This is going to be a bunch of oneshots. There will be a mix of characters, both from the Shadowhunters book and TV series, characters from other books and TV shows, and some people I made up. Please review this FanFiction. Every review, follow and/ or favourite gets a shout-out soooo... yeah. Enjoy.
The long shadows cast by the gravestones should have frightened her. The ominous cawing of some unseen crow should have unsettled her. The mist poring through the cemetery's creaky gate should have stopped her from progressing further into the darkness. The breeze tugging violently at her hair and clothes had scared off everything, even the moon. It should have scared her off too. But it didn't.
She made her way through the cemetery quickly, often brushing a hand along the tops of the worn stone blocks, clouds of dust left drifting through the air. Occasionally she would mumble something under her breath as she touched a gravestone, stopping momentarily to dip her head in respect at the people who lay there. Then she would continue, hands tucked into pockets as she strode confidently further into the labyrinth of death that covered the plain.
Eventually she stopped, sitting gingerly on a half crumbled rock, pulling her hands out of her pockets to rub them together. A blue spark appeared between her hands, and she rubbed faster. The spark grew rapidly, and soon a soft blue glowing was coming from her hands. A person flickered in front of her before disappearing again. The light grew stronger, and another person appeared before her, this time staying for long enough that she could take them in fully. Then they were gone, a memory blown away on the harsh winds of time.
This time, two people appeared, hand in hand, and she smiled sadly at them. They, too, disappeared, and soon they were replaced by another person. This continued for a while, before one of the people spoke.
"Where am I?" They whispered. The lady shook her and a smiled.
"This is the in between, the here and there. It is the when, what, why and how. It is the past, present and future. This place is both everything and nothing."
The person looked confused, before a look of understanding flashed across their face.
"Am I... dead?" They whispered once more.
"I'm afraid so," the girl said. "And soon, you shall leave here, and get to the afterlife. I'm simply here because I want to talk to a friend of mine who has recently passed away."
"Ok," the person standing said. "How did I die?"
"I can't tell you that," the seated figure said. "Partly because I don't know, and partly because even if I did, I can't tell you."
"Oh, I see," the person standing said quietly. "Well, thank you…uh—"
"Dawn," the girl said holding out her hand. "My name is Clary."
"Amber," the standing person said, shaking Clary's hand. "I have one more question, when will I—"
And she was gone, a gentle flicker of blue light that disappeared as though it had never been there. Clary frowned slightly, and rubbed her hands again, waiting patiently for the next person to arrive.
What do you think? Like it? Hate it? I know this chapter was short, but that's just because I wanted to get it over and done with so I can avoid writers block, coz when I get it, I get it bad. I'll try to make chapters longer from here, but no promises. Please review!
