Author's Note: Hey, y'all! Wow, first, a Finding Nemo request, and now, A Bug's Life request for my best friend QMDisneyPokemon14. Story takes place before the bugs have children (usually my OC's). It was a beautiful morning in the city of Bugdom. The sun shone through the horizon; all of the bugs were awake, walking down the streets, starting their day.
The widow spiders remaining: Joanna and her children, Josie and Reginald, came to visit Rosie, and eventually Dim, too.
Joanna motioned Josie and Reginald to stay back, and they reluctantly agreed. Then, she went to the door and knocked on it.
"Rosie, sweetie, are you in there?" Joanna asked.
"Mom, I don't think she's answering," Reginald said.
But when the door opened, there stood only Dim.
"Oh, hi, Dim!" Josie greeted.
"Yeah, is there something that can be done for you?" Dim questioned.
"We're here to check on Rosie," Reginald replied.
Dim blushed, but surely responded back,
"Well, I am afraid that Rosie isn't feeling joy yet."
"Oh, my! Can you take us to her?" Josie said with concern.
Dim surely nodded, but with shyness, led the widow spiders to check on Rosie. As Rosie was sitting on the bed, she felt her mood swings kicking in.
Joanna, Josie and Reginald were both concerned at the same time.
As Dim motioned Joanna to cheer up Rosie, she reluctantly agreed. As Joanna scuttled to Rosie, she said,
"Hi, Rosie, sweetie, what's wrong?"
"I... I can't tell," Rosie said, but began to have a kind of morning sickness.
Josie motioned Reginald to get a cup of water, and once he did so, she reassured her twin sister.
"Hey, sis, it's okay, just tell us!" Josie chimed in.
Rosie, with confidence, sighed heavily, and surely said,
"I'm pregnant."
After hearing these words, Joanna squealed for joy, so did Josie, while Reginald heard it, and got overjoyed, too. Once the spiders but Rosie motioned Dim to get the others, he nodded and got the other circus bugs.
Much, much later...
The other circus troupe went inside Rosie and Dim's home after hearing the news that the two were expecting.
Hearing these words, Rosie felt much more of a morning sickness, as if she was gonna throw up or something. Josie and Reginald helped their sister get a drink of water.
"Hey, is Rosie okay?" Molt asked.
"Oh, she's just having a morning sickness," Joanna replied.
"Oh!" the circus troupe said in unison.
"Well, we were wondering if that was a surprise," Francis said.
"I wonder if there'll be a party of candy corns, my favorite!" Heimlich added excitedly.
"Oh, Heimlich," Slim chimed in as he facepalmed himself with a chuckle.
Tuck and Roll chuckled at the same time.
"I hope our dear is doing fine," Gypsy said.
"Well put, Gypsy, my dear!" Manny said and held her hand as he turned to their daughter Ramona,
"Ramona, my dear, looks like you're gonna have another cousin after Flika, your first one."
"Yippee! A new cousin!" Ramona cheered as she jumped up and down for joy.
"I'm back, guys!" Rosie said as she thanked her siblings Josie and Reginald.
As Dim blushed even harder than ever, he thinks that a child that'll be expected would be hard to make him and her first time parents soon. Rosie reacted and reassured him.
"Hey, it's okay, Dim. I know how you feel. It'll be fine. You'll be a father, as soon as I'll be a mother. Do you trust me?" Rosie said.
Dim felt confused at the same time, and turned to Joanna, Josie and Reginald, who nodded. Once he turned to the circus troupe, they nodded as well. But when Tuck and Roll chuckled, they snickered, and made kissy sounds. Rosie facepalmed herself and told the others,
"Excuse me."
Then, she grabbed the pill bugs by the antennas and tossed them back into their own home from hers and Dim's home.
As Rosie returned, she continued to reassure Dim.
"Like I said, honey. I know it'll be hard to become parents when our boss makes us go to work early at the circus, but we can take our child, and even Manny and Gypsy's child to Ant Island for babysitting by our friends Flik, Atta and Dot. Now, you trust me, don't you?" Rosie questioned again.
Dim surely stopped blushing, took a deep breath with confidence and said,
"Yes. I trust you."
Then, he embraced her with passion. With a smile, Rosie kissed Dim on the horn.
Joanna, Josie, Reginald and the other circus bugs except Tuck and Roll felt awed in unison at the same time.
It was nighttime; the circus bugs bid each other goodnight.
Inside the home of the Ferocious Beast and the Mistress of High Wire, Joanna, Josie and Reginald went to the guest room to share. On the other hand, Rosie and Dim tiredly but surely went to their own room for bed.
While sleeping soundly but silent, Rosie cuddled Dim while massaging his foot. As well, Dim cuddled Rosie back as while smoothing her abdomen.
The bugs were all sound asleep, as night starts progressing.
