"It was to be her idea," Phoenix thought while adjusting his tie. He hated the idea of anyone peeping into his romantic life, especially Maya. Of course, she wouldn't listen to him and decided to peep into, whenever he likes it or not.

To summarize his situation, Phoenix Wright after the Hazakura Temple Incident decided to visit Iris at the Detention Center every single day. After a week Maya asked if Phoenix still feeling something towards the nun. To the medium surprise and for Pearl's amusement the answer was no. Phoenix confessed he stills liking Iris, but not in a romantic way anymore. Then Maya asked if Phoenix is actually looking for someone and Phoenix was forced to give an answer for his dismay and pain since the little Pearly demanded an answer from him. Once again surprising Maya and now Pearls he simply said no. That was his mistake. If he just dodged the question, but no, he had to answer. Now he was stood in front of a mirror, ready to go on a blind date. That was Maya's idea, and when Maya was something on her mind, he simply can't say no. No matter how much he argued, objected, and even used the trump card of Pearl's feelings, Maya decided it was a good idea for him to go on a blind date, after all, what can go wrong?

After getting ready, he checked for the address. Of all the things Maya had made him do, that was far the worst. Not he was going to complain just to get slapped by Pearl, but he simply could argue against Fey's cousins. If only Mia was there to help him. Maybe not. Mia would convince him that was an excellent idea. After all, what can go wrong? Going downstairs, he exited the building he lived and called for a taxi. After fifteen minutes of waiting, he finally got a cab and went to the restaurant, when the event was already started.

Everything went wrong. Phoenix was expecting that, but nothing like what that night reserved for him. Not only he got rejected by most of the women, but the few he talked to were also more interested in talking about his childhood friend Miles Edgeworth, the former Demon Prosecutor. He hated that night with all his strength and everything was going worse when he saw the old Wendy Oldbag. When she found him, he was insulted in all the ways she could figure out, much for his dismay and for the little fragment of respect that had died that night.

He hated Maya's idea. Of course, when she has an idea, she immediately calls him to aid her or to do something for her, and in all her ideas she involves him couldn't end well for him and he has done to take them so easily.

"Tomorrow I'll have a good talk with her." He sighed tiredly as he looks his wristwatch to check the time. "Maybe I should try once more. If don't go well I'll call a night and go back home."

Determined to call a night and go home, Phoenix looked at the place with a lack of interest. Of course, he could go back home, but Maya will bother him the next day asking why he hasn't tried one more time, and she'll call him an old man who prefers to stay alone the rest of his life in the company of many cats (which is quite the stereotype he hates to be labeled by her, but he'll never admit to her.) and without any friends (which doesn't make sense, since he has a lot of friends.).

Tired and with a down mood, he went to the bar and took a cup of Jack Daniel's whiskey, one of his favorite blends of alcoholic drinks, and wandered around, looking for a woman to talk to. It was at that moment he saw a lone woman sat at a distant table at the corner and he decided to talk with her. Walking in her direction, he noticed most of the men went in her direction, but in the last instant gave up and he couldn't tell why until he saw her more carefully. She's a stunningly gorgeous woman, with long platinum hair and dressing a black provoking dress that attenuates her splendorous, yet gentle curves. Her fierce reddish-brown eyes glanced with melancholy the glass of wine and her red glossy lips were curved down, as she also doesn't want to be here.

Even stunned and intimated by the vision, Phoenix went forward and stood in front of her. He waited patiently for her to notice him.

-Do you need something? — She asked, finally noticing him.

-I noticed you are alone and I thought if you want some company to drink.

-Can't you see I want to be alone? — She asked rudely. Phoenix, however, didn't flinch and answered:

-Yes, I noticed but I do believe you don't want to be here as well. So, you don't care if I made you company, right?

She analyzed him for a brief moment before answer.

-No, you can make it to me company.

Phoenix smiled gently at her and sit in front of her, holding his glass of whiskey. She glanced back at her glass and asked:

-So, do you don't want to be here as well?

-No. My friend forced me.

-I see…

A brief silence fell over them. She toyed with the glass with her index finger, running over the mouth of the glass as Phoenix simply admired her. He never saw someone so gorgeous as the woman in front of him. Of course, he thought of Maya, Iris, and even Franziska, but none of them were like the woman he was looking for now. None of them were so elegant like her. Admired, he couldn't help himself to watch her.

-Is something wrong with me? — She asked.

Snapping back to reality he shook his head in negative.

-No, is just I was admiring you. I never saw someone gorgeous as you.

If the woman blushed, he couldn't say, but she gave a small smirk.

-My, my, such a gentleman. — She said before taking a sip of her wine.

-I just stated the obvious. But you need to give me some credit.

-For the compliment? — She asked as she rose one of her eyebrows.

-For compliment you personally. At least I had the courage to say that personally.

She glanced at him for the first time after he sat and analyzed Phoenix again. She looked at his spiked hairstyle, his clothes and then put her glass of wine on the table.

