Well folks it's been awhile hasn't it, my legend of korra and boruto story will be continued in the summer since it will be a lot to write and school gets in the way of it. So I said "hey let me do a story that wouldn't be as time consuming for right now" and that's where my camp cretaceous fanfiction comes in, for those that don't know I am huge jurassic park/world fan(I'm a fan of anything dinosaur related really) and this new series is so good the new season came out two days ago I watched it and was left on a cliffhanger and I can't wait for season 4. Moving on now this story will be OC but not fully since the main character would still be Darius(he's the mc of the show) I will be just incorporating myself into the story and I'll use my real name(Geleel) so yea I would be a main character since all the kids in the group are(Brooklynn, Yasmina, Kenji, Ben, and Sammy). I will do pairings but their won't be M rated scenes or anything the most that will happen is a kiss or something. Pairings will most likely be, Darius(age 13 and Brooklynn(age14), Geleel (age,15) (me) and Yazmina(age 16), Kenji(age 16) and Sammy(age 15), and I'm sorry Ben but you will not be paired with someone but it's fine I'm sure you'll have someone(or dinosaur) to fill that spot.
We start off from a first person point of view. It would appear we are in a prehistoric jungle of sorts. A man runs by us wearing a cowboy hat and vest. "Come on!, over here!" the man yells. We follow him and run deeper into the forest. We eventually get to a rock and stop to catch our breath. "Wait wait, I think...we lost em we just gotta get to the chopper" the man said trying to catch his breath.
As he was prepared to relax both us and him look up to see a brown velociraptor poised and ready to attack. We both evade the raptors attack and begin running from it.
We eventually get to a clearing and trip onto some dinosaur bones. "Raptor bones!?" a voice exclaims. We disregard the bones and just keeo running through the forest.
We reach a lake and are about to cross it to get to the extraction point. "Hurry we're almost to the extraction point!" explained the man. "No we can use the river to mask our scen-" the voice tries to say again but it is too late as the raptor pack runs past us and finishes Hanes.
Loud stomping is heard in the distance. We turn to see a T. rex towering above us. "Ahh crud" said the voice. The T.rex attacks us, and...game over.
As the game is over we now realize that it was just someone playing a VR game. It is a kid that is most likely 12 or 13 and has mocha colored skin with a mini fro and a box fade and appears to be about 5'3, this is Darius, he wears a yellow jacket and blue jeans. "Raar" an older boy that fit the same description minus the age and height, who is wearing gray sweats and a gray track pants his is Darius' brother Bran. Darius is startled by Bran's fake roar. "Not cool Bran". Bran chuckles.
"Yea, like you know what cool is." Bran says with another chuckle. Bran then begins to forcefully move Darius from his gamer seat. "Ugh get off me Bran!" Darius tries to defend but Bran being the bigger of the two eventually over powered him. Bran realizes Darius lost the game again. "Oh come on you and that old guy always end up as dinosaur food." Bran says not impressed.
"His name is Dr. Merriweather." Darius says in a matter of fact tone. "His name should be lunch." Bran rebuttals. "Bran I am so close if I could just get around the T.rex I could beat the game and win a-" Darius is cut off by Bran. "A trip to jurassic world I know, but if straight up gamers say this game is unbeatable how is some dino nerd kid gonna beat it." Bran said with no remorse.
"Wow great pep talk bro, you been working on it?" Darius says with sarcasm. Bran sighs. "Look Darius, I know getting to jurassic world was your and dad's dream but there's more to life than just dinosaurs, like you never leave your room anymore bruh, dad wouldn't want this." Bran said trying to reason with his little brother. "I hear you, but even if winning is dumb and hopeless I still gotta try." Darius says hoping his brother would understand. "I guess so D, but can you atleast take a break, maybe work on a shower cause you're smelling pretty funky man." Bran said chuckling and leaving the room.
Darius chuckles too as Bran leaves. Bran looks back to say something but notices Darius is once again glued to the game. Darius just sits staring at the game over screen looking almost defeated. He walks over to a photo of what looks to be his dad.
He grabs a necklace that was on the photo and holds it close to him. The necklace was a tooth of some sort that belonged to a dinosaur maybe, with a thin strap holding it in place. Darius lays on his bed holding the necklace to his chest.
Later that night
"That's it!" Darius wakes up seemingly excited because he had a new idea. He's so excited he fell off his bed. He goes up to his personal library and finds a book on raptor behavior. "So if my theory is correct."
He boots the game back up. "It's go time." he says determined to win. Darius hits continue game. We start where we left as the T.rex goes to chomp down on our virtual self. "Woah!!" the voice of Darius says as we evade the T.rex begin fleeing from it. We find ourselves at the raptor bones once more. Darius' virtual self begins looking around frantically in the bone pile. The T.rex nears and is getting closer and closer. Before it can do anything however the bone that Darius was looking for is found.
