Prologue

3rd Person Omniscient

The darkroom held no sympathy for the next soul to come through to its judgment day. Especially for the poor circumstances that led this to happen in the first place. The last soul of this devastating cycle. Three angles huddled together, waiting for the last soul to come through. Dressed in long robes, with white cloths covering their entire face, these angels were what was called "The Deciders." They have had a busy couple of months, having to direct the near 8 billion people that were murdered from this cycle to their unfortunate end. A giant door, decorated in golden leaves, was behind the three of them. When opened, this door led to the decision the angels decided on. Either bright light up to Heaven, or a fire pit to the depths of Hell.

"Why do we have to be stuck in some Fallen Angel's punishment? Does God not know the cycle will never end?" One of the angels whispered to their coworkers. This angel was shorter than the rest and looked younger as well, this was probably their first mission from God. They sure did act like it at least.

"Can you be quiet? Don't be disrespectful to God like that. There is a reason why this was your mission. Us too. God is all-knowing." The middle one spoke in a hushed voice, almost scared for someone else to hear this conversation, even though they were the only three in the room.

"Well, you think he'd be bored of punishing the Fallen Angel for his treason already. It's been-" before the shorter one could finish their sentence, a door from above opened up dropping a young man into the neverending dark room in front of the three angels. He sprung up and looked all around him.

"Where are you Ryo?! This isn't the end! I will defeat you!" he shouted out. The middle angel walked toward the young man, placing a hand on his head. The man's spiky hair turned back to its original state. His height and muscles disappeared, as well as his permanent eyeliner. "Wh-what the hell did you do to me? Where is Ryo?! Change me back!"

"Akira Fudo, the last human soul, that is you, correct?"

"Change me back! I need to defeat him!"

"Akira Fudo, that is your name, correct?"

The man sighed and nodded his head. "Let me go back and defeat Ryo! I need to do this!" Though he sounded brave, his face was covered in tears.

"I'm sorry Akira, your chance is no longer effective. You didn't complete your mission, and you ended up here. You have passed on to the Afterlife." Their voice sounded so calm, even though the situation was anything but.

"Mission? What the hell are you talking about?" The angel only shook their head in denial.

"I am sorry Akira, we can not give out information like that at this time. Please hold." All of a sudden a blue light illuminated from the angel and shot forward to Akira. Akira froze in place and was no longer able to be a part of the conversation. A woman instantly shot out of him, lying on the floor in front of the angels. She was beautiful, with long brown hair and an hourglass frame, it made it hard for anyone, even a pure angel to look away. Akira looked to the girl with wide eyes, utterly confused about the situation in front of him.

"What shall we do, 408?" asked the third angel, curious for the directions that were about to receive from the oldest.

"All vessels of _ shall go to Heaven, it is stated in the Fallen Angel's Punishment Guidebook. Akira Fudo shall go to the Great Beyond." Akira's eyes widened. Why was the name blanked out? Why couldn't he hear the name they just shouted. What do they mean vessel? For who? For what?

"I know that, but what about _? Will we be transporting her to a new vessel?" The oldest angel simply nodded and with a swish of their hand, Akira unfroze, stumbling forward.

"Akira Fudo, the only child of Reijiro and Sumiko Fudo, your soul will now go to Heaven. Thank you for the service you've done for Cycle Number 439, even if your efforts were proven futile. May your eternity only be met with happiness, forgiveness, and free of guilt." All three of the Angels bowed before him before the giant door opened up to bright light. Akira walked inside, the door instantly shutting behind him.

"And so the new cycle begins. _ it is your turn to come forth," all the angels stated at once as they looked to the girl on the floor.
