An Amour Christmas
Serena decided to visit Ash for christmas with her mother grace. She hasn't seen him since their goodbye about 6 months ago. It was all going as expected. They were having fun, eating and drinking and just enjoying the festivities in their small round.
Grace and Delia had some catching up to do but now they had a typical comversation between 2 mothers going, while mister mime was busy washing the dishes.
Meanwhile Ash and Serena went for a walk outside. With Pikachu staying behind to play with Serenas Sylveon and the absence of Bonny and Clemont it was unusually quiet between the pair. But they didn't mind the silence and appreciated each others presence which they couldn't for quite some time.
Their feet made imprints on the ground, which was covered by a thin layer of snow and as the lanterns turned on and illuminated the dim streets in this Kanto evening it started to look more and more like a scene from a movie.
After a few more minutes it started snowing again but it wasn't a terrible snowfall. It was a light fall of small icy crystals that set the mood even more. It did start to get colder though and the young girl started shivering and hugging herself to try and warm herself.
The boy beside her noticed it however and put his arm on her shoulder and pulled her into a side hug as they continued walking towards a seemingly unknown destination. Ash however seemed to know where he was going since he took a few turns here and there without second thought.
A little while later it was completely dark and they seem to have reached their goal as Ash stopped under a tree on top of a small hill. To Serenas dismay he released her from his grasp but quickly put both of her hands into his as he looked into her blue eyes that were shimmering thanks to a lantern nearby, with its light barely reaching the couple.
Ash then turned his gaze towards his left in a manner that signaled Serena to do the same. As she turned to her right her eyes shot wide open at the sight before her.
They had a beautiful view at the Kanto skyline, with all the small houses covered in white snow and the bright christmas decorations aswell as the usual lighting in the houses. Coupled with the slow snowfall and the presence of her loved one the young woman had to fight back her tears.
She was expecting a little visit and a fun time but what she got was the cutest gesture she's ever gotten in her live. She wanted to say something as the young man put his finger on her lipps to stop her from talking. With a bright smile that could light the dark of this night by itself he gestured her to look upwards and as she did she saw on the lowest branch of the tree a little mistletoe.
As she looked back at Ash his brown eyes were already awaiting her gaze, his smile still lingering on his face. She then released her hands from his, hugged him and pulled him into a long awaited kiss, crystaline tears on her cheeks for this was the happiest moment of her life.
Even Ash, who planned this out so perfectly seemed taken aback by her rash reaction but quickly regained his composure, putting his arms around her and returning the kiss he's been waiting patiently for.
After a minute they pulled back and looked at each other for a while. Ash noticed a single tear left on her cheek and wiped it away with his thumb, leaving his hand on her cheek afterwards. Then he slowly pulled her head towards his to make their foreheads touch and after a few seconds releasing them.
'Let's go back', he said with a calm but happy voice as he extended his hand towards Serena. The girl took his hand with a nod and together they walked back home, hand in hand, the snow trying to engulf them once again.
