Well, this was definitely not what Jennifer Parker had in mind when she came round to her boyfriend's Marty Mcfly's house to hang out and maybe some kisses late at night. Here she was in the dead of night standing in the middle of Twin Pines Mall next to Doc Brown's beat up step van looking alongside Marty as the rear truck doors suddenly opened and a sleek stainless-steel DeLorean drives down the drop-down gate, onto the parking lot. It was a dramatic entrance… one she suspected that Doc had been planning for some time. Speaking of Marty's friend, he popped out of the car clad in a white radiation suit, hood off. His hair wild as ever, his eyes are full of life and energy. Marty and Jennifer moved up to see him. "Doc!" Marty said getting the older man's attention.

Doc turned to face the pair. "Marty!" He exclaimed happily and then frowned slightly when he noticed Jennifer's presence. "And Jennifer!" He turned to Marty looking at him with uncertainly.

"Well, she was round when you called, and our weekend plans you know the camping trip I mentioned?" Marty stampeded at Doc. "Well, they are a bust now." He pouted recalling the sorry state of his Dad's car that Biff had left it in. "So, we just wanted to spend sometime together and…" He trailed off and Jennifer stepped in speaking up.

"Hi Doctor Brown, I promise I won't get in the way just stand back and watched." She said eyes big pleading with him.

Doc looked at the pair of them and then smiled. "The more the merrier! Welcome to my latest experiment." He gestured at the car. "This is the big one-the one I've been waiting for all my life!"

"It's a DeLorean," Marty said ogling the car in front of him with some interest. It was modified with coils and some wicked looking units on the rear engine. "But what did you do to it?"

Being more practical than Marty Jennifer also asked a question. "What's with the radiation suit Doctor Brown should we be wearing one?"

Doc Brown waved his hands as if to fight off their questions. "Bear with me, kids, all of your questions will be answered. Roll tape and we'll proceed."

Jennifer watched as Doc Brown gave a small speech to camera identifying himself and his location sounding rather proud and professional. Commanding his dog Einstein to get inside the car then pointing out the time of the clock Einstein had around his neck and an identical watch Doc had on him was the exactly the same something that seemed of great importance. After turning the ignition and lowering the gull wing door Doc took some steps back and raised a remote-control unit, one similar to what a teenager might use to control a remote-control toy car. Using the accelerator button and joystick for steering Doc sent the DeLorean around the car park screeching it's tires. Was this his latest invention? Hooking up a car to a remote-control unit? If so, Jennifer suspected there would be a lot more road accidents if the likes of Needles or Marty got their hands on it. Doc positioned the car down to the far, far end of the parking lot. Grabbing Jennifer's hand and with Marty following with the camera he positioned the three of them to be standing directly in front of the car.

"If my calcinations are correct, when the car hits 88 miles an hour, you're gonna see some serious shit." Doc declared with an ominous tone that made Jennifer and Marty exchange a look to each other. This was definitely not what Jennifer had planned for tonight.

Doc took a deep breath, then pushes the accelerator button. The DeLorean roared into life taking off at speed, shifting gears automatically. The L.E.D. speedometer passes 30. The stainless-steel vehicle zooms faster...past 40... Marty was getting it all on tape while Doc was looking in wonder at the car racing towards them. The speedometer climbs past 60. In the car, Einstein remains calmly in the driver's seat. Out of the car the realisation that they are seconds away from being ran over by the same car hits Marty and Jennifer and they moved to get out of the way. Doc grabs their hands keeping them in place. "Watch this! Watch this!" He tells him in utter belief of something.

The gauges and instrument lights mounted behind Einstein inside the DeLorean begin flashing. Still despite the car getting ever closer Brown's finger held the accelerator button down. The meter passes 75. The DeLorean kept accelerating, approaching Marty, Jennifer and Brown. The coils mounted around the car begin glowing. The speedometer hit ...88... Then automobile was suddenly engulfed by a blind white glow that made Jennifer close her eyes - then, BLAM! It was gone, a trail of fire left in its wake. Doc, Jennifer and Marty are hit by a sharp blast of air.

Marty blinks in disbelief: it's as if the car never existed. Jennifer opened her eyes in shock. Had they been drugged? Was she dreaming? What had just happened? Only the car's license plate was left behind spinning on the ground. What the hell was going on here? Doc Brown meanwhile was on cloud 9, elated, overjoyed, jumping for joy and yelling. "What'd I tell you? 88 miles per hour! Temporal displacement occurred at," he checked his watch to get an official time exactly "1:02 a.m. and zero seconds."

