They're in his dressing room, pressed up against each other. The man had one hand tangled in Nezumi's hair, the other griping his hip as they made out.

Nezumi was sitting on an old table, legs dangling on either side of the man as the older rubbed their hips together.

Their breaths were heavy and hot, Nezumi was still in his dress, hair down; he'd just finished a show and was getting ready to leave when the man came in brandishing three gold coins.

If Nezumi was being honest, he didn't feel like doing this tonight. The show had ran way longer than scheduled and all he wanted to do was go home and take a bath.

Money talks though, and Nezumi couldn't afford to pass up any gold coins, let alone three.

The man bit his bottom lip, eliciting a hiss as Nezumi pressed against him harder, rolling his hips.

"Fuck, Eve-" The man moaned and Nezumi silenced him with his lips again.

"Don't speak, that's not what we're here to do." The actor whispered, turning his head as the man started to kiss down his neck.

He lifted Nezumi's dress, running a hand up one of his thighs as his other pulled tighter on his hair.

The man didn't protest, only moved in closer as he bit down on Nezumi's neck.

The ravenette hummed, reaching up to tangle his fingers in the man's greasy hair and pull as well.

He moaned again, looking down to undo his belt and jeans with one hand as Nezumi hiked his dress up further.

"Would you like me to take it off, or did you want to fuck me with it on?" He whispered, this time running his tongue along the shell of the man's ear.

He moaned again, shivering as he pushed his pants down around his ankles. He ran a hand down Nezumi's chest, over the silky fabric before he tweaked one of his nipples overtop of the dress.

Nezumi arched his back a little, looking the man in the eyes. "Leave it on." The man said and Nezumi smirked.

The man kissed him again, shoving his tongue down his throat.

They sat for a long time, making out and touching each other all over before a small voice filled the room.

"N-Nezumi?" The name trembled as it spilled out of Shion's mouth.

Both boys turned their heads, fast, and Nezumi made it a point to quite literally kick the older man off of him.

"Hey! What the fuck, Eve?" The man grumbled from his place on the ground.

Nezumi very quickly fixed his dress and wiped his mouth as he stood up. "Shion-"

The man cut his eyes at the small boy still standing frozen in the door way. "Look kid, we're kinda busy here. You can wait for your turn outsi-"

Nezumi cut the man off with a kick to the jaw. "Your turns over, come back tomorrow." He spat, making his way over to Shion who looked like he wanted to cry and run away all at the same time.

Nezumi quickly put his coat on as the man started yelling, standing up to try and put his pants back on.

Nezumi went to grab Shion's arm and the younger boy stepped back, keeping his eyes glued to the floor.

Nezumi sighed, closing his eyes for a moment. The man was still yelling, buttoning his pants and buckling his belt before trying to make his way across the room to the two of them.

"Who is this punk?! Who does he think he is barging in here like that? I'll kill-" Nezumi pulled his knife, taking a step in front of Shion as he cut his eyes at the man.

"Shut your filthy mouth. Don't talk about him like that, if you know what's good for you." Nezumi kept his knife brandished as he reached out for Shion, successfully grabbing his arm this time before turning to lead him out of the theater.

Once outside, Nezumi quickly put his knife away while Shion pulled his arm out of his grip and continued to walk.

The younger kept quite a bit of space between them, making a point not to look back at the older.

Nezumi rolled his eyes, grumbling as he sped up to grab Shion's arm again and turn his around. "Hey." He whispered. "Why the hell did you come to the theater? I thought I told you that place was too dangerous for you, especially this late and by yourself."

"Inukashi's dogs brought me, I wasn't alone until I entered the building." Shion said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Nezumi shook his head. "Even the building is dangerous for you by yourself. There's too many fucking weirdos that go there."

Shion just nodded, he wasn't in the mood to argue, not after what he'd witnessed tonight.

Nezumi sighed for the second time and ushered them to start walking again, taking the hint that Shion didn't want to talk right now.

They made it home, Nezumi immediately went to take a bath while Shion made himself comfortable on the couch.

