Disclaimer: I don't own Toradora!"

Taiga stood at the window of her apartment, the moonlight shimmering in her brown eyes. She gazed out longingly into the night - or rather, towards the building that stood next to her own.

There was someone the small girl was desire to see. Somebody who had entered her life not long ago, yet had changed it dramatically. This person could not be any more unlike her, for the two of them had barely anything in coming. It was clear they had different backgrounds and upbringings to each other.

Yet this was the one person who Taiga wanted to meet with that night. She really hoped he would show his face and come to see her. The young girl took a deep breath, then with all her longing to see this particular person, she called out to him.

"RYUUJI! GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE!"

The small teenager's bossy, demanding voice was loud enough to shake the walls of the apartment beside her own. The sliding doors drifted open, then a tall figure stepped out onto the balcony. He rubbed his eyes as he gazed up wearily at Taiga. The moonlight lit up his intimidating-looking face. Only the short girl and the few friends she had could see than beneath the thuggish-looking figure she was looking upon was a gentle soul with a heart of gold.

"What is it, Taiga?" Ryuuji asked groggily. "It's three o'oclock in the morning! You just woke me up!"

"You're my dog!" Taiga snapped. "When I order you to come, you come, all ready to serve me!"

"I've exhausted!" Ryuuji yawned. "I've been serving you all day! You've been running me ragged with all the cooking you made me do to get your meals to your perfection! Not to mention how hard I worked cleaning up your apartment! Even between grilling up your food and wiping away all the dust in your home, you still made me help you out with your math homework-"

"SHUT UUUUUUUUUUUUP!"

Ryuuji was cut off from his rambling about all the hard work he had done for Taiga that day. The tall boy was silenced by the two words the small girl bellowed at him - before his intimidating-looking eyes widened at what she did next.

The short figure had thrown herself out of the window of her apartment. She was hurling herself through the air, hundreds of feet above the ground which she could easily fall to. She flung towards the balcony of Ryuuji's apartment, her arms open wide as she flew in the direction of the shocked boy.

A loud crash filled the air as Taiga flew straight into Ryuuji. He let out a stunned cry as he was thrown off his feet to land flat on his back. The scary-looking boy found himself gazing upwards where he lay. His scary-looking eyes were wide as they looked up towards the small girl who had knocked him over. She was now laying on top of him, her face in front of her own with her arms wrapped around him.

"So is this way you called me out here, Taiga?" Ryuuji smiled meekly. "You woke me up and got me outta bed at three o'clock in the morning - just to give me a hug?"

"No, Ryuuji... I called you out here to give you this..."

Taiga shuffled herself to straddle the boy she had knocked onto his back. She sat upright on his middle, gazing down at him as she raised her hand - which she clenched into a fist to punch him as hard as she could on his face.

"Ow!" Ryuuji cried.

The end.