"Christ Almighty! You disintegrated Einstein!" Marty said in shock and Jennifer turned to look at Doc in complete horror. Had he really just destroyed his own dog in an experiment?!

"Calm down, Marty. I didn't disintegrate anything." Doc shook his head while writing a few notes on a note pan. "The molecular structure of both Einstein and the car are completely intact."

"Then where the hell are they?" Marty exclaimed. Jennifer looked around for any sign of the car, but it had totally vanished.

"The appropriate question is when the hell are they." Doc replied with childlike glee almost relishing the question. "You see, Einstein has just become the world's first-time traveller. I sent him into the future-one minute into the future, to be exact. And at exactly 1:03a.m. and zero seconds, we shall catch up to him...and the time machine."

Jennifer's eyes widen and she looked at Doc Brown in almost disbelief. "Time machine?" She whispered to him and Doc nodded at her with pride. Doc Brown that crazy scientist who was known for causing power outages and small fires around town… had managed to build an actual time machine?

Marty took a deep breath trying to slowdown his brain. "Time machine? Are you trying to tell me you built a time machine out of a DeLorean?"

Doc smiled, modestly but rather smugly Jennifer noted. "The way I figured it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style!" Jennifer rolled her eyes at that. Boys with their cars they never grow out of it. Marty was the same earlier today getting awestruck and drooling over some pickup truck they had seen earlier in town. Doc continued to defend his choice of vehicle to the youngsters. "Besides, the stainless-steel construction made the flux dispersal-" His alarm clock tied around his head beeped and he looked down in shock. "Look out!" He cried pushing Marty and Jennifer back and suddenly, a sharp blast of wind came up out of nowhere, along with a deafening sonic boom and the DeLorean reappeared right where it vanished, still going 88 m.p.h. The three of them just managed to get out of the way of its path. Doc hit the brake button and the car wheels locked up and it came to a screeching halt, smoke pouring off the body along with it looked like a cover of ice. The three of them rushed over to the car.

Amazingly Einstein was alright, Jennifer couldn't believe as she watched the dog jump out of the car and race past her. Then like a child wanting to show off his new toy Doc launched into a speech showing how the time machine worked. Jennifer tried to take it all in looking at the various displays and instruments onboard. It looked much like Doc had cobbled together different parts from various sources, but it worked! She had seen it with her very own eyes. Doc's successes with his various experiments and inventions tended to be more failure than success but he really had done the impossible this time. Doc was particularly proud of something in the back mounted between the driver and the passenger's seat. Flux Capacitor he called it, to Jennifer it just looked some wires with blinking lights but according to Doc it allowed for time travel.

Then it was quickly established that the time machine ran on plutonium rather than regular gas and also quickly established that Doc had ripped it off from Libyan nationalists. No wonder Marty had seen Doc all week he had probably been hiding out. Jennifer then found herself in the truck alongside Einstein watching as Doc and Marty in their radiation suits added a plutonium rod into the reactor before removing their hoods and Marty signalled to Jennifer, she could come out now. She came out and watched alongside Marty as Doc moved quickly announcing that he was going 25 years into the future to see the world and progress of mankind. He did stop mid speech to camera laughing to himself admitting he had forgotten to pack more plutonium to make a return trip to the present. Jennifer couldn't help but smile clearly the man had gotten caught up in the moment.

Just then Einstein started barking and they all turned to look at the direction he was barking at. Jennifer squirted as it appeared to be a van in the distance, the headlights came on and it started to speed up towards them. Behind her she heard Doc mutter with cold dread and horror. "Oh, my god- they found me. I don't know how, but they found me. Run for it kids!"

"Who?!" Marty cried out.

"Who do you think?! The Libyans!" Doc cried out in panic. The van side door slides open and a middle Eastern man leans out with an AK 47 submachine gun. He opens fire as Marty and Jennifer duck behind the DeLorean. Doc too ducked to avoid the bullets before rising up proclaiming, "I'll draw their fire!" Rushing over to a bag he rummaged around and dug out a .45 revolver. He tried to fire at the van, but the gun wouldn't work. The Libyans were right in front of Doc there was no escape he threw the gun away pathetically while his hands were raised. Jennifer watched in horror as the terrorist gunner fired a burst at Brown. The bullets ripped into Brown's chest and the scientist went down.

"Noooo! You bastards!" Marty stood up yelling in pain and horror.

