AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Hello everyone! This is a fanfiction story made by me! So there are other things that I want to clarify. Here's the following:
1. This is a major SPOILER to the manga/anime of "The Promised Neverland". So better NOT read this if you haven't watched/read "The Promised Neverland". Also, there are some spoilers from TPN's novel spin-off, "A Letter from Norman", so it's up to you to continue reading this.
2. The scenes that will happen here are mostly from TPN, but of course, some happenings, decisions, endings (?) and such will change.
3. Some characters will not be here, but new characters will be shown throughout the story. So stay tuned!
4. This is a NorEmma ship story, so expect more scenes from them. It is not exaggerating, though. I'll still follow the characters' personalities and I might do some 'character development' on them. Even though it is NorEmma ship, don't expect that it will be focused on that. I will base this fanfic on the whole plot of TPN. To RayEmma shippers, or whoever hates NorEmma, (I hope no one hates them.) just don't proceed on reading this. Because I am already telling you, NorEmma is canon here on my story. (lol)
5. Just a warning. This story contains inappropriate words, and scenes like swearing, violence, and other things that are not suitable for 'too young' readers. So please do not continue if you are a sweet little bunny cake! (uwu)
6. Enjoy reading! Also, I am not the type of person who updates regularly, so please understand if I won't have an update every week or something. But rest assured, I'll always try to update as long as I am free and I am in the mood.
So that's it. Also, credits to the owner of the photos that I put on this fanfic. The book cover I used was edited by me, but the photos regarding the character's photo, and the background were all from google and to their respective artist. ( Amaretto 23 and TORA KUN).

CHAPTER 1: RUINED PLAN
Norman's POV
"Thank you for the food!" Everyone started eating happily. I stared at my meal and slowly started eating, too. I needed to show Mama that I don't know about the real thing that is happening in this house. Though, I had a hunch that Mama already knows about it. But still, doing this is way better.
After knowing that Ray was the spy, I build a certain plan on my mind. Well, it was still a tentative plan. The pieces of this puzzle are not completed yet. I still need to know one thing-outside the wall.
And today was this day. We are now able to check what's on behind the wall. Ray, being the 'spy' of mama will distract her so that we'll be able to go out. Emma and I will go to the wall while Don and Gilda guard mama outside. They will also be our backup if our plan does not go well.
After eating breakfast and taking exams, we always gather outside to play. Mama will take care of the babies, so it is a great opportunity for us. As the children run outside, Emma, Ray, Don, Gilda, and I nod at each other, a sign that our plan has started.
Ray walks inside the house, stopping Mama from walking outside with Carol. Emma and I quickly run to the forest while Don and Gilda 'play' with others.
As we reached the fence, we stopped running. We looked at each other and smirk as we jumped from it. Emma is faster than me so she came there first. When I finally came, we both stopped for a while catching our breaths.
Emma, who is now breathing normally, smiles brightly at me. "Let's begin, Norman." As on cue, I began tying the well-knotted blanket on the tree.
Ray's POV
Before Mama reached the door, I already stopped her. She looked at me with a questioning look. "I have something to say," I said. Mama stared at me as if she's reading me and then started walking back inside. As we walk, I start talking like what's on our plan.
"Mama, are you done taking care of the other babies?" Ray asked. "Yes, they're asleep. That's why I'm only with Carol. Just tell me what you're going to tell, I have something to tell you, too." Mama said with a plain expression. She puts Carol down on her crib. We walk upstairs to the empty room where we always talk about the 'things' here in the House.
"About Sister Krone," I started. "Like what I said before, she's a big threat. She hated you and even wanted to replace your position." I said as we're walking. I wanted to smile at that thought. I wanted them to destroy each other. We have to hit a stone in two birds.
"And then?" Mama said, not even looked threatened. "You have to make a move because she might tell the other children about the truth in this House. Just like I said, she wanted to replace you." I said.
