A reaper leviathan traveled swiftly across the cool waters of 4546B. He swam across the top of the Void, holding herbs in his mouth. His mind raced as he thought about who he was going to meet this very day..
The very being that rules the ocean, the Sea Emperor
The leviathan had come prepared. He was too deliver herbs to the sick emperor's prison, where the Sea Emperor was kept chained up and guarded by Ghost leviathans. The emperor was a heavy ruler, and very violent, so it seemed the only option was to hold him onto the bottom of the ocean so he could do no harm.
Chained or not, he was still the ruler, which meant respect should come his way. And respect this reaper would bring - he had been sent from his home land, called The Sector, to deliver the herbs to where the emperor resided. The emperor resided in another land far East, named Uri. It was a vast land, covered with green sea floors and giant caves. It was just a few miles off from another land know as The Crater, which was similar to Uri, but much deeper and home to warmer climates.
The leviathan stopped for a moment, narrowing his eyes as if he could sense something in the distance. In the dark waters of the void, he could just make out a small, blue shape coming towards him. It was not a doubt to him what it was, it was a Peeper.
It swam up to him, stopping in front of his face as the Peeper blinked, staring at the larger creature in front of him - but he was unafraid.
"Hello," the Reaper said, giving a small nod, "Where are you off too?"
"Zero Land," The Peeper replied.
The Reaper stared at the Peeper or a moment - bewildered. Zero Land was a cold, harsh place home to Pengwings. He couldn't imagine a coastal Peeper going there, or even surviving in such cold climate.
"Zero Land you say? Humph, I'd rather bite down on a Strider's leg than go there. May I ask why you're heading there?"
"Emperor's request. I need to inform a medicine fish of his conditions. I assume you're the reaper that his supposed to deliver the herbs?" The Peeper asked, sounding confident and proud.
"Yes, I am. Is Uri not far from here?"
"It is only a few more miles away, once you start seeing Ghost leviathans around, you'll know you're there," The Peeper paused, blinking, as if in thought, than kept going. "You should hurry. When I left, the emperor was not in a good mood, and he won't be better if you stand here."
The sudden harshness in the Peeper's tone caught the reaper off guard, but he nodded reluctantly. The Peeper narrowed his eyes at the reaper, seeming to judge him for a moment.
"What's your name?" The Peeper asked after a moment of silence.
"Vincen, sir," The reaper replied.
"Vincen.. do not fail me, and do not fail the emperor. We must get the emperor better - his wife is pregnant and we need to make sure she lays her eggs properly, but before we can handle that we must make sure the emperor survives. Do you got me?"
Vincen was taken back for a moment. The tone shift in the tiny Peeper was unexpected, as if he was lying all of their planet on him. But Vincen simply nodded, trying not to seem confused entirely on what the Peeper had said.
"Yes sir," Vincen replied, still trying to sound confident.
The Peeper blinked gratefully, before he kept swimming in the opposite direction as Vincen. Now, he just had to make it to where the Emperor was, and hopefully, it wouldn't seem to difficult. All he had to do was deliver something, after all. How hard could it be?
