Midoriya Izuku licks her lips as she stares at the man sitting behind a desk.
It's been nearly two weeks, where she has tried to control the growing hunger inside her.
Weeks of pure torment as she tries to starve herself of the negative emotions and the well-kept secrets that she can sense from her fellow classmates.
Weeks as Izuku tries very hard not to go anywhere near or feed on the people that her true nature considers as her real food source.
Now, Izuku can no longer keep her hunger at bay.
Her true instinct dictates that she finally feeds on one of them.
The first night when Izuku's true quirk awakened, she was not able to stop herself from entering through the Ether to prey on her two classmates while her real body lay sleeping in her dorm.
The hunger was all-consuming that her mind was reduced to that of starving, feral beast. A dark persona made manifest, where she calls herself as Dark Heart.
At that time, she lost control and consumed the boys' negative emotions, their well-kept secrets, but most of all, she devoured the darkness lurking in their hearts.
She remembers that Bakugou Katsuki was the first to fall prey to her. The rage that fuels his quirk taste bittersweet in her tongue when she starts feeding on him a month ago. He was enough to quench her hunger for ten hours, but not enough to last for days. So Izuku hunted for another source and ended up feeding on the negative emotions and secrets from Todoroki Shouto.
For the first week since her awakening, Dark Izuku entered the Ether to feed on both boys. When she is in the Ether, Dark Heart is rendered invisible and intangible to her prey, but not to her. She can touch them however she please, and when she does, the power she holds over them is quite addicting.
During the first week as she preys on the two boys in the middle of the night, Izuku learns a lot of things during her feeding.
It seems that a prolonged contact with her prey completely turns them on sexually. She recalls how shocked - and a bit curious - she was the first time Izuku ended up feeling something hard pressed against her when she fed on Bakugou. Or the time when Todoroki moaned and grinded himself against her when Izuku had straddled him that one night.
Of course, Izuku tries to forget all these occurrences, considering that the boys always thought that they were having a wet dream of some naked girl necking them during the night.
That was two weeks ago, wherein Izuku decided to go on a hunger strike and stop feeding on them or anyone else for that matter because of the crippling shame she felt after. Even though she was the dark persona of the real Izuku, it still doesn't stop Dark Heart from feeling somewhat guilty.
Yet not even a day after her decision, Dark Heart started to feel hungry again.
It is hard for her to ignore the bouts of sudden hunger every time the real Izuku falls asleep and Dark Heart awakens, especially when she lived among her other classmates.
However, she soon learned that her two classmates of the Hero class were not the food she had been craving. Kacchan and Shouto were just the appetizer while Izuku denied herself the full course for an entire month.
In fact, Izuku had spent most of her time only eyeing her real food source for weeks and had only dared touch one of them when the temptation became too much.
Now, she is back in the underground hideout to watch her prey.
But this time, Izuku is close to the breaking point.
She needs to feed. Really feed.
Izuku can feel the venom building up in her mouth as she stares at the man, whom she was spying for weeks.
The first time Izuku found herself there, she had immediately tried to attack the man.
The villain who managed to escape the Pro Heroes and the Police Force combined when they raided his organization's hideout.
Yet Izuku soon found out that she could not harm him, or touch him at all, if she wasn't preparing to feed. So for weeks, she had kept in the shadows and observed her potential prey.
Yesterday night, Izuku was not able to stop herself from running a finger down the man's nape. The villain, of course, had been completely thrown off guard at the phantom sensation of her finger on him. As a result, the villain had destroyed his old office in his attempt to eliminate the invisible entity that haunted him while Izuku had simply laughed at the sight.
Izuku smiles in amusement when she recalls what happened yesterday. Still she continues to watch as the villain goes through his paperworks using his white gloved hands.
Like a moth to a fiery flame, Izuku can't help but step closer to the villain, who remains oblivious to her presence as she stands there inside his new office within the secret hideout he manages to slither into.
At her movement, Izuku briefly notes the way the villain seems to tense as if he is able to finally sense her.
Perhaps he does...
A pair of golden eyes flicker upwards and Izuku freezes on the spot as those mesmerizing eyes settle on the space just to the right where Izuku is standing.
"I know you are there..." the villain says and Izuku's heart leaps to her throat at the villain's words. "Whoever you are...I advised you to stop toying with me and show yourself. If you don't, I will find a way to erase your very existence..."
For a moment, Izuku merely stands there in stunned silence.
However, when she senses the gnawing in her stomach and the venom flooding her mouth, Izuku's emerald eyes narrow in determination.
"Give it your best shot then...because your power won't be enough to stop me from getting what I came here for," is all she says to the villain right before she pounces on him.
Of course, Izuku knows that Kai Chisaki - or Overhaul - can't hear her at all, but if she keeps contact with him long enough, she knows that he will be able to feel and probably hear and see her like the others who become her prey.
