I AM BACK! Hopefully I will start writing once again. It has been a while since I wrote an incomplete fanfic or two (sorry about that by the way maybe someday I might pick them back ^_^)
Prologue
No...not yet.
Her breathing hitched.
I can't… not here.
Her vision was blurry… her hearing was gone and her entire body was aching in pain.
Give up?… I can't give up.
The soreness in her throat, the grinding of her teeth, the tear on her muscle all adding onto her misery… all making her cry out in pain.
I have to save him…
No matter what happens to me, the boy deserves to live.
As her eyes landed on what she wanted to protect, her heart broke. Her entire being silently screamed in horror and despair as to what she had witnessed
No!
Her broken gaze landed straight right on the mangled corpse of her saviour, of her hero whose arms and a leg have been twisted to a point where even a single thread of muscles wasn't attached to the torso. The top half of his body was leaning on a wall as rebar was poking out from where his heart, liver and stomach should be, it almost made her vomit at the sight.
The hero's right arm was next to the rest of his body and was laying there charred to black. His hero costume was torn and shredded showing how much damage that boy- No! man has truly taken. Dried blood was all over his body with scars, burn marks and other forms of wounds all for the world to see
The top of the hero's face wasn't visible because of all the green bloodied hair covering it but the bottom part showed the skin covered in blood and tears. Even with all of that, there was still a small smile visible.
She cried out in despair and at how unfair it all was. All the suffering, all the pain and all the hardships they had gone through meant nothing if this is how it all paid out.
She deserves this. Hell! Every single person that calls themselves a Pro Hero deserves this. They practically forced children to fight in a goddamn war which they knew wasn't going to be as smooth sailing as they would've hoped it to be.
But not him… Why him? He was just a kid.
She forced her body to crawl towards him, not caring if she slid on top of a dead Nomu or two. Even with both her legs broken and one of her arms missing, she still had enough tenacity to not only lay next to him but to cover his body with her own, nuzzling her face on his tear glistened cheeks.
Her eyes looked at him with a broken look, followed by admiration, awe, love, lust, grief and appreciation. His fight with that monster was unlike no other, so much of the truth that she wasn't supposed to know were revealed to her but that didn't let the boy distract him.
His body and mind was of a one track mind, to put down the person who destroyed so many lives for his own vendetta. It didn't even matter in the end as the monster was just a puppet manipulated to be a pawn whilst acting like a king.
Deku did what he believed needed to be done. He already tried saving the monster from the darkness, from all the manipulations but it all was for naught. In the end, he made an impossible decision to put a stop to the madness even if it killed him to do so.
If there was one thing she hated and loved about that boy was that he was too generous, too kind and too selfless for his own good.
How could she blame him though when she knew how much he suffered in his past. How everyone put him down to make him not exist, telling him that he would be a nobody, killing him from the inside without them themselves realizing.
She was glad that Yagi Toshinori chose Izuku Midoriya to become the ninth user of One for All. Izuku had made all the right decisions in an apocalyptic situation. They should've lost the Paranormal Liberation War but with Midoriya taking the helm at the right time, not only did they win but also gave the heroes a new shining light at the end of a very bloody tunnel.
My Hero… My Love.
The problem lay in the fact that he had only one year with that kind of power and unlike everybody else, Izuku didn't even know what it was like to have a quirk in the first place. Everything was so new to him, not just the power but the friends that come with it. U.A. was the first place in his whole life that didn't make him feel miserable, that didn't make him feel all alone.
He wasn't ready for this… nobody was but especially not him.
Her gaze was stuck on his face for the longest time. He was so young yet he looked so old. Her heart was beating slower and slower the longer her gaze lingered the rest of his body. She was certain that this was her end, her own arrogance in her fight against the Super Nomus led to her decimation. It made her cry even harder when she realized that the only thing she could get to offer her hero now was a kiss on his cold dead lips. She laid down her head on her shoulders, both faces glistened with tears
If only I had a second chance to make things right.
This is how Rumi Usagiyama passed away as she lay there embracing the corpse of a stu- No! A Hero who had given his life away to defeat the Super Nomus and to fight and kill the leader of the League of Villain and the main adversary of U.A. High ever since the year began…
Tomura Shigaraki AKA Tenko Shimura.
The Raid was considered 'successful' in most regards considering the main objective was to eliminate the threat known to the world as the next coming of "All for One"
But the price paid for that victory was not something to scoff at. It wasn't what the heroes needed nor wanted. Izuku Midoriya AKA Deku was probably the one of the few up and coming heroes that not only had the most potential out of the lot but also the only one to have the approval of the Hero Killer Stain who considered him to be a true hero at the same level as All Might.