-Do you know all the men I met today said the same thing, right?

-If anyone has sat with you. All of them are at a certain distance, without any idea of how to approach you.

She glanced at him again.

-I need to admit you have a point. None of them come to me to talk. Honestly, you are the first who had the courage to do that. I need to at least concede that point to that.

Phoenix lift his glass and cheered.

-Well, for my bravery, Ms.…?

-Niijima. Sae Niijima, Mr.…?

-Wright. Phoenix Wright. For my bravely

-For your bravery.

Both cheered and took another sip of their drinks.

-So, what's the real reason you're here? I don't believe you are here by your own free will.

-You are absolutely right… — Phoenix said with a sigh. — My friend forced me to come here to have a blind date. Needlessly to say the night doesn't go well to me.

-I don't believe so.

-Well, I can say that because most of the women here ignored me. And the ones who don't ignore me were more interested in talking about another friend of mine.

-Who's your friend?

Phoenix almost sighed in annoyance, but taking another sip of his whiskey, he simply answered.

-Prosecutor Edgeworth. You probably heard about him.

-Yes, the former Demon Prosecutor. He's quite the legend. But now I remember you. You were the one who defeated him and his mentor, Manfred von Karma in court, right?

-Yes, that's me. But it seems that doesn't make me win any points with the women I talked to.

To his surprise, she giggled.

-Well, maybe they don't seem the virtues of you.

Phoenix smiled at Sae.

-Perhaps you're right, but I do believe is because they found me not that attractive as him.

-Why do you say that?

Phoenix sighed.

-I need to admit he's dapper than me, one of the advantages of being a prosecutor, I guess. And people looked at me weird because of my hairstyle.

-I see… — She said glancing at his hair. — Don't get me wrong but I don't see any problems with your hairstyle, no matter how odd is it.

-Thank… you?

She giggled again.

-Don't be like that. In a matter, I think that attractive.

Phoenix blushed and looked away.

-Thanks… I mean, I don't hear a lot of compliments from women.

-Really? You truly are handsome. I don't see anything wrong with you.

Phoenix sighed.

-I wish you're right. I mean, people look at me weird sometimes.

-I guess they the problem then.

Phoenix laughed.

-Maybe you're too kind.

Then Sae blushed and she drank the rest of her wine.

-Sorry. I'm not habituated to hear compliments. Especially from earnest persons.

-What made you think I'm earnest? — He asked with one of his eyebrows rose.

-Well, the way you react. Is kind of cute.

-C-Cute!?

Now it was Phoenix who drank the rest of his drink and stared at Sae with incredulity, which made her laugh.

-Yes, cute. Cute and handsome. A rare combination.

He averted his stare in embarrassment and amusement and said:

-You are cute too.

She blushed again but smiled at him.

-Well, Mr. Wright, or can I call you Phoenix?

-Call me Nick.

-Okay, Nick. Call me Sae.

The conversation went well and both laughed and had fun. Then Phoenix made the company to Sae all the way to her hotel, when she was extremely grateful.

-It was a good talk.

-An excellent talk. I never had so much fun with someone. Thank you, Sae.

-You're welcome, Nick. — She looked at the wristwatch. — Is getting too late. You better go now.

Phoenix looked at her and in a brief moment of trance and courage due to the alcohol, he approached his face to hers and kissed her lips gently. Sae was surprised, but she reciprocated the kiss. Realizing what he had done he pulled back.

-Sae, I…

But before he could explain, she kissed him and he knew at this moment she wanted to. After that, she looked at him.

-You can spend the night with me if you want to.

Phoenix could only smile at her.

-Gladly.

Sae holds his hand and took him to her room. Phoenix knew that'll be a long night.

-Weird, Nick doesn't take too long to arrive at the office… — Maya said, staring at the clock.

-Maybe you shouldn't drag him into a blind date Mystic Maya. — Pearl replied, glancing at the clock as well.

-I do believe of all your ideas Maya, that was the worst. — Miles commented checking the time as well. — I don't believe Wright is making me wait for him for so long…

-Of all you could have done to Phoenix Wright, Maya Fey, that was the most humiliating one. — Franziska said.

-Oh, give me a break. Or is that, or he'll be the lone man of cats.

-You mean the man of plants. — Larry corrected.

-You understood, didn't you? So shut up.

-Ouch, Maya… — Larry said crying.

Miles sighed annoyed.

-I do hope Wright has a good reason for showing so late to his own office. Not only I had to deal with him, but also, I have to deal with the international prosecutor which for some reason forgot to deliver the files of a case related to the case I am prosecuting.

-Who's him?

-Is her. Her name is Sae Niijima, she's from Japan.

-I'd like to see her reaction when she saw you angry.

Then the door of the office opened and to the surprise of everyone there, Phoenix came with Sae, pecking her lips.

-Hi everyone. I want to present my girlfriend Sae Niijima. She's a prosecutor from Japan.
