Vail looked out to the Kingdom from her tower. People laughing, singing, and selling. it was a magical day.
"Your ready my gem?" Her father asked as he opened the door. Vail nodded. she put her arm in his and the two made there way to the main hall.
"Vail, dear you look dazzling." her mother said.
"Thank you mother." she said bowing.
"I think you and your father should go out and have some fun well I finish the preparations." her Mother suggested. Vails father looked at her. His eyes glowing with excitement.
"Can Alex come?" Vail asked.
Just then he came. dragging in a wounded guard. "Enemy on the south!" he shouted. Father grabbed Alex and Vail and took them to a secret passege.
"Take this and then turn right the keep going straight till you see light." her father commanded.
"What about you!" she cried.
Her father looked at her older brother. Alex nodded and tossed Vail over his shoulders. Vail shouted at him to put her down. she tried to get back to her father.
Her father waved, tears rolling down his eyes. and he shut the door.

"Lets take a break here." he said. Vail nodded and sat down.
Alex stared down at the way they came and sighed.
"will they be okay Alex?" Vail asked with tears in her eyes. Alex wrapped his arms around his sister.
"of course!" he lied.