The raptor windpipe. Darius activates the wind pipe. "Please whistle." he says pleadingly. Right as the t.rex was about to kill him the raptor pack comes to his aid and saves him. They begin to attack the t.rex causing it to be distracted from Darius. A helicopter flies and lands to pick up Darius. Darius runs towards it. The screen lights up a bright yellow with the text "Congratulations."
"Congratulations player, I'm Mr. DNA and you're the first person to ever beat our game." says a strand of DNA. "So we want to reward you with a trip to jurassic world's exclusive camp, Camp Cretaceous!" said Mr. DNA showing Darius his prize.
"Bran!, Mom!" Darius says excitedly, as the screen fades to an island at day time.
Jurassic world theme plays
"Welcome to isla nublar campers, you are the first kids to ever experience the awesomeness that is camp cretaceous." said a guy who appeared to be a camp director of some sort. "I know I know the trip from the mainland was rough on some, hello Ben." the man says to a awkward boy that was wearing a neon green jacket and blue pants. This boy was currently in the process of hurling all of his lunch into the ocean.
"But ya made it, I'm Dave head counselor, you heard that correctly head hunco the big shot." Dave wears a red shirt with the jurassic world logo on the left chest, along with khakis, he has messy blonde hair and wears a yellow headband. As Dave is gloating about being "head counselor" a vehicle is heard and the kids turn to see it stop roughly.
"Ahh so sorry I'm late, welcome campers I'm Roxie head counselor of camp cretaceous." said a woman with a thick Australian accent. She worse the same uniform as Dave only her shorts were khaki but a bit more feminine. She had brown hair that was down.
The campers look at Dave confused since he said he was the head counselor.
"Hehe, it's sort of a co-head counselor sort of thing." Dave says trying to clear his name. "Is it?" Roxie asks in a question tone. Dave clears his throat and begins speaking again.
While he is speaking a pink haired girl with green eyes begins recording with her phone, she's wearing a pink jacket and blue jeans this is Brooklynn. She pans the camera to another female in the group who had brownish black hair, and brown eyes who was wearing a full body gray track suit, this is Yasmina.
Yasmina blocks her face from the camera and walks away. Brooklynn turns her attention to the rest of the group. This is only noticed by Darius and another kid, they both look at the camera weirdly.
Darius looks with an awkward smile, while the other kid looks straigh faced. This other kid seems to be pretty tall for his age around 5'10 or 5'11(my real height is 6'0 but I felt I needed to downsize it). Much like Darius he has mocha colored skin. His hair is dreaded but he has the hair on the side faded. The right side of his head has some hair tied into a rubber band while the other side has all the other dreads down(if you don't understand the hairstyle just search up Polo G deep wounds and go to images).
He wears a black basketball jersey that says Brooklyn on the front(not Brooklynn the character, the Brooklyn nets nba team) the number on the jersey is seven. He wears black Brooklyn nets shorts to match the jersey he also wears black and white sneakers(John Cena jordans google image them).
He isn't buff nor is he skinny he has lean muscle probably do to his conditioning for basketball last but not least he wears a chain that is made of diamonds that make the word "capalot"(once again just google capalot chain and go to images). This is me(Geleel).
"Uhh pinky you mind not putting a camera directly into my face without warning." Geleel says slightly annoyed with Brooklynn. Brooklynn didn't pay him mind and kept filming. Geleel tried to walk away but a hand pulls him back into the camera.
He turns to notice a girl wearing a black leather jacket, and a pink band on her head. He doesn't even protest because he didn't want to cause a scene on his first day.
"As our first campers we've lined up exclusive behind the scenes tours of jurassic world." Roxie says getting the campers excited. Minus Ben who opted to groan instead.
"Rock climbing, obstacle courses, and of course-" before Roxie can continue dinosaur cuts in. "Dinosaurs!?" he yells/asks. "Y-Yes Darius, plenty of dinosaurs, So ready for an adventure?" Roxie asked.
"Absolutely, but I'm gonna need that speech a little shorter and really try to lay into the majesty of this place." Brooklynn says causing Dave and Roxie to have questioning looks. "Uhh okay let's get the seven of you to camp." Dave says.
"Uhh there are only six of us." Geleel responds causing Dave to he confused. "Wait, Dinosaur kid, Hooper, Trackstar, Internet girl, Barfie, and Texas, he's right where is seven." Dave says giving them all nicknames based off their first impressions.
Roxie randomly sighs in frustration.
A helicopter is heard. The helicopter begins descending onto the dock. Out came a boy in his teens carrying a blue bag. He wore a light pink shirt, and khakis shorts along with some black sunglasses. His hair was black and spiked. This is kenji.
"Greetings my dudes, Kenji is here so let the party commence." kenji exclaims as he walks up to the others. Kenji then throws his luggage as Roxie catches it. "Put this in my room." kenji says as he walks up to the campers. "So what's your d- ACK!" kenji exclaims in pain as Roxie throws his bag at his back making fall over. The other campers just deadpan at him.
"Okay, let's go." Roxie says not even caring about Kenji's wellbeing.
The campers begin getting into the truck their own ways.