"Marty No!" Jennifer grabbed him preventing him from rushing forward and being killed. Hearing Marty the gunner turned to point the gun at the pair of them. They held each other as they prepared to face death. But the machine gun jammed, and gunner cursed. Seeing the open door to the car they dashed into the car. Taking a last look at Doc on the ground Marty shut the door and floored the engine. Jennifer now found herself in a car chase in a DeLorean being followed by a middle Eastern terrorists in a VW van with machine gun firing on them. This was not what she had prepared for this evening. Marty moved the car avoiding the gunfire as they drove around the carpark coming out a corner Jennifer spotted the gunner pull out a rocket launcher. "Marty!" She cried out in fear.

"Let's see if you bastards can do ninety!" Marty declared kicking into another gear. The car spread up accelerating forward in speed with the speedometer climbs...86...87...88. The mall parking lot was suddenly changed into an open field with a scarecrow in the middle of it! Marty and Jennifer was speeding toward it at 88 miles an hour they hit it! The scarecrow's face hideously smashed against the windshield causing them both to scream before they crashed into a barn. That is right a barn, right in the middle where a shopping mall should be. A barn complete with some trigger-happy farmer with a shotgun and shouting something about his pine tree. It was all very disorienting to Jennifer as Marty spread off away from whatever was there. It was a dream he was muttering, and she had to agree this was all a dream! A fantasy! But then Marty stopped the car and the pair looked stunned as they gazed at the Lion's Gates "Lyon Estates," standing alone on a dirt road, surrounded by coloured pennants and a large sign promoting the development. It all looked brand new and surrounded with empty farmland. It was real. They had travelled back in time.

Unable to get the car started they hid it behind the billboard and walked into town trying to form a plan of what to do. Arriving in the Hill Valley Town Square and Jennifer was amazed at what she saw. It was all vibrant, bustling and alive. She had to admit that she and Marty were gathering strange looks dressed as they were. She felt like she was sticking out like a sore thumb dressed in jeans guessing women wore dresses at this period of time. Noticing the public telephone sign at Lou's Cafe across the street. Marty has an idea and they rushed in. After getting past the café owner, they got the phone booth and flipped through the directory looking for a younger version of Doc Brown. Finding his name but no answer they were at a loss what to do. Sitting down to have a coffee before they knew it, they had ran into the resident bully Biff and his gang but more importantly they ran into a nerdy looking kid who was George McFly! He was Marty's dad, a younger version of him.

Marty and Jennifer couldn't help but stare at a young George McFly. Not much was different about him noted Jennifer from her experience of Marty's father. The nervousness, jitteriness and lack of social confidence was all there plain to see. Marty always expressed a disappointment in his father wishing he could be something more that Jennifer didn't always like about him. Marty seemed to have high expectations and while George was geeky around her, he was never less than kind. George seemed to get tired of the staring and in a moment of confusion he was gone. Marty however wanted to talk to him longer and grabbing Jennifer's hand raced out after him.

"I can't see him!" Marty cursed as they came around a corner. They had lost sight of him as he was on a bike and they were on foot. "I'll try the next block how about you go down here." Marty gestured down the street and Jennifer nodded.

Marty ran off to the next block as she moved down the street looking around at the houses wondering if Marty's dad lived in one of them when she came across George's bike parked underneath a tree. Jennifer looked around, then spotted Marty's dad up in the tree, precariously out on a branch overhanging the street, about 12 feet up. He had a pair of binoculars trained on a second story window in the house across the street. Jennifer looked confused. What is he looking at? She wondered and she glanced in the same direction a young girl in the 2nd story bedroom window of the house opposite in her underwear dressing.

Jennifer looked up at George in disbelief and disgust as she realised what George is doing. "He's a peeping Mom!" She muttered shaking her head.

Above her George tried to move closer but lost his balance he tumbled into the street! Jennifer watched eyes widen as George groaned shaken and dazed, then slowly tries to get up. Now a car comes from around the corner. George didn't see it, but Jennifer can see that it's going to hit George.

"Look out!" Jennifer called out but George is still dazed. Jennifer dashed into the street, and in a pushed him, knocking him out of the path of the oncoming car. George was safe but now Jennifer was right in front of the car. It slammed on the brakes and but still hit Jennifer knocking her to the ground. Stunned after hitting her head on the pavement she felt her eyes roll back in her head as lost consciousness lying in the street.