Nezumi got out of his stage clothes as quick as he could before settling himself in the water.

Why the hell did Shion have to show up tonight of all nights? Why hadn't he seen him in the crowd?

Maybe he'd only shown up to walk Nezumi home, but still, he'd told Shion multiple times that he didn't want him anywhere near that stupid theater.

At least now he knew why Nezumi didn't want him there.

The older boy rolled his eyes and began to wash himself, washing away the events from earlier in the night. He didn't want to touch Shion anymore while he still had that man all over him.

He made sure to brush his teeth extra well when he was done with his bath too.

Nezumi got dressed, wrapping his scarf around his shoulders before walking out of the bathroom and down the hall towards the room.

He kept his steps light, hoping not to wake the younger if he'd decided to go to sleep. Nezumi would just move him to the bed and tuck him in.

Shion wasn't asleep though, he was still sitting up on the couch, watching Nezumi's mice as they crawled around the little table in front of him.

The older bit his lip, shuffling a little bit around the room before making his way to one of his bookcases to find a book to read.

He picked one he'd already read before, not necessarily his favorite but still a good one, then walked up behind Shion.

Nezumi draped his arms around the younger's shoulders, leaning down over the couch as he brought his mouth close to the others ear. "This one's called Troilus and Cressida. Come to bed and I'll read it to you." He whispered before pressing a light kiss to Shion's temple.

Shion shook his head lightly. "I don't feel like laying down right now." His words were quiet, borderline shaking, and Nezumi hummed, tightening his arms around the younger.

"One touch of nature makes the whole world kin." Nezumi quoted, kissing Shion's temple again before releasing the boy and going to lay in his bed.

He opened the book and began to read silently, not wanting to disrupt the boy any further.

Nezumi knew he was upset, but it was his own fault. He should have stayed home like he'd told him to.

They stayed silent for a while, the only sound to be heard were Nezumi's page flips as he read.

Ten minutes passed before Nezumi heard a sniffle and he chose to ignore it, turning another page in his book.

Two minutes and he heard another, this time opting to glance over at Shion who was subtly trying to wipe his eyes with the end of his sleeve.

Nezumi hummed lightly, letting his eyes scan the page before reciting. "But you are wise, or else you love not; for to be wise and love exceeds man's might. They say all lovers swear more than they are able."

Shion hiccuped, turning his head to glare at the older still laying in his bed, starring up at his book. "Is that your idea of a joke?"

Nezumi glanced over again, catching sight of Shion's red face and the tear tracks that stained his cheeks, his watery eyes and hurt expression.

Nezumi closed his book and sat up. "No. Just an excerpt."

"Well, I don't want to hear you read to me right now." Shion breathed out, turning his face away from Nezumi again.

He didn't want to hear him speak, he didn't want to have to speak to him. He just wanted to sit here and let these emotions run through him so he could forget about them in the morning.

It seemed Nezumi wasn't having that though, because the next thing Shion knew, the older was standing, leaving the book and making his way over to him.

Shion made a move to stand as well, to walk away, but Nezumi caught him by the wrist, pulling him back as he sat them both down on the couch.

Shion twisted his arm, placing a hand on Nezumi's chest as he pushed him away. "N-No, Nezumi, leave me alone. I-I'm trying to-"

"Shut up, Shion." Nezumi said quietly. Shion stopped his attempts to break free, he knew he wouldn't be able to shake Nezumi if he tried, he'd just hoped the other would let him go soon.

Nezumi sighed, letting go of the boys wrist. "Why did you come to the theater?"

Shion flinched, he didn't want to talk about this. He wanted to let the tears flow and forget about it. He didn't want to explain himself or why he was upset. He just wanted to forget.

The younger shook his head, moving to stand up again. Nezumi grabbed his hand this time. "Where are you going? You're not supposed to be walking around by yourself. There's nowhere in the room for you to go, unless you plan on freezing your ass off in the bathroom."

Shion shook his head, whimpering. "I-I just-" He took a deep breath. "You were late. Really late. I was just worried about you, so I figured I'd go see if your show was finished."

