Season: So... I started this little one shot back in *checks record* July 2015? I left it to rust, wrote a bit more on August 2019 and didn't look back at it until today. Part of me didn't want this to see the light mostly because I thought it wasn't good enough BUT I also feel that Yang Ming deserves more love and for some reason I can write him easier than I can Feng Lan? Weird I know. So here you go. Enjoy Yang Ming being a mess in this short one-shot. We love you Yang Ming. Never change. And now i go back to my hiatus of 1/2 Prince fanfics. COUGH.

Yang Ming's Supermarket Adventure?
by: Season Of Magic
{~}
As Feng Yang Ming entered the supermarket, he tilted his head in a confused manner and glanced around from left to right. He knew nothing about grocery shopping, and he was sure his sister knew that as well. She also more than likely knew as well as he did that he couldn't be trusted with Yuans, let alone using them to buy what was deemed proper food.
She did know he wasted the little allowance he got by buying snacks, right?
She clearly knew that about him. So why had she sent him off with a list, the money and a glare that said hurry up or else to buy things they needed for dinner tomorrow?
With a reluctant sigh the younger twin took a glance at the list and memorizing the first three things Feng Lan had written down grabbed a basket and set off on his quest. Coffee. Fish. Stir Fry Sauce. Seemed easy to get.
But UH.
... Where was the fish aisle again?
Why couldn't supermarkets be like malls and have everything already mapped out for you? He wondered as he went to aisle one.
According to him, it was better to go through each one individually and figure out what they had than to go around blindly. Of course, being who he was, he never noticed that underneath the number, the aisles also had the type of food they carried. But he had been so focused on the first things he needed that he had been oblivious to everything else.
To the surprise and happiness of Yang Ming; aisle one was full of chips and cookies. To him this was heaven. He grabbed the ones that were his favorites and threw them to the basket with glee then hopped off to the next row.
By the time he got to aisle two, the coffee section, his basket was already full of cookies and chips.
Coffee was the first thing on the list right? I mean what college student doesn't have coffee in their house? With that in mind, he also placed the instant coffee into the basket and wheeled it off to the third aisle.
He felt he was forgetting something but by the time he got to aisle three, he was shrugging it off as he went and grabbed some his dismay the basket was already full. With a shrug he simply went and grabbed a bigger basket back at the entrance and shoved everything to the new one.
He wheeled the new one back to aisle three but went past it when he spotted soda.
Yang Ming scratched at his head. Did they need soda? He wouldn't mind it of course but he felt Feng Lan would probably yell at him about it. Eh. He'll deal with that later.
Aisle four was the bakery section and the basket was filled with veríais amount of sweet treats and the baked goods. Xiao Lan won't yell at him for that. Who didn't like these things?
Aisle five had some juices and he placed some in the basket then moved on to the chips and dips, throwing them in as well.
By the time Yang Ming got to the meat, poultry and fish section he had already forgotten what his sister had written down for him. It was safe to admit that he had even lost the list. So of course, he skipped the aisle and ran off to find a warmer area. The cold does bother him. Thank you very much.
So of course he also skipped the frozen food section and went to checkout.
An hour later Yang Ming was back home. The trip home had been possibly even mote eventful than the supermarket. First he had been distracted by seeing the feed of the concert on the big screens above the mall. That alone lett him ten minutes looking up. Then he saw a ice cream truck and of course he had to stop to get some. Then he found a place doing a sort of raffle so he entered it. He didn't win.
By the time he unlocked the door bags in hand he was exhausted. He shook it off and smiling proudly he called out; "Tranny Sister™ I'm back!"
Feng Lan who had been working around the house the entire tome he was gone and was currently wiping the dinne table could only sigh. "Stop calling me that and go put the fish in some water to rinse so I can marinate it later."
Yang Ming blinked. "... Fish?"
Feng Lan glanced back, raising the rag she was wiping the table with. "Yeah. The fish. You know, the ocean friend we will have for dinner tomorrow?"
"I know what a fish is!" Yang Ming huffed. "... I just. Maynothaveboughtit."
"Come again?" Feng Lan asked her brother.
"Imayhaveforgottenthefish..." He mumbled again.
"You didn't buy the...!" Feng Lan was gaping at him. "Ok so you probably just didn't want fish for dinner. What did you get then?" She was clearly trying to not lose her temper but it was almost impossible not to.
"What can you make with chips, a dip, various cookies, baked goods and coffee? Oh there are some soda and juice as well."
Feng Lan lost it and threw the rag at her brother. "You can't even do ONE thing I ask!?"
Yang Ming managed to dodge in time. "You said bring food. This is food."
"That is not stuff for a proper meal. You only bought junk food!" She shook her head. "Men. Honestly. If you want something done right you have to do it yourself."
Yang Ming. "I tried."
"That was half of our grocery expense for the week and you wasted it on useless things."
"Maybe you shouldn't have expected so much from me. Or given me that much money to spend in the first place."
Feng Lan sighed. "There's still the leftovers from last night that we can eat today and I guess I can go after school tomorrow to get the rest of what we need with what I have saved up. I can say I was partially expecting this hence ehy i didn't give you the entiee thing. But we had run out of coffee so I suppose you did something right."
Yang Ming puffed his chest. "Huhu I did well. Feel free to praise me."
Feng Lan stared. "Praise you?"
He's joking right?
"No need to be shy sis."
"Your praise will be no dinner tonight."
"PLEASE SPARE ME."
