One Eye for One Planet

Four million years ago, a Decepticon named, Shockwave, was given a task as guardian of Cybertron by no other, Lord Megatron. As his leader and the rest of the army went after the escaping Autobots, the one eyed mech was left alone in the planet, all by himself. What did Shockwave do during those years? G1.

Author's Note: This is my first fanfiction. Reviews are welcome! :) Anyway, this story was written out of this question, "What did Shockwave do during those 4 million years?"

"You are to stay behind. I entrust Cybertron to you!..."

"Fear not, Megatron! Cybertron shall remain as you leave!"

Days had passed, and not a single word had been spoken from the computer. He had been desperately trying to contact the Decepticon team that were after the escaping Autobots, onboarding the Ark; Megatron was with that team. Growing weary, the purple mech with his signature single yellow-optic, lowered his helm down, facing the keyboard controls. He had to try it again.

"Lord Megatron! Do you copy?" After he had pressed the button on the panel to speak to the receiving end, he said his usual line, and got his usual response, silence and static. He felt like giving up but one thing was keeping him from thinking that was the last words he had said to him; making sure Cybetron was still the same as it was. No matter what happened to them, he must do what he was told to do.

A year went by, and he managed to build guardian robots from a factory that was abandoned by the Quintessons eons ago. Those pre-programmed robots were to gather energon that were scattered in Cybertron, and put them in the storage area at the lower level of the building. While his guardians were scavenging and patrolling for invaders, he was thinking of something else. How long would he wait? Should he have more faith? What was his team's fate? Questions after questions seemed an endless string of confusion. Worse, a fuel to his growing illusion. Only logical thing would be to stand still in his position.

"This is no time for such worrying disposition." He thought. For such a higher power of thinking, a recharge was the thing he sought. It was a tiring day after all to think about it. He worried so much about his master, Megatron. I wonder how they were doing?

The purple mech with a single yellow-optic could only sigh in silence, before lying on his berth, and slipped into a state of recharge.

That mech was Shockwave.
