- Chapter One : Bittersweet -

It hurt, pain was the only way to describe how I felt. Damn it... am I really going to kick the bucket, like this?!

This wasn't how I wanted to go out! I attempt to stretch my arm out, only to be greeted by immense pain.

What happened... that could have caused this..? Oh I remember now.

Que Flashback

Usually, my bad luck gets in the way of everything I do. But not today! I'm finally signing up for a position in a contest.

All and all, I think I'll do pretty well. Many people have complimented my singing before, saying how nice it was.

I grip my application papers, I could tell I was practically vibrating. But that didn't matter! Not anymore!

I had already planned out my outfit for the special day. I walked down stairs with a pip in my step. My mother gives me a warm smile.

She steps out from behind the counter, expertly balancing 3 plates on her arm. As she sets one down for me, I immediately begin to gobble it up.

She chuckles but finally speaks, "I'm sure you will do excellent, Nova." I perk up at the use off my name but brush it off.

"Doesn't the audition start at 10 am?" My mother says in faux confusion, I look at her befuddled. It wasn't like her to bring up random things, before realizing it was 8:50.

God Damn It! I mentally curse before rushing out the door, "Bye, Mom see you in the Afternoon!" I shouted, I quickly run onto the road.

Only to be hit by a truck.

My body is sent flying a decent height, before I feel the side of by temple hit the road, and blacking out.

My hearing begins to muffle before completely fizzing out.

Laying there on the ground, I know there was no use for me to try and get up. Every bone in my body felt weak, I could feel each and every bone quaking.

It hurt so bad, but I had little to no energy. I begged for it to stop.

- Acquirement of Skill 'Pain Nullification', Successful. -

'Huh, who... who was that. Was it God? No... I don't think they would say something like that. '

Was my bad luck really this bad? I wanted to deny it, but at this point in time there was no use.

I wanted to cry, but what was the use if I was going to die. I take my last moments, thinking. I mean what else was I meant to do.

I remember about the time my teacher taught us about the term *Reincarnation*.

I took this as a life line, maybe then I'll be possibly be reincarnated. I know it sounds stupid but... maybe I could reincarnated as a human?

- Request... Granted. Creating Human Body, Successful -

' Seriously, who is that? And can you please stop, I'm trying to lament over my life right now. Geez hopefully in my next life I'll have dark blue hair...'

- Request... Granted, adding attribute. Successful -

'What... whatever, I'll just continue my rant..'

I wish I was a follower, honestly every time I try to lead something goes wrong. Maybe I could be loyal to someome... Anyone!

I could feel my life drain out of me... is this it? Man I wish I was stronger, maybe I could have been a supportive priest or something.

Like instead of demoralizing people with other beliefs I could support them, even if they were truly wrong.

Maybe I could live in a fantasy world or something. Like with dragons, monsters, and more. Wouldn't that be cool!

I feel a warm feeling in my throat, probably blood. I wish I could stop it though... It's like I am under water, maybe water breathing or something.

Wait, what am I talking about? Now that's just stupid.

I feel slightly exasperated at the mysterious voice... Seriously, what are they talking about?

I feel kinda leftout since this voice is just talking non stop. Does this make me a sage of some sort of insane.

Y'know for a person one their deathbed or street in my case this is talking quite long...

Everything went dark... I couldn't move one bit. It felt weird to say the least. Was this the afterlife?

No it couldn't be, it was way to dark and ambiguous. That's a bit strange though... Where am I? Shouldn't I be in a hospital at?

This feels like a soft fabric of the sorts. Huh another weird factor. I can feel my eyes, now.They're extremely heavy. Can I open them?

I pry them open, only to be assualted by a bright glow. I snap them shut.

What the heck, that hurt. This isn't normal, at least not my normal. Huh is that a voice?

" Astira? It's time to way up" someone says. They don't sound familiar, infact they sound old and grumpy. Was I...

Reincarnated? No it couldn't be! Was my beautiful body I spent two months on really is gone!?

I can't believe it! This is a disaster! "Astria? Wake up." Oh yeah her. Finally I bring myself to open my eyes.

I blink the first few times to adjust them to the new light and environment but then...

I'm greeted by an old cranky face, filled with somewhat affection.

'Oh Hell NO! This woman cannot be my mother!'

What is this!? Some kind of sick joke! My disgust must have shown on my face cause she had a guilty face on now.

I look down at my now... chubby hands, I bring them up to pat my face. Huh, my age estimate is that I'm three, but how did I get here.

I don't get time to think because soon enough this woman is bringing me out out my room to eat or whatever.

I know the saying... don't bite the hand that feeds you but... I'm getting major vibes from this old boomer.

I can't believe I have to live like this now! And What country am I even in? This place doesn't even have electricity!

I let out a small cry which causes the old woman to shove a spoon in my mouth. 'How rude!'

I settle down to eat whatever food she's giving, and then she brings me to by room and sets me down on the floor.

Gee, okay no need to be so irresponsible. "Stay here." She says in a stern tone, before leaving the room.

Finally a moment to analyze my surroundings. I see a crib, looks a bit fragile, not gonna lie. A changing table, mirror, a...

WAIT a mirror!! I scurry over to the mirror to look at myself, and huh.. I have chubby cheeks as expected, and round eyes and Dark blue hair.

''Huh I kinda look like that girl from Wonder Egg Priority or something like that.'

Hopefully my world is happier though. I try to stand up on my chubby legs, gripping the crib for support.

'Huh, this is quite the Bittersweet ending, or should I say beginning?'

Yeah, so... this is roughly 1200 words. Not a lot I know but bare with me.

I plan to start writing Chapters with at the most 3000 words. But hey I'm trying. If you like the Pacing or style say something
