Armin jolted up from the ground, he held his head as he remembers what Eren had told him before his genocide rampage.
His heart ache knowing that Eren had already told him all his plans, about the rumbling and his inevitable death.
He then turn towards the direction where Mikasa and Levi are, summoning last of his strength ran towards the thick dust of cloud.
"Mikasa!"
He shouted as he drags himself, tumbling all over.
"Mikasa!"
He then notice a silhoutte, rushing through it, the dust cloud settles.
"E-eren?!"
Eren was sitting on the ground, holding Mikasa on his arms. His expression was one who was racked with guilt, and somehow relieved of a heavy burden.
"Y-you..? How?"
Mikasa soon open her eyes, discovering she was in Eren's embrace she blushed before she jumped out and pulls out her sword.
Eren raise his hands up, showing his surrender.
"Eren, what happened?"
"The Founder Ymir. She took everything with her. Remember what I told you?"
"That you really like Mikasa and want to spend your life with her?"
"Eh?" Mikasa flustered and so is Eren.
"Not that idiot! The Founder Ymir!"
"Ah!"
Armin realize what Eren wanted to say. Ymir had been bound by love to the King however, he did not love her even a single bit.
"But you, Eren... is different from the King. So, the Founder save you for Mikasa."
"That's about it..."
"So... is it... done? Are titans no more...?"
"Yeah, Ymir accomplished all my plans in my stead... that's why... I surrender. Do what you want...?"
Suddenly, Eren was hugged by Mikasa and Armin. Their tears flowed out, tightly clinging to him.
Eren felt his heart break, he wrap his arms around them as his tears flow, repeating the words, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
On the distance, the Eldian returned into normal humans after the Founder had purged all the Titan powers. Cheering, hugging and happy reunion had over taken them for a brief moment.
However, commotion had erupted as the Marleyans with their guns pointed at them.
"What happened?"
Mikasa asked as she notice some shouting on the population. Armin wipe off his tears.
"The hatred is not yet gone. Now that Titans are no more, once again they pour their resentment to Eldians."
Eren wanted to take a step towards them but was blocked by Armin.
"Eren, you and Mikasa should go."
"Armin!"
"For them, you are a calamity that must be eradicated. If they know you are alive, they will definitely kill you."
"That is why I am going!"
"No!" Armin grabs Eren's collar, gazing him directly with his willful eyes. "I killed you. From now on, you are dead. Get out of here and live your life with Mikasa, that is what you want, right?"
Eren was shook, and noticed that Mikasa tightly clinging on to his sleeve. He then hold her hand, tightly wrapping around his fingers.
"Thank you... Armin."
The two of them leave the vicinity, leaving Armin.
Looking back, Armin smiled seeing those two happily ran away. Like back then, when they were kids.
He make a deep breath before going towards the commotion to prevent any further bloodshed.