"Sister Krone?" Mama said. I am only seeing her back so I couldn't see her expression. She stopped walking and slowly leaned her head to me. "I already eliminate her," she said, smiling devilishly. I was stunned. "W-what?!" N-no way? B-but?
My mind got back when she pulled me inside the empty room. She shut the door and stared back at me. No... you can't win. You'll never gonna win. "Oh... so what's your plan now, Mama?" I need to compose myself. We still can make it.
"Nothing. It's done now." Mama lowered her face to match my face. "B-but? Wh-" before I could react, she pushed me causing me to outbalance. I winced in pain. "Your task is all done. Thank you for helping me." I gritted my teeth. That's it. I will not be going to pretend anymore. "Mama, you will never win on this!" I shouted as I tried to stand but- fuck! I can't! She pushed me too hard!
"Hahahaha!" she laughed maniacally. "There are some changes to my plan. You'll gonna see it by yourself." she walked near me and patted my head which I quickly avoid. Damn you, Mama! "Ray, again, thank you. You've been a useful dog to me," she smirked and started walking outside the room. Even though it still hurts, I pushed myself to stand and run but I'm still too late. The door already shuts nd Mama locked it. "Damn it!" I shout as I tried to push the door. No! This is not the end, Mama! I still have a plan. You'll be terrified when it happens. You'll see... I'm gonna outwit you, Mama...
Gilda's POV
"What?" Don was shocked after seeing Mama walking outside. I was shocked, too. I never thought that Mama will go out this early. Emma and Norman were still on the wall. We need to alert them. But wait? "What happened to Ray?" That thought suddenly came out of my mouth. Don and I stared at each other. We ran inside the house and find Ray.
"Ray!" We shouted, looking for Ray. After walking upstairs, we heard a loud thud. "It's coming from that door!" Don said as we ran towards it. "Shit! It's locked!" Don shouted. "Mama has the key!" I said while panicking. This is not good! "Don! Gilda!" shouted Ray from the inside. "Please go help Emma and Norman first!" Ray continued.
"Gilda, could you run to the wall and alert Emma and Norman? Ray and I will follow you later once I opened this door." Don said. I nod and started running fast. I need to get there first before Mama does.
As I run outside the house, I saw Mama walking towards the forest while holding her 'clock'. For sure, she already detected that the two were already there. Now I just need to get there faster than Mama. Mama already knew that Ray is betraying her and I am pretty sure that she knows that we know about the house's secret already. But it doesn't matter anymore! As long as we can see what's behind that wall, our plan could continue. Mama still doesn't know our whole plan so it is still fine. Now we just have to do our plan as soon as possible after this.
Mama puts her clock in her pocket and started walking faster. Now that she won't be able to track me, I tried to run faster so that I can follow her. But, once she reached the iron fence, she runs! I must prow her and alert Emma and Norman. I hope they already saw what's behind the wall before Mama goes there...
Emma's POV
After assuring that the rope was tied properly, we ready ourselves at the wall. "Are you ready?" Norman asked. "Mmh!" I said as I nod while smiling widely. I really can't help but smile. After seeing what's behind the wall, we're finally able to make a perfect plan to escape. My siblings will be free from this monstrous house and we'll be happy forever!
Norman lends his hand, ready to boost me up. I move backward and run fast to make a force. I stepped on Norman's hands to help me reach the higher part of the wall but- "Aaaaahh!" -but suddenly, we fell at each other.
