Dipper felt that his head wasn't in pain anymore and he opened his eyes. He found himself tied to a chair, in the middle of a dimly lit cave. He saw Preston Northwest walking right up to him. What are you doing here? you are supposed to be in prison for child abuse said Dipper. How dumb are you? no prison could hold me forever said Preston. I know what's going on with you and my daughter. She's not your daughter anymore, and there is nothing going on between us said Dipper. You seriously can't realize that i've moved on and starting dating Tambry? Don't give me that crap, you've fantasized dating her if you and Tambry broke up said Preston. That was before I found out she would become my adopted sister said Dipper. I'm not interested in her anymore. Dipper was being honest, he had fully committed to Tambry and moved on from his previous two crushes. Well I know she hasn't gotten over you said Preston. To stop her from getting ideas I need to eliminate you said Preston. He then pulled out a knife and was holding it to Dipper's chest. So you in hell said Preston. Dipper then heard the sound of an oink.
Dipper woke up and felt his head throbbing again. It was all a dream and he was woken up by Waddles. He was back in he and Mabel's bedroom in Piedmont. How you feeling bro bro? asked Mabel. I still feel like something has been beating me over the head said Dipper. Listen Dipper, if you feel like you're in too much pain to go back to Gravity Falls, I won't leave without you said Mabel. I appreciate that, but I'm not doing summer school said Dipper. I'm needed down at the homeless shelter. In reality, Dipper just wanted to see Tambry again.
After the twins and Pacifica were packed, their parents told Dipper to be careful and to not do anything risky while he was recovering from his concussion. As they were waiting for the bus, Dipper clearly saw the look in Pacifica's eyes and knew that she hadn't gotten over her. Dipper still had trouble accepting the fact that she was now his sister. They got on the bus and the pain in Dipper's head began to feel worse. After ten minutes of trying to keep his eyes open, he gave up and fell asleep.
He woke up the same way he did last time, tied up in a cave with Preston Northwest standing there. Dipper then began to get tears in his eyes. Please, if your going to kill me then don't stall it any longer he begged. Oh i'm going to do worse then kill you said Preston. He pointed to another chair and there was Tambry tied up and crying. No please, not my girlfriend said Dipper. Dipper, save me begged Tambry. No please, kill me instead said Dipper. What would be the fun in that? I would rather take pleasure in killing your loved one right in front of you said Preston. He then held the knife to Tambry's chest. The sound of a pig snoring could be heard.
Dipper woke up and felt his head throbbing once again. He once again had a bad dream and was woken up by his sisters pig. Then the bus came to a stop. Gravity Falls, Oregon said the driver. Anybody getting off. They were here, the second summer had just begun. When they got off they saw Wendy and Tambry waiting for them. After the nightmare he just had, Dipper began hugging Tambry and was holding on for dear life. He then began crying into her shirt. Wow, I didn't know my sweetheart missed me that much said Tambry. She then returned the hug and kissed him on the lips for a good five seconds. Dipper and Wendy then swapped hats like they did before last summer ended. However Dipper kindly refused to ever trade in his brown hat with the star on it. He had already lost his lucky hat once, and didn't want to risk that happening again. So when do I work at the homeless shelter? he asked. Every weekend until the end of summer said Tambry. Maybe once you get off we can go out to the movies, just the two of us.
It was difficult walking back to the mystery shack. Dipper could barely move because of his pain, and Mabel had to catch him every time he began to tip over. They were greeted by none other than Soos Ramirez when they got there. Soos took over as owner after Dipper and Mabel's Grunkle Stan went off to travel the world with their Grunkle Ford. Soos had moved out of his Abuelita's house and and was now sleeping in the mystery shack, in the room that used to have a body swapping carpet. The newcomer Pacifica would be sleeping in Grunkle Stan's old room, and Dipper and Mabel would continue to share a bedroom in the attic.
As the sun was going down, the four people who now lived in the shack were about to have pizza for dinner. Things became interesting when Soos was leading them in saying grace. This is what he had to say.

After dinner, Dipper and Mabel were asleep in the attic bedroom, for the first time in over nine months. While Mabel was having pleasant dreams about actually getting a summer romance this year, Dipper had something completely different in mind.
He was once again tied up in a cave, with Preston Northwest laughing at him. Oh great, who is it going to be this time? asked Dipper. I figured I would take away the thing that is the most important thing to you said Preston. Dipper then saw Mabel tied up in a chair and she looked absolutely horrified. NO PLEASE, NOT MABEL, ANYBODY BUT MY PRECIOUS SISTER! shouted Dipper. BRO BRO, DON'T LET HIM HURT ME! shouted Mabel. Dipper could not think of anything in the world that he loved more than his sister. Preston then held the knife right to her throat. This time a stupid pig won't be getting in my may he said. Mabel was crying and shouting DIPPER DIPPER DIPPER!
Dipper wake up. Dipper bolted upright and his concussion pain went right back to him as he put his hand over his birthmark. Dipper what's wrong? you were screaming bloody murder in your sleep, and crying at the same time said Mabel. At that point Dipper completely lost control. He buried his face in his pillow and began bawling his eyes out. He was now having a full on tantrum. Mabel sat down on the bed beside him and began rubbing his back. Feeling his sisters gentle touch, Dipper began to calm down. Do you want to tell me what's wrong? asked Mabel. I've been having nightmares ever since I got out of the hospital said Dipper. Preston Northwest obviously tried to kill me when he threw that rock at me. First he tried to stab me, then Tambry, and then he went after you. The rest of my life would be ruined if you died. I care about you more than anything and I don't want anything bad to happen to you. I feel the same way about you said Mabel. When you started bleeding to death during the baseball game, I was horrified. I genuinely thought that you were going to die and I would be left alone. I was so happy when I found out you would live. Knowing that you'll be okay i'm not upset about it anymore, but you clearly are. I think your suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. You just need to know that we will always be there for each other in here. She then put her hand on Dipper's heart. Dipper sobbed and sniffed before letting out a thanks. When Mabel got back in her own bed she could tell that Dipper never went back to sleep as he was still crying. Dipper got out of his bed, and walked over to Mabel's side of the room. Mabel, I don't want to go through this alone said Dipper. Do you think I can sleep with you tonight? Sure thing bro bro, get in here said Mabel. She scooted over and made room for Dipper to get under the covers. Dipper got in and leaned his head on Mabel's right shoulder. Mabel's right arm wrapped around Dipper. Good night Mabel said Dipper. Night bro bro, I love you said Mabel. I love you too Mabel said Dipper. The twins went to sleep with smiles on their faces, and Dipper had pleasant thoughts for the rest of the night.
Authors note: In real life PTSD can mentally destroy a person. Just remember that no matter what happens, your loved ones will always be there for you. I'm not going to lie, I cried while writing this.