Shion paused, closing his eyes as he bit his lip. "A-And it was. S-So, I asked for the directions to your dressing room, figuring maybe you were tired and we could walk home together. Then I saw you were.. busy. I-I should have left right then, I shouldn't have even called your name, I don't know what I was thinking-"

Nezumi cut him off with a shake of his head. "You weren't supposed to see any of that, Shion."

Shion scoffed, a few more tears betrayed him, escaping his eyes before he could blink them away. "Obviously."

Nezumi sighed, pulling the younger boy closer to him. "Listen, Shion, I've told you time and time again; West Block is a dangerous place. There's little the people won't do here to survive. I am, I have to be, one of those people. I've been doing this kind of thing for a really, really long time. Don't take it personal, those kind of things don't mean anything to me. It's just.. work."

Shion actually chuckled a little bit. "If that's what you do for work then I beg you to quit. You can find other things to do-"

"No, I can't, Shion." Nezumi's voice had grew stern. He'd never wanted Shion to see the side of him he'd walked in on at the theater. "You don't understand, It's one of the only ways I've been able to survive this long out here."

"So you do that every night? That's what you do after work? You sell your body to make a living because the shows you play don't pay you enough?" Shion shot back.

Nezumi cut his eyes at the younger. "No, I don't fucking whore myself out every night, Shion. There's very few jobs out here that pay gold, and acting and playing dress up are not one of them."

Shion flinched at the harsh wording Nezumi had gone with and a few more tears slipped down his cheeks. "Is it worth a few gold coins?"

"Do you want to fucking eat?! Do you want to have enough blankets, enough fucking clothes to wear in the winter when it's so fucking cold in here you can't stand it?!" Nezumi yelled.

"No!" Shion yelled back, catching Nezumi off guard.

Nezumi glared at the younger boy, shaking his head "What do you mean 'no'?"

Shion sniffed. "I mean no. I don't want to eat every night and I'd rather freeze to death than see you ever have to do anything like that again."

Nezumi chuckled a little, humming. "Yeah, we'll see about that when you've gone four days without food in the middle of winter and your so weak you can't stand and it's so cold in this shitty ass room that you can feel it in your bones."

"We can figure something else out." Shion said seriously, this time glaring back at the older boy.

Nezumi hummed. "Let me know when you do."

Shion shook his head. "I just-"

"I didn't do this to make you upset, Shion. I didn't.. cheat on you, or whatever you people call it. I do these things so the both of us can survive." Nezumi spat.

Shion felt his heart clench. "I didn't ask you to." He whispered.

Nezumi turned to look at the boy again, raising his eyebrows. "What?"

"I said, I didn't ask you to. We could have figured something else out if you'd have only talked to me." Shion whispered.

"Those scraps are good deeds past, which are devoured as fast as they are made, forgot as soon as done." Nezumi quoted.

"Words, words, mere words, no matter from the heart." Shion shot back.

Nezumi chuckled again, shaking his head. "That didn't make sense. Why didn't you tell me earlier you'd already read that one? I wouldn't have wasted my time reciting so many lines to you."

"Didn't want to spoil your fun." Shion mumbled.

Nezumi sighed. "I won't do it anymore. We'll figure something else out, but don't start complaining when we have to skip a few meals."

Shion sighed as well, letting himself fall into Nezumi's side. "Thank you."

Nezumi hummed, kissing the top of shion's head. "Yeah." He whispered. "I'm sorry you walked in on that, I'd never wanted you to see me like that."

Shion wrapped his arms around Nezumi's waist, shrugging. "I don't see you any different, maybe I pity you a bit more, but you're still Nezumi."

The older hummed, wrapping his arms around Shion as well. "I don't want your pity."

"I know. I can't help it though. You shouldn't have to do those things." Shion buried his face in the crook of Nezumi's neck.

Nezumi hummed again. "That's just how it is in West Block."

Shion nodded, silent for a moment. "I'm going to fix it. We'll tear down the wall and then I'll fix everything."

Nezumi smiled a little. "Such wishful thinking."
