Chapter 1 A Gut feeling
Gibbs snarled he knew deep down in his gut something was wrong, he hadn't figured it out just yet.
"Everything okay there boss?"
"Yeah McGee, just…" he shrugged and his phone interrupted him
"Gear up"
"Body?" As McGee as they got in the car
"Yeah err there" replied Gibbs who showed his phone to McGee
Torres and Bishop followed McGee and Gibbs in the van
"What do you think is wrong?" Asked Torres
"I have no idea Nick"
Torres didn't have to say anything he gently put his hand on her leg
"Thanks Nick" fighting back a wave of emotions.
Suddenly they stopped McGee quickly ran round the car and opened the passenger door
Gibbs stumbled out needing fresh air
"Tim…" he whispered
He needed support as he tried to stop the impending nausea as he slid down to sit by the car.
"What can we do?" Torres asked
"Nothing, I'm going to get him to the hospital." Tim said trying not to panic
"Lets go Nick" Bishop said as they heard Gibbs coughing
"TIM!" Gibbs managed to shout.
"Go now both of you, I will ring you as soon as I can"
He heard the van speed off whilst turning to find Gibbs still sitting who was barely looking at him with blood coming out of his mouth.
"Let's get you back in the car." Wiping the blood away with a tissue, he helped Gibbs in to the passenger seat.
Before speeding back towards the hospital as fast as he could.
Gibbs was barely conscious as they rocked up outside
"QUICK SOMEONE HELP PLEASE?" McGee shouted
A couple of paramedics on standby ran over and Gibbs world went completely went dark.
McGee watched as his boss, second dad be worked on when his realisation that no-one else knew
"Director, sorry to disturb you its Gibbs"
Leon Vance stood up in the middle of a meeting and walked out "What is it McGee?" as the others looked in shock
He listened as his heard McGee replayed the terrifying moments
"I will be there in ten minutes" Vance replied who promptly walked back in to the meeting and explained, before running out to his car.
McGee then rang Bishop
Bishop and Torres were now at the 'Crime scene' or supposed to be
"Its McGee!" Torres ran towards Bishop who was still looking for the body
"How is he your on speaker"
McGee "He is in surgery now"
They both went quiet, McGee broke the silence
"Where are you with the case?"
"That's another thing, Tim we don't have a body"
McGee was stunned, had Gibbs gotten it wrong? But no he had seen the text
"Get back here now both of you please" the surgeon came in to the room…
