INTRO:
W: Fire. A primordial element of life itself. It can destroy everything in its wake, leaving nothing but cinders and ash behind it.
B: Just like giant monsters! So why not combine the two for a heated head-to-head?
W: Hot Head, the ancient Fire Giant Skylander.
B: And Magmo, the burning behemoth from War of the Monsters. He's Wiz and I'm Boomstick.
W: And it's our job to analyze their weapons, armor, and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle!
HOT HEAD:
(Main Theme - Skylanders Giants)
W: 10,000 years ago in the magical land of Skylands, there existed a powerful robotic empire called the Arkeyans. They had just discovered the element of Tech, and by combining it with Magic, they were able to gain incredible power.
B: And they literally ruled with an iron fist, which could control all the Arkeyans, especially the giant robots!
W: With the Portal Masters of that time being too elderly to fight, they instead recruited eight of the most powerful and gigantic beings around. These Elder Elementals, better known as Giants, would become the very first Skylanders. And none among them were as hot-tempered as Hot Head.
B: Damn! This guy's like Fire Man and Oil Man rolled into one! As a vast towering Fire Golem, this 199,999 year old volcanic kaiju can lay waste to everything in his path! He can literally set fire to the rain thanks to his Fire Rasengan-style Sizzle Shower, can create his very own Spirit Bomb with Hot with a Chance of Meteors, shoot Flamefire Bursts, launch out flammable Oil Blobs, which can even come to LIFE at some parts as fossilized monsters, spew out endless fire and monologuing with Eternal Flame, and he can even turn into a Hot Rod like Robotech's Cyclone motorcycle. And he doesn't need to be a robot to do that! He's even got some sweet dragon and squid armor, as well as some exhaust pipes! And as a Giant, he's strong enough to throw massive boulders, crush rocks and create gaps when jumping onto them, easily stomp on baddies, destroy walks just by walking through them, lift up massive logs, and even pull entire islands! He's also immensely durable, as not even Tech Geargolem nut-and-bolt bullets can faze him! Classic giant monster trope.
W: Hot Head is greatly impetuous. He just can't help himself because he is burning with enthusiasm. He got his oil-based powers when, in an attempt to cool off, he dove into the very first magical oil pool, which caused the island it was on to explode. Even though most of the oil vaporized and it would be another 2,000 years until it was discovered again, some of it fused with Hot Head and gave him the ability to make an infinite supply of it.
B: And this came in handy when burning those Arkeyans. With his fellow gentle Giants, aside from helping them cut down on their heat bills (which they apparently STILL had in the ancient times), Hot Head was able to direct his burning anger on the Arkeyans and even helped battle the Arkeyan Robot King, with Tree Rex severing off its hand that had the Iron Fist. But since the king was a sore loser, and kind of a dick, he banished the Giants to our world, where they would remain for 10,000 years. Couldn't they have just destroyed the fist or something?!
W: And in time, the Giants faded away into nothing but stories and legends. That is, until Kaos managed to escape his OWN banishment to Earth and awakened one of the Giants' old foes: The Arkeyan Conquertron.
B: Conquertron mostly served those who are evil, and when Kaos got his hands on the fist, he'd control the lost empire and finally conquer Skylands. Luckily, the Giants returned with the help of Portal Masters, even teaming up with new Skylanders! Together they managed to kick the asses of pirates, dark elves, an old guy in a chompy suit, ghost pirates, and even Kaos as a giant robot.
Popup: The Iron Fist of Arkus apparently has a mind of its own, as it could transform any organic being that wielded the fist into a robotic and massive Arkeyan. However, when seeing that Kaos was not worthy of wielding its power upon his defeat, it turned him back and ran away.
W: However, Hot Head does have some weaknesses. He may be an excellent cook, and can easily best Air and Undead Elementals, but his fire can easily be extinguished by Water and Tech Elementals. And he also has a deep fear of freezing over. Which...also makes sense.
B: But when the going gets tough, Hot Head can transform into his Obsidian Form, where he can use even more powerful attacks like the Infinite Flame Torch, Mad Energy, Melt Down, Temperature Tantrum, Feel My Pain, and even his Special Ability, Boiling Over. He can also equip a powerful Mood Ring to boost his power if he's damaged, and he can create the Fury's Forge to grant him extra power, but also damage him.
