Set after the Hero Licensing Exams. (Izuku has his license)
If you're wondering why this story is titled "Another Outcast", let me explain. So basically Izuku is leaving UA, and cutting off all content with his peers. (Besides Ochaco, the reason why is revealed later) Therefore, he lives off the streets and pretty much avoids the media and the majority of people. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me.
Izuku looked at UA with sadness in his heart. He was currently atop a tall building, his cloak swaying in the wind. From his vantage point, he could see the small specs running around the training yard.
He took out his pair of binoculars and gazed into them, his vision getting magnified by the device. He saw his old classmates running around the field, supposedly doing some sort of physical activity. Izuku felt a tear fall down his face as he noticed Ochaco, who was sitting on a bench and talking to Mr. Aizawa.
"Presumably about my departure." Izuku said to himself. He had left all his classmates notes that explained why he was leaving, but he made a special one for Ochaco. The specialized note told Ochaco a more in-depth reason, and it also had Izuku's new phone number. After all, Ochaco was the first person at UA that was nice to Izuku, and he trusted her.
Izuku removed the binoculars from his eyes and slowly got up, brushing some dust off his pants. He quickly clipped his short cape in place, a piece of fabric that came down to his waist. Izuku stood out like a sore thumb abong the rooftop, especially with his all-black clothing and dark green cape. To some, he might have looked like a villain. Izuku, honestly didn't care.
As long as he could be a hero without having to risk the lives of his ex-classmates, he was happy.
Izuku took a deep breath and lept off, using One for All to soften his fall. He landed on the pavement with a soft grunt, green energy cracking around his legs.
He glanced back at UA, then sprinted away.
Izuku had a plan, and the first step was to go to Hose, where Gran Torino is. He had written each of his classmates a note explaining his departure, but he left something special in Ochaco's. He had left his new phone number, along with instructions to not tell anybody. Before he left, Izuku had also told All Might.
There was lots of crying, but All Might knew he couldn't stop Izuku. The last time Izuku had seen his mentor was the day before, and that conversation kept replaying in the ex-student's mind.
"It's just a part of my guilt." Izuku muttered to himself. "This is the proper way forward, and I'm not going to relent."
He paid for a bus ticket then left for Hosu, all the while with his cape covering his face. The only thing he could be recognised now was by his Hero License, hair and face. Luckily, his hood and cloak hid it all, and his license was in his pocket.
Izuku had considered throwing away the piece of identification, but it felt like a part of him. He had worked so hard for it, after all.
Suddenly, Izuku's phone rang. He quickly took it out, then answered the call.
"Izuku?" It was Ochaco, one of the two people with this number. Izuku's heart soared in happiness, and he quickly replied.
"Hey, Ochaco." He didn't know what to say, so he just spoke his heart. "Listen, I'm really sorry that I left. I just...I just figured it was the right step forward."
Ochaco replied after a few seconds. "I get it, but please...don't leave me in the dust. I really want to talk to you, and this is the only way."
Izuku nodded. "I know, but I think I might be able to visit you. In person." He amended. "I'm pretty sure I might be able to see you, maybe once a month."
"What are you doing anyway?!" Ochaco yelled into her phone. "You didn't say anything!"
Izuku paused for a moment, gathered his thoughts, then replied; "I'm planning on training with Gran Torino, if he lets me train with him. If not, I'll take down villains and try to stop the league themself."
"The entire league?" Ochaco exclaimed. "That's suicide!"
"I just..I just need to keep Japan safe." Izuku said. "I think taking down the league will be my ultimate goal, but I don't know when I'll do it."
"I'll talk to you later," She stated. "Class is starting. Have a good trip!"
The phone went silent.
Izuku sighed and looked out the window, putting his phone away in his pocket. The nearby terrain passed by quickly, and no notable landmarks passed by.
Izuku was suddenly hit with a possible reality. What if Gran Torino didn't accept Izuku's request to be trained?
The hero already trained him during the internships, and he lost his teaching license for six months after the Hosu incident. I wonder how many memories I'll get from seeing Hosu again, he thought. Even if Gran doesn't accept me, I'm sure there will be some crime for me to fight.
The bus rumbled to a stop and a few passengers got off, leaving only Izuku and another person in the bus.
After the bus arrived in Hosu, Izuku stepped off. He took in a deep breath of air, then sat down at one of the benches. Hearing some noise from a nearby TV, Izuku turned around. It was the news, no surprise.
"-Has broken out of prison, where he was held in high security." The news reporter announced. A picture of Stain showed on the screen, and then security footage of the hero killer himself escaping jail filled the screen. "The police are on high alert, but stay careful. Hero Killer Stain is now out of jail, and my honest guess…" There was a loud scream and the mic went silent. Then, a raspy voice started to speak out of the speakers. "Izuku Midoriya...I'm coming for you…"
And that is the end of the first chapter. This will be a series, so follow the story if you want to be notified when this story updates. If you want to, leave a review on your thoughts with the story.
This chapter was also shorter than my goal for the other chapters, so expect later chapters to be longer.
