A.N. I've had this Idea in mind for quite some time now. Now I know what some of you are thinking. Probably because "No Such Luck" was such a bad episode, and yet for such a bad episode there were certainly a lot of stories written about it. Of course I spent most of the time reading such works as. "What Is A Person Worth?", "Losing Him", "No Such Luck, No Such Love", "The Unforgiving", "Luck, Nightmares and Fears Rework." And my person favorite "Spell Luck." Just to name a few. In "Bad Luck, Bad Karma!" Lincoln does run away from home like he did in "The Unforgiving" However unlike that story Lincoln gets adopted by a loving couple, grows up get married and has a family of his own. After a while he does reconcile with the sisters who abandoned him. The first four chapters of this story are going to cover Lincoln as a child and the immediate aftermath from the events of "No Such Luck." In this story while Lincoln gets raised by a loving couple, gets married and raises a family of his own. We are going to see that his sisters, Well most of his sisters anyway were not as fortunate as him.

Chapter One. Louder by name, not by nature.

Deerfield Illinois was a small farming town with a medium sized population. Aside from its usual strip malls, Warehouse stores, fast food joints, and coffee shops there was little this town had to offer. It was a peaceful and quiet town with a relatively low crime rate. Usually the police would be out to hand out traffic violations for anyone who missed a stop sign or misreading the speed limits. Other than that it was nothing at all bad about this peaceful town.

A forty year old couple named Larry and Lora Louder we residents of this peaceful utopia. The couple have been married for twenty years now and during that time they always wanted to have children. Unfortunately for Larry and Lora they can't. After being examined by specialist from out of town. It was found out that Larry was sterol and Lora was baron. None of them could have children, so they went to the adoption agency and by some stroke of luck they've learned of an eleven year old boy from Michigan who was up for adoption. Larry and Lora were overjoyed and knew this was going to be the boy they'll be adopting as their son.

After filing all the paperwork and going through all the procedures for adoption they agency they were overjoyed that they were going to be the foster parents of an eleven year old bot whom the two could not wait to meet in person.

Three weeks later the two drove down to Chicago, about a three hour drive north of Deerfield. The Adoption agency already explained everything about the boy Larry and Lora were going to adopt. His name is Lincoln and from what was said he was the victim of a very abusive family. Larry and Lora stood with shock. How can any parent treat their own son like that? Why would any member of a family do that to their own kid? These questions plagued the minds of the couple until they've reached the adoption agency building.

Upon entering to the adoption agency the two were lead to a room were a case worker was to meet with them. He was a heavy set man in his late forties and early fifties, with silver grey hair. As Larry and Lora entered the room he asked the two to take a seat.

"Ah! Mr. Larry and Mrs. Lora Louder, I understand you are here for the adoption of your new son Lincoln?" He asked

"Yes is he here?" Larry asked

"We've filed out the paper work." Lora said.

The man smiled, pressed the call button on his intercom and said. "Ms. Johnstone would you bring Lincoln up please?"

After a while a middle aged woman came in with a young eleven year old boy. He had snow whiter hair, with freckles, wore an orange polo shirt, blue jeans, and high tops. Both Larry and Lora looked at him with a smile. Aside from his white hair he was just the kind of kid the two wanted for a son, but being the kind hearted people are, Larry and Lora were willing to look past it, they never saw a young boy with white hair before.

"So you two want to introduce yourselves to your new son?" The case worker asked

"Hi, Lincoln I'm Larry Louder, and this is my wife Lora, we're your new parents." Larry said

Lincoln looked up at the two. "Do you have any other children?" he asked.

"No, You're the only son were adopting." Lora said.

"You guys aren't superstitious or anything?" Lincoln asked nervously

Both Larry and Lora looked at each other with confused faces. Why would he asked such a question? Why was he curious about the size of their family? These were only some of the many questions that plagued the two's minds. However what will be resealed about their new son would be something completely disturbing, even unthinkable.

After filling out all the paperwork forms of legal guardianship Lincoln gathered all his belongings. Two backpacks worth of clothes and a few other things. He jumped into his new parents van as the three drove off to his new home in Deerfield. As soon at the got in Larry shown his new son his room as Lora prepared dinner for the three.

Curious about why Larry asked. "So um son. Why did you ask if we had other children?"

Lincoln looked down with a agitated look, he looked like he was on the verge of tears and at the same time about to throw a fit, Like he was both sad and angry. "I rather not talk about it." He said in a quiet tone.

Larry being the inquisitive person he was asked. "Why?"

"WHY!? WHY? I'LL SHOW YOU WHY!" Lincoln shouted. Larry began to worry maybe he shouldn't have kept questioning him. His shouting even alerted Lora who was in the kitchen cooking.

Lincoln opened up one of his backpacks and pulled out a Michigan Newspaper. He slammed it on the table in front of his adopted parents and shouted. "THAYS WHY!"

The headlines of the newspaper read.

(PARENTS OF ELEVEN CHILDREN FOUND GUILTY OF CHILD ABUSE! CHILD NEGLECT! AND CHILD ENDANGERMENT! EACH RECEIVE LIFE SENTENCES! Thirteen Year Old Daughter Found Guilty Of Aggravated Assault And Battery! Sentences To Five Years In Juvie!)

Both Larry and Lora stood silent for a few minutes. Then they looked at Lincoln who looked like he was on the verge of tears. Larry and Lora read into the article about and sure enough it was about Lincoln's family. There was even a photo of Lincoln on the inside of the paper. Larry and Lora were shock by what the article said. It explained how Lincoln was the middle child of eleven children, and the only boy in the family of thirteen. It explained how his Thirteen year old sister Lynn would beat him with a baseball bat. How his parents believing his white hair was a bad omen kicked their only son out of the house, how they boarded up his room and sold all his furniture.

Both Larry and Lora were in a state of shock and disbelief. How could parents be so cruel, so mean to their children. Why would they be so ignorant to use something like superstition to kick their own son out of their house and sold all of his belongings? The article went on to explain how he was only allowed inside after wearing a Squirrel Suit that they forced him to wear everywhere he went. If he so much as took it off, he was not even allowed in their house.

Lincoln sat alone in his new room after a while Larry came in and sat down next to him. "Hey Son." He said.

Lincoln look up at him as he spoke. "Look I know there are a lot of bad people out there in the world. People like you previous family who've kicked you out of their house."

Lincoln looked down. He was fighting back tears.

"Hay hay, now listen up. Me and Lora are nothing like them. I want you to know right now that we will never ever through you out. What they did to you was beyond inconceivable. Let me assure you that me and your new mother are nothing like those people. We are going to take good care of you. We promises." Larry said

With that Larry and Lincoln exchanged their first hug as father and son. True Lincoln's real father was now in jail for what he, his mother and his sisters did to him. But his new father was more loving and caring than he could ever imagen. After a while Lora informed the two that dinner was ready. Lincoln had a great time getting to know his new parents and his new family.

After Dinner he went up to his new bedroom and began to unpack everything he had. Aside from his usual belongings, Cloths Socks, Underwear, jeans, polo shirts, and a couple of Ace Savvy comic books. He also kept a framed Photo of himself with ten girl's age ranging from seventeen to one. Lincoln had strong mixed feels of this particular photo he kept. A part of him wanted to burn it. While another part of him wanted to keep it as a warning and a reminding. The girls in the photo were his ten sisters the same ten sisters who kicked him out of their house. As he held the photo in his hands his mind went back to that time. That painful time were he suffered so much at the hand of his own family.

A.N. I know this chapter was short but it will set the stage for what the rest of the story will be about. The next three chapters we're going to see what happened to the rest of the Loud family.