As I recovered from the fall, I gasped and stand quickly. Oh no! I might break Norman's body! "Oh, I'm sorry Norman!" I quickly helped him to stand. "I-I am fine. T-thanks, E-Emma..." Norman said, not looking at me. "Norman, are you really okay?" I am really worried! I tried reaching to see his face but he avoids it. "But why are you avoiding your face?" I cupped his face and gently move it to face me. But now he's covering his whole face with his hands! "Oh no! Do you have a bruise? Did I hurt your face? Let me see!" I said as I tried to remove his hands. "N-no I am really fine-" Yes! I finally removed his hands from his RED FACE? Yes, his face is totally red! "Oh! I'm sorry! I should be more careful!" I am really panicking. How did that-
Norman walks backward as he moved his hands multiple times. "Uhhh no-no! I-I am really fine! I'm sorry, E-Emma! It doesn't hurt at all so please don't worry." As he tries to explain, the reddish color slowly returned to his normal color. I sighed in relief. I'm so glad he's fine. "Ha... Haha... Hahaha hahaha!" I can't help but burst a laugh. Norman seemed shocked at my behavior but ended up laughing, too. "Hahahahahhhahah!" we laughed and then smiled at each other.
"This is it, Norman. We will finally be free." I said with an assurance tone. Norman nods with a genuine smile on his face. I suddenly miss this. This atmosphere where all we felt was happiness. Where everyone is free and laughing. But now, after all that happened, we can't help but laugh with fears inside. I just missed playing with everyone while enjoying it. I missed laughing with everyone with fun. I hope someday, we could laugh without worries anymore...
"We will be. We'll all be free just like what you said, Emma." Norman said, supporting my words. "I am going up again, Norman. Are you sure you can carry me?" I asked. He might fall again if he tries to boost me. "Yes, I can do it now," Norman assured me. "Okay, I'll do it more quickly." If I am faster, I might not make Norman fall, and the force will boost me to run up on the wall. "Yes. Also, we don't know until when can Ray distracts Mama so please do it faster." I trust Norman so I know that he can do it. I slightly walk backward and run faster with all energy I've got. I stepped on his arm and then I felt that he pushes me upward. I lifted my feet to the wall and it worked! I held the rope tightly as I tried to reach the top of the wall.
"Emma, N-Norman! P-proceed quickly! M-mama will c-come here!" I suddenly heard Gilda's voice while running out of breath. I quickly gaze at them but focused back on reaching the top. This wall is almost 4-5 times taller than us. But I can do this! I just need to see the top and then go down and hide before Mama comes.
"Hello, my dear children~~~" my world almost stops as I heard those words. M-mama... M-mama is here.
"Don't stop, Emma! We will stop Mama!" Norman shouted. I heard them running and trying to stop Mama from walking ahead.
I still got this! Even if I'm kind of tired, I do my best to run until yes! I reached it. I held the tip of the wall as the rope still tied on my belly, supporting me. "Just a little bit!" I said as I force myself to go up the top-
"AAAHHHHHHHHH!" I stopped. That w-was... Norman. While I am still holding the tip of the wall, I slowly lean my head to see what happened.
I- I am completely stunned. I saw Don and Ray who just came by now, who are both shocked. Gilda... Gilda was crying. Mama... Mama is smiling softly while caressing Norman's hair. And Norman... N-Norman is now squirming in pain.
I don't know, but my body automatically moves. I swing back onto the ground and quickly run into Norman. "Norman!" Norman can't even open his eyes. I can see that he's in so much pain. "Mama! Why are you doing this?!" I glance at Mama and cried. This is too much!
Mama smiled at me and cupped my face, "...because I love you all, my children.." I angrily removed her hand at me. "No, you don't! You never love us!" I shouted. I felt like stabbed at the back. I already know before that Mama is an enemy, but this made me realized it much more. She never loves us! All the things she did to us are fake!
"M-mama... D-did you really..."
"No, Ray. I broke it cleanly. For sure, this will heal after a month or two." Mama said while tying Norman's legs. "I hope it will heal before your birthday, Ray," Mama smirked. We are all angry but Ray's rage is more visible. He gritted his teeth and started running into Mama but Don holds him.
Mama stands and lifts Norman. Norman... I hope you'll be okay. Mama walks back into the house, but after few steps, Mama leans back again. "Oh, by the way, I forgot..."
"Emma, as I said, I love you all. That's why...
...tomorrow, will be your shipment."
