Authors Note - This is a sequel to Gilmore Girls - What Happens After Rorys Famous Last Words. You don't need to read it first, I will still be updating that story if I get any ideas for before the twins are born but for now it's complete. This will be their lives after that probably going to have more time jumps in this one. Thanks for reading in advance
Chapter 1
It had been a week since the twins came home. By now everyone in Stars Hollow had met the twins. Tonight Emily was coming in from Nantucket, they would go to her but the twins made it near impossible to leave the house. Logan put fresh sheets on one of the spare beds they had for guests before heading out to the market for some food as Rory had requested burgers and Steak on a Stick for dinner tonight and they didn't have the required ingredients.
Bing Bong- The Doorbell
"Grandma!" Rory said answering the door and gesturing her inside she had Lia in her arms.
"Hello Rory" she replied walking inside and putting down her bag before giving her a hug "Who's the little tike?" She asked pointing to Lia. At the moment it was hard to tell them apart aside from the different clothing.
"That's Lia, Logan's just changing Richard since he made the face again" Rory said laughing a little
"The face?" Emily was confused
"I forget you haven't actually seen them yet in person, basically whenever Richard needs a new diaper his face goes all contorted it's hilarious and very helpful" Rory said making her way to the study she had something for her Grandma
"Your mother used to do that!" Emily said laughing following Rory. "What are you doing?" She asked her from the doorway
"Aha! Got it!" She said waving a copy of her book
"Is that?" Emily asked eyeing the title
"Yes Moms already got her copy she approved it, Logan's also read it, his company is going to be publishing it they also do books not just newspapers, this is your copy everyone in it is getting an early copy" Rory replied passing it to her grandma
"Thank you Rory" Emily smiled eyeing the book "Gilmore Girls the Early Years"
"Its Childhood to High school" she said "come on this one is heavy" Rory said walking to the living room where she put Lia on the play mat with a few teddy's before sitting down on the couch next to her. She pointed to the opposite couch for her grandma to sit down.
"Ace" Logan called coming down the stairs with Richard "We must remember to wash his Dino again"
"Again!" She responded shocked
"Why?" Emily asked
"He keeps drooling on it making it smell, Hiya Emily"Logan was putting Richard down next to his sister now.
"Hello Logan you look well" she said.
"Thank you however those two think it's funny to wake up at 2-3 in the morning every night" he said pointing at the twins before sighing
"I've volunteered to help" Rory remarked
"Hes not letting you help?" Emily looked confused
"When I go back to work Rorys going to have them all day so I've banned her from the nights for now" He said smiling sweetly Rory. 'God how I love her' he thought to himself somehow though Emily seemed to read his mind
"He's a keeper Rory"
"I know!" she said in a cheery voice
"Are you happy with Burgers and Steak on a Stick Emily?" Logan asked changing the subject
"Steak on a Stick! Wow I've not hear that for a while" She said remembering the time she and Richard had been apart
"Sorry if it brings back memories Grandma I just really wanted it this morning" Rory said softly
"Really is an understatement it was like Lorelai and Luke when she needs coffee"
"It's fine Rory. How bad is she?"
"You will see" As Emily was staying overnight they would be going to the diner in the morning for breakfast. Logan and Rory eat more home cooked meals however they always ate breakfast at the diner
"Indeed, I'm going to start dinner"
"Ooo can I help?" Rory asked she loved making the patties
"I'm sorry a Gilmore is allowed to cook?" Emily said in mock astonishment
"She's surprisingly good at it too" Logan said getting up "Ace" he turned and held his hands out for her then when she was standing they kissed and headed to the kitchen with the twins
"Rory!" Emily said following her
"Sorry grandma. Yes?" She had kind of left Emily in the living room alone
"I have this for you" she said putting a book in Rorys hands "I found it in Richards things not long ago when I could finally read it well" it was a book Richard had created/bought well it was bought but Richard had annotated it and written a lot in it for Rory
"Thank you Grandma" Rory said eyeing the book clearly knowing what it was about "Now let's do dinner" she said putting the book down and placing Richard in the little playpen they had in the kitchen
After that they made dinner which certainly involved a little food fight however they got Emily to join in by throwing a piece of cheese at her. When everything and everyone had cleaned up they ate dinner which was incredible
Rory opened they door to Luke's as the bell jingled. Logan and Emily followed her with Logan and Rory each having a tiny baby in their arms
"Hey guys you want your usual?" Je asked knowing the answer
"Dude surely you know the answer to that by now" Logan said basically saying of course which made Luke smirk and Rory burst out laughing
"Yeah Luke" she said "And make it quick" she added before finding a table
"You may want to view the menu and order at the counter" Logan said to Emily
"Will do" she said and after setting on French Toast she went up to order just after Lorelai came in obviously in a frenzy
"Lucas need coffee now!" She demanded to which Luke just put her mug on the counter and poured
"What did Michel do now?" Luke asked his wife
"Talked to a relative"
"Oh dear!" Luke chuckled to himself
"Hey mom" Rory had stood up and tapped her Mom on the shoulder making her jump which is what Rory wanted so she smiled
"Hey stranger" Lorelai joked
"Sorry they are exhausting." she said emphasising the twins "What did Michel do?"
"Talked to a relative" Luke responded
"Opps"
"Yes opps and now I can't understand a word he says" Lorelai said annoyed
"Think of it this way you can pretend you know what he's saying and make him do silly things" Rory said grinning
"Thank you kid, let's go and join the boys then" she still hadn't notice her mother standing next to her as she sat down at the table when Emily rejoined them
"What did you chose Grandma?"
"French Toast"
"Oh hello Mom I didn't see you"
"I'll say!" Emily chuckled "I'm staying with those two" she said gesturing to the sickly in love pair across from them who were in their own world talking to their children which caused Lorelais little outburst
"Okay you too get a room" she said pointing upstairs and laughing
"We aren't that bad" Logan said innocently
"I beg to differ" Luke said as he brought the orders to the table along with Lorelai's usual
"The one thing you have learned Luke" Rory said seeing him and her mom do their usual thing which caused everyone to laugh