W: But no matter the evil ahead of him, you can bet that Hot Head will leap into action and defend the new Skylands from any threat it has to offer. After all, he's not leaving it again anytime soon.
(Hot Head is summoned)
Hot Head: Hey! I'm On Fire!
B: Yeah, duh. Maybe you should change your catchphrase to "AAAARGH, HELP! SOMEONE FIND A HOSE, QUICK!".
W: Yeah, that won't roll off the tongue.
MAGMO:
(Menu Theme - War Of The Monsters)
W: In the 1950s, mankind was facing a new threat. One that could destroy the very planet.
B: Flying saucers! So, to counter this alien menace, the world came together and built massive EMPS to zap the bastards and make them crash-land on Earth. Stop running, people! You're already saved! Oh wait, they're not. Because PLOT TWIST! The saucers were powered by a radioactive fuel that mutated various beings into...GIANT MONSTERS!
(Togera's foot comes down on a newspaper article and we hear it roar.)
W: And one of those saucers happened to crash-land in an active volcano near the Hawaiian islands. This caused the lava within to mutate into the destructive force of nature that is...Magmo.
(Magmo lets out a bellowing roar)
(Club Caldera / Volcano - War Of The Monsters)
B: Magmo's like Four Arms, but massive and berserk. Or at least a giant version of Slam Bam with a reversed element. Either way, this 110 foot tall living magma is the biggest monster of the bunch. And he packs one hell of a punch. He's highly durable, but he's also pretty slow. Duh.
W: Magmo has a great control of pyrokinesis. He can make lava fall from the sky, smash his target with lava bombs, bounce the victim around like a ping-pong ball, cause massive eruptions, and even shoot homing fireballs from his mouth.
B: And yet, he's still damaged by fire. WHAT THE HELL?!
W: Magmo is also the forgotten Polynesian god of destruction, and seeks to scorch the very Earth. However, only one monster is capable of stopping him: The massive stone golem known as Agamo.
B: Yeah, even though molten lava can basically melt rock, Agamo's also had some of that alien fuel stuff and could easily pummel his pyroclastic ass. But since he only protects Hawaii and its people, that means he is basically useless when Magmo attacks OTHER countries. Nice going to contribute to your country!
W: Oh, don't worry. Magmo's had his fair share of OTHER giant monsters.
B: Oh yeah! He's battled the electric Kineticlops, the giant Goosebumps mantis, King Kong with supersonic roars, Godzilla with Baraka blades, robots, a giant plant monster, aliens, and even DRAGONS!
Popup: It is unknown how dragons like Raptros play a key role in the game, but it is said that they are from ancient times.
W: And when channeling the element's primordial rage, Magmo can transform into his Eruption form, which gives all of his fire attacks a powerful boost.
B: And that's WAY better than when he's a steampunk furnace. What is he supposed to do? Blast hot steam onto his foes?! I know that will work, but his rival's made of stone! The steam's not gonna work on living statues!
W: Nonetheless, Magmo remains a destructive and raging force. And he absolutely WILL not stop until ALL of the planet, and all of his enemies, are nothing but ash.
(As Agamo falls in Club Caldera, Magmo roars and flexes his four arms)
THE FIGHT:
W: Alright, the combatants are set! And we've run the data through all possibilities! Let's end this debate once and for all!
B: It's time for a DEATH BATTLLLEEEEE!
…
A massive eruption rocks the hellish landscape within the Fire Realm. From a massive volcano, Magmo emerges and unleashes a powerful roar. As he begins to lay waste to the Fire Realm, squashing an Enfuego Chompy under his foot, Magmo sees a massive meteor headed for him. In retaliation, he blasts it apart with his fireball, only for a massive figure to slam into him. After Magmo recovers, Hot Head transforms back and readies himself to face this dark threat.
Hot Head: Alright, you Slam Bam wannabe! Let's see how fireproof you REALLY are!
Magmo only roars and begins to charge.
DB Announcer: FIGHT!
Hot Head dodges a punch by moving to the side, then blasts Magmo with oil. At first, it has no effect on him until Hot Head lights it up. Magmo roars in pain and anger, and Hot Head catches another punch.
Hot Head: Don't. Play. With. FIRE!
