Andromeda is bidding goodbye to Harry and Ginny, who have come to drop Teddy after spending the weekend at the Burrow. Andromeda is making sure that the two of them would visit her soon for tea. It is then her eyes sees a figure making her way towards her home. She knows that figure very well.

"Cissy," she murmurs in disbelief. Harry and Ginny tense up after hearing the name. Harry warily keeps glancing at Andromeda as if he is silently asking if he should stay behind instead. Neither of them looks at Narcissa even once.

"Andy," Narcissa acknowledges her sister once she joins the trio at the front door. She does not know how to greet the couple present there. The history between them is too awkward.

"It will be alright. You should go now," Andromeda assures the couple that it would be alright for them to leave her alone with her sister.

"We will see you on Tuesday then," Ginny acknowledges Andromeda's silent reassurance. She grabs Harry and disapparates from there before he has a chance to protest.

"Would you like to come in?" Andromeda asks Narcissa awkwardly. It has been over thirty years since she last saw her sister. She doesn't know what to make of her appearance yet.

"I was hoping you would ask me that," Narcissa gives Andromeda an unsure smile. She is fully aware of the thoughts that must be going on in her older sister's mind.

Within a few minutes, they have settled down with tea. "I am sorry about Ted, Nymphadora and Remus," Narcissa breaks the awkward silence that has settled between them.

"Why are you here, Cissy?" Andromeda comes straight to the point. She doesn't need fake sympathy coming from Narcissa.

"I am here to get my sister back," Narcissa replies quietly. She is unable to make eye contact with her sister. She is aware that she is perhaps too late to make amends.

"Why? Why now?" Andromeda asks in disbelief. She can't believe that her younger sister is at her home asking for a second chance after ignoring all her advances for years.

"I know you won't believe me, but I always wanted to reply to your letters and meet you. I did not, and that is on me. I was too scared to take a step towards you. Not anymore. The last few years have made me reevaluate what is important in my life, and Andy, you are important to me," Narcissa explains, not expecting her sister to understand.

"You are right. I don't understand," Andromeda stiffly replies. She is getting angry at the thought of Narcissa being here after all these years. Her younger sister has caused her a lot of pain with her silence for the past thirty years.

"I know you are angry. You have every right to be. I am here now even if it's thirty years too late," Narcissa quietly replies. She does not want to disrespect Andromeda's anger.

"I needed you. I needed my sister to support me. I know Bella won't be the one I turn towards after knowing her views. I had high hope from you. I thought that at least my younger sister won't treat me any differently for marrying a muggle-born. I taught you better, Cissy. Why did you abandon me?" Andromeda demands from Narcissa.

"I was scared. Mother, Father and Bella all told me how people like Ted didn't belong in our world. They told me that they deserved to die. I didn't know what to think despite you telling me otherwise. I saw what they did to you before you elope. I was scared that they would have done the same thing to me. I have been a coward to side with them over you. Sirius tried telling me that. I never listened to him either. It pained me how he and Uncle Alphard had your back, and I didn't. I can't tell you how sorry I am about it," Narcissa explains everything that made her decide not to support their marriage.

"I would have protected you," Andromeda firmly says. This time it's Narcissa who looks at Andromeda in disbelief. "It's true. Ted and I would have taken you at the moment they even tried doing that to you," she declares like it wasn't even a question that she would have been there for her.

Narcissa looks down in shame because she knows that Andy is right. Andy won't have left her alone. 'I read every letter you sent me," she admits.

"That's good to know," Andromeda replied flatly. At least her letters aren't entirely wasted like she expected them to be.

"I kept the gift you sent for Draco. I never told Lucius that the dragon was from you. I knew he would have burned it," Narcissa let Andromeda know that her efforts to keep in touch weren't a complete waste. She wants her sister to believe that she appreciated it. Narcissa was wrong to never reply to them. "I sent a gift for Nymphadora too," she added before she could stop herself.

Andromeda looks at Narcissa for a moment trying to remember if she has ever received anything from her. She has never received a package from her. Then she remembers a package she received a month after Dora was born. It did not have a name on it, only a congratulation message.

"That blanket was from you," Andromeda says. Narcissa nods her head in agreement.

Andromeda doesn't know what to think right now. She wants her sister back in her life. Andromeda is still scared. Even if she knows the reasons now, it does not change anything. Narcissa still did what Narcissa did. It doesn't erase everything that it made her feel in the past thirty years. She also has to think about Teddy and what it would mean for him.

"Does Lucius know that you are here?" she asks Narcissa.

"I made it clear to him that I am going to be your sister whether he likes it or not," Narcissa replies.

"He and Draco are okay with it?" Andromeda questions again.

"The war has made them do some thinking too. Lucius and Draco need to change now. It doesn't matter what they think. I want you back, Andy. I am ready to do anything to gain your trust again," Narcissa replies. She has already made her choice. She would do anything to get her sister back.

"I am going, to be honest with you. I am not sure whether I want you back in my life or not," Andromeda says. It breaks Narcissa hearts. "But I am willing to give you another chance. You will have to try hard," she adds.

Narcissa feels her heart is about to leap out of her chest. Is it so easy to get another chance? She can't believe her ears.

"I will. I won't disappoint you again. Thank you so much, Andy. You don't know what this means for me," Narcissa is thankful.

"I hope so too, Cissy," Andromeda replies.
