Darkmatter you can do this willingly and I will remove the device and you will be my number one agent," Zurg said.

"I will never do it, I will never betray star command or the galactic alliance, I will also never betray my friends and family, I will always be a space ranger to core," Warp told him.

"I thought today day you would see it my way I guess not, I guess now to get the answers about the LGMs I have to use my mind reader on you," Zurg said.

"Uh oh," Warp said.

Once it was used Zurg learned of the unimind. "I wonder if it even exists I must find out," Zurg said and sent a drone. Poor Warp he was hating all the stuff that has happened Zurg examining his mind and forcing him to commit crime he felt awful. He wondered how could he ever call himself a space ranger again?

Zurg saw the unimind and wanted it. He started the mind control for Warp to go get it.

When that happen Brenda and XR went out to protect the unimind and saw an unknown person in a space suite attacking. XR was badly damaged. The LGMS fixed him up.

Star command started fall down hill thanks to Zurg. Brenda, Ty, Rocket, Emily, Mira and XR went out in a rocket.

"Where are we going?" Booster asked.

"We are going to planet Z," Brenda said.

"Brenda that is crazy," Ty said.

"I agree with the wirewolf," Rocket said.

"We have to get to the Unimind and fix it," Brenda said.

Once on planet Z Brenda started to look for Zurg and ran into that unknown person again. She fought him and knocked off his helmet and saw it was Warp. His eyes were glowing it was like he was in a trance. "Warp snap out of it come on," Brenda said.

"Not a chance Lightyear he is under my complete control he has no free will of his own thanks to my mind control," Zurg said.

Brenda pulled something out of her pocket it was Warp's watch. Warp saw it and started having flashbacks the device shorted out and he collapsed. The device fell off and he got up. "Ugh what happened?" he asked and he saw the device on the ground sparking and then he saw Brenda. "Brenda," Warp said he got up and punched the hornets out of the way and freed her.

"Thanks Warp I knew you were out there still," Brenda said.

"You can't get rid of me that easy girl," Warp said.

The two of them were fighting hornets and Warp got hurt.

Rocket saw them. "Looks it's Brenda," Rocket said.

"Look it's Warp and he's alive, Brenda was right about him still being out there," Ty said.

Mira, Emily, Booster and XR were helping too. Things were looking bad and Warp was hurt bad and couldn't keep it up. "Booster and XR get Warp some place safe until his injuries can be treated, Rocket and Ty cover them, Mira and Emily with me," Brenda said.

The space rangers started to work. Mira ghosted Brenda through to fix the unimind and it worked. Mira went back into get Brenda out. "Brenda," Warp said.

Mira came out with Brenda who was alright.

"That was too close for comfort," Emily said.

Things were fine now and Warp was being treated. "I am so glad this whole ordeal of mine is finally over, and I can soon get back to being a space ranger," Warp said.

"I am glad I found you because I knew you were out there and I couldn't shake the feeling although everyone was telling me I was wrong," Brenda said.

"I am glad you were looking for me and I look forward to working together again," Warp said.

"We still make a great team," Brenda said.

"We sure do and we do well with our old friends and the newbies and are you thinking what I am thinking?" Warp asked.

"Yes," Brenda said.

"Well Lightyear looks like with your older partner still being alive and once healed you two can go out again and stop evil, and you believed she was out there when others doubted you," Nebula said.

"Well Warp and I have an idea in mind if you are okay with it," Brenda said.

"I'm listening," Nebula said.

A few weeks later. Brenda and her team including a fully healed Warp were awarded medals. They took off into space.

"To infinity and beyond," the team said.

This is only the beginning.
