Sirius sat watching Remus study from across the Gryffindor common room. He couldn't take his eyes off the sandy blonde hair, or the amber eyes shining from the lamp, full of curiosity.
I met you in the dark, you light me up
You make me feel as though I am enough
Remus sat studying for herbology in his favourite spot next to the window, but all he could think about was his best friend looking at him across the room, with his luscious raven locks and incredible sense of care.
I knew I loved you then
But you'd never know
'Cause I played it cool when I was scared of letting go
Sirius wasn't sure what to do, whether to play it cool because he was scared of losing Remus, and his mastermind behind his pranks, because of his want, or to march up to him, and tell him exactly how he feels, regardless of the reaction.
I know I needed you
But I never showed
But I wanna stay with you until we're grey and old\
Remus really wanted Sirius to make a move on him because that would prove whether he really did have feelings for him. things in their friendship group had been awkward recently, due to this newfound situation.
and you look as beautiful as ever
And I swear that every day you'll get better
You make me feel this way somehow
Sirius had to make up his mind quickly, or he was at risk of losing Remus forever. This could make or break his entire life.
When you looked over your shoulder
For a minute, I forget that I'm older
I wanna dance with you right now
Remus watched hopefully as Sirius walked over to him, and stood in front of him, sweating bullets but about to say something.
So Sirius said it:
"I wanna live with you
Even when we're ghosts
'Cause you were always there for me when I needed you most
I'm gonna love you 'til
My lungs give out
I promise 'til death we part Like in our vows"
Remus stared for just a moment, but stood up promptly to reach for Sirius, and pulled him in roughly for the best and most passionate kiss of his entire existence.
Remus slightly pulled away to whisper something small against Sirius' lips:
"I'm so in love with you
And I hope you know
Darling, your love is more than worth its weight in gold"
Sirius and Remus were truly happy with each other, and together they decided to find a song to signify their relationship. It's by some muggle called James Artie, or James Arthur or something, and it's called 'Say you won't let go'. It's pretty perfect...