He blocks the second hand, but Magmo uses his other two to slam the sides of his head and throw him into a massive rock formation. Hot Head gets back up and only smirks.
Hot Head: Alright, then. Looks like the forecast calls for some Sizzle Showers!
Hot Head uses his Sizzle Shower move, and the fiery rain is like annoying bugs to Magmo. Angrily, he summons his own weather, and even ground pounds the ground to trigger an eruption. Dodging this, Hot Head summons fossilized monsters to swarm Magmo, who only pummels and throws them off. However, this buys Hot Head enough time to transform into his Hot Rod and ram Magmo onto the ground, stunning him.
Hot Head then creates a giant meteor with his Hot With A Chance Of Meteors attack, then throws it down at Magmo. Getting back up, Magmo attempts to push it back with his four arms. However, Hot Head throws a massive boulder at him, making him stumble and thus allow the meteor to make an impact. Hot Head simply walks away from the explosion in slo-mo.
Hot Head: Aw yeah. Let's hope Rubble Rouser likes THIS kinda rock as a full-course-.
Suddenly, the meteor's energy is absorbed by Magmo, who uses it to transform into Eruption Magmo, letting out an even stronger roar.
Hot Head: WOAH! Talk about turning up the heat!
Eruption Magmo unleashes a breath attack that launches a stream of lava, which Hot Head manages to dodge. He fires his Eternal Flame attack, but Magmo is unaffected by it.
Hot Head: Okay, so you got a little upgrade. Too bad for you…
He blocks a double-handed punch, but throws Eruption Magmo before he can strike with his other fists. Then, Hot Head channels his elemental Fire energy and transforms into Obsidian Hot Head.
Obsidian Hot Head: I can do that TOO!
He then creates a Fury's Forge with his Flamefire Burst and terraforming the volcanic landscape the fire burns. He then creates a Mood Ring from his oil and puts it on his finger.
Obsidian Hot Head: Besides, I prefer the OTHER lava barfer.
Eruption Magmo only roars and unleashes every attack he has, utterly having them slam into Obsidian Hot Head, who takes the punishment with no resistance. Finally, Eruption Magmo pulverizes the downed Giant with a flurry of punches, and when it seems that Obsidian Hot Head has been knocked out, Eruption Magmo prepares to fire his breath attack.
Suddenly, Obsidian Hot Head unleashes a powerful blast of fire from his hand, which knocks Eruption Magmo back as the Giant gets back up.
Obsidian Hot Head: Thanks for the fuel, pal! Now to unleash the fire that'll burn you out!
Obsidian Hot Head easily lands heavy blows on Eruption Magmo, and when the magma monster punches with its upper arms, Hot Head only grabs them and rips them off, making lava leak from the wounds like blood. Magmo roars in anger as Hot Head grabs him and throws him into an active volcano. Obsidian Hot Head then unleashes all of his oil, which lands on and in the volcano. It catches on fire in contact with the lava, which supercharges the eruption into a fiery pillar. Eruption Magmo lets out one last roar as his body is disintegrated into ash.
And since the supercharged eruption is so powerful, the island it is on explodes, sending Obsidian Hot Head flying onto a second nearby island as he reverts back. He gets back up as he groans.
Hot Head: Man...that was too hot for even ME to handle. Ah, who am I kidding?!
THE AFTERMATH:
(Main Theme - Skylanders Giants)
DB Announcer: KO!
B: Oh man! Talk about an explosive finale!
W: Magmo did have the advantage in brute strength, but he was considerably slower and could still be hurt by fire. And thanks to his extra abilities in his Obsidian form, Hot Head could deal as more damage the more he took.
B: Plus, Hottie's a thinking golem while Magmo is just a force of destruction. While Magmo could basically do what a normal Giant could do, even wield objects as weapons, he was still vulnerable to Hot Head's oil thanks to that goddamn weakness to the very same thing he was born from! You'd think he'd be immune to that, but nooooo!
W: Even IF he was, Hot Head still had more options. His Hot Rod form allowed for a boost in speed, and he had even greater durability. Among the Giants, he also fought Arkeyan War Machines and even their king, all of which were bigger than even THEM! And despite the elemetal disadvantage, Hot Head STILL managed to prevail.
B: But like all technological titans, it looks like Magmo just couldn't handle the gigantic amount of heat.
W: The winner is Hot Head.