Later Jennifer found herself stirring in a room in darkness as came back to the land of living. "Mom?" Jennifer groaned hearing movement in the room she was in. "Mom is that you?" Ah all was good in the world; she was back home in her bed and had been dreaming. She must have gone to her grandma's house and dreamt the whole thing.

"There, there, now." Came a calming, caring voice in the shadows. "Just relax. You've been asleep for almost nine hours now."

Strange as it didn't sound like her mother but maybe it's just cause she was still groggy Jennifer decided. "I had a horrible nightmare." Jennifer muttered tired recalling the images of her dream. Marty, Doc, the time machine, 1955. "I dreamed that I went back in time. It was terrible."

"Well... you're safe and sound now back in good old 1955." Came the reply.

"1955!" Jennifer near screamed in shock and shot up from the bed. The person turned on the light and Jennifer was shocked at the girl she was looking at. It was the same girl George was spying on, but Jennifer also recognised her beyond that. It was… it couldn't be… but it was! "You're Marty's..."

"My name is Lorraine. - Lorraine Baines?" Replied a younger version of Marty's mother. Jennifer felt her head spin first she meets Marty's father and now she meets Marty's mother! But it was her she was young, the same age as Jennifer and thinner and softer looking than how Jennifer remembered her… in the present… or in the future… or was it Jennifer's past now? Time travelling made thoughts confusing Jennifer decided as her mind started going in circles, threatening to shut down.

"Just relax, Ann. You got a big bruise on your head." Lorraine spoke to her trying to get Jennifer to focus. The girl looked like she was about to pass out again. Jennifer took a few steady breathes deciding to have a panic attack later and focus on the now. Lorraine gave her a little smile letting her know everything would be okay and Jennifer couldn't help but return it as it made her feel a little better.

Jennifer moved forward a little and looked down seeing her own bare leg. "Where are my pants?" She exclaimed gripping the bed covers.

"Over there... on my hope chest." Lorraine replied pointing and blushing Jennifer noted. "I've never seen such underwear before, Ann." Lorraine admitted averting her eyes. She seemed very shy but full of life. A far cry from the tired almost worn-out woman Jennifer had experience with. She was also very beautiful, Jennifer noted having never seen a picture of Marty's mother when she was younger.

"Ann? Why do you keep calling me Ann?" Jennifer questioned looking around confused.

"That is your name, isn't it? Ann Summers. It's written all over your underwear." Lorraine responded before adding, "I guess they call you Annie, huh?"

"Umm no your right Ann it is," Jennifer admitted unable to think of anything better to say. She had forgotten that she was wearing Ann Summers underwear well she was meeting Marty late at night with the plan of some making out. God help her she realised that Marty's mother had seen her underwear! Jennifer had always found the woman very prudist and disapproving of both Jennifer and of her relationship with Marty. He wasn't totally wrong when he joked earlier that day that he thought the woman was born a nun. Marty's mother had never been on board with her youngest son's relationship with Jennifer. Jennifer had tried not to take it too heart that much as her own father was always acting similarly to Marty. She had decided that it was a simple case of not thinking anyone was good enough for their children.

This girl before her didn't seem to a nun at all however as she looked at Jennifer, fascinated. "Pleased to meet you, Ann... Summers." Lorraine stood up and moved to sit next to Jennifer, correction to sit very close to Jennifer. Okay this was very different to the slightly cold and frosty interactions that Jennifer had with Marty's mother. The woman never seemed to approve of her, and it showed but her younger self seemed… a little interested in her. "Do you mind if I sit here?" Lorraine asked looking at with big eyes.

Lorraine's closeness sent shivers up and down Jennifer's spine as she tried to edge away without falling off the bed. Lorraine seemed both shy and bold at the same time and Jennifer was struggling to remember that this was Marty's mother who according to Marty would disapprove of a mere camping trip with Jennifer. "No. Fine. No. Good. Fine. Good." She babbled while inside she was very nervous and uneasy.

"That's a big bruise you have there." Lorraine said as she moved her hand up gently stroking Jennifer's bruised forehead...and then runs her hand through the other girl's hair. Jennifer moved even further and couldn't help but fell off the bed landing with a thump on the floor.

"Lorraine? Are you up there?" Came a voice from outside of the room.

"Oh my god it's my mother!" Lorraine exclaimed looking at the doorway in panic. She quickly rushed over to the door, opening it and ducking into the hall. But not before giving Jennifer a flirtatious smile and a wink while closing the door.

Jennifer got to her feet stunned and looking around confused by the whole situation she was in.