Sammy slides up the ramp.
Yasmina leaps over the side.
Geleel also leaps over but he didn't have to put a hand out for support he just cleared the truck with a single leap(slightly impressing Yasmina since she was also an athlete).
Brooklynn and Darius simply climb in.
Kenji does the same and sits in between the two.
Everyone puts their seat belts on.
"I hope you got my mom's notes, I don't do well on windy roads." Ben announces.
"What's good Brooklanders, it's ya girl Brooklynn comin at you from the best place ever, camp cretaceous, like and subscribe so you can see me unbox jurassic world."
"Okay I need you all to say your name and a little bit of facts about yourself." Brooklynn says pointing the camera at Darius.
"Oh um I beat this awesome VR dinosaur game, I'm Darius by th-." Darius is cut off by Sammy. "I'm sorry but I can't believe you're Brooklynn, I'm Sammy total Brooklander, oh and my family supplies all the beef to the park that's how I got here." Sammy says happily. "Nice to meet you Sammy." Brooklynn says just as happily.
"Um what's a Brooklander?" Darius asks.
"Oh it's just what my online followers call themselves." Brooklynn says. "Uhh all twenty-seven million of us." "Still doesn't explain how it's fair that she can keep her phone but we can't." Geleel says a little annoyed at the unfairness there. "Yup that's why she's allowed to have her phone, because she's famous." Yasmina says from her seat in-between Geleel and Sammy. She was also annoyed.
"Holdon rich and famous?, oh meant to be." Kenji says next to Brooklynn taking her phone and snapping a selfy.
All conversation is stopped as Ben is heard hurling once again.
The vehicle comes to a sudden stop startling everyone but Dave and Roxie.
"Uh hey what's going on?" Ben asked confused as to why they stopped. "Nothing you should worry about, but you should all stay in your seats." Dave says grabbing his electric weapon.
Dave and Roxie both armed go into the forest to look for whatever made them stop most likely.
Back at the truck
Darius notices rustling in the bushes. "Guys...Guys." Darius says trying to get the other campers' attention. Suddenly a little green dinosaur(Compy) jumps out startling everyone. The dinosaur knocks Darius over. Darius gasps as the dinosaur screeches. The dinosaur tries to run away but Roxie captures it and puts it into a carrier.
"Crisis averted, these things are always getting out of their enclosure." Roxie states. "A real life compsagnathis." Darius says excited about his first dinosaur encounter. "Oh please, it took a blanket and a cat carrier to catch it, boooring." said Kenji not impressed. "Scared you pretty good." Geleel says deadpanning at Kenji and causing everyone to laugh at Kenji's expense.
Kenji looks at Geleel who was smirking with a look of disdain.
And just like that the trip to camp started again.
As they near a gate that said jurassic world they looked on in awe.
"Welcome to Camp Cretaceous." Dave said.
The campers start cheering.
As they come to a stop all of the campers get out of the vehicle and look at the cabin in amazement.
The cabin is built into the side of a tree with steps leading to the top and a pulley to get up even faster.
"Hey Brooklanders is that not the coolest place you've seen or what." Brooklynn said recording the experience. "If you think this is cool you should see my dad's penthouse in the main park." Kenji says causing Brooklynn to deadpan at the camera.
Brooklynn notices Geleel standing admiring the building she more so noticed the shine from the chain he was wearing as she approached him.
"Geleel, so what's it like being a four star recruit and having 5 colleges scouting you to play basketball for them." Brooklynn walks up to him surprising him for a second. "Uhh well it's certainly a good feeling so I would say it feels nice." he responds sort of awkwardly. Brooklynn decides that's the best she'll get out of him and moves on.
She runs over to Yasmina. "This guys is our second impressive athlete Yasmina." Brooklynn says pointing the camera at Yas who just covers her face and tries to move away. "Hey girl so as an elite athlete how pumped are you for camp?" Brooklynn asks. "Not a huge fan of being on camera...or people."
Yasmina runs away leaving Brooklynn confused.
"This place is almost as big as my family's ranch back home." Sammy says as her Darius and Ben are walking.
"That's because when the camp is up and running we'll house up to five hundred kids and one hundred and fifty staff." Roxie states.
"Listen up, announcement time from your co-head counselors." Dave says. "Uh still not a thing, okay everyone there's some ground rules to cover, curfews at 8 PM, and lights out at 9 PM sharp." Roxie announced getting groans of protest from everyone except Ben ofcourse. "This is for your own safety we are in a dinosaur filled jungle, you must always keep your distance or you can be seriously hurt." Roxie says warningly.
"Cabins are up thataway." Dave says. "First one there gets top bunk!" Yasmina exclaims shoving Kenji. All the other campers run with her except Geleel and Darius. "Get this lovely lady back to her paddock her family is probably worried sick." Roxie says to the wrangler that was carrying the Compy.
"Wa-wait, aww man I really wanted to get a closer look at that compy." Darius says as the wrangler drives off. "Uhh Darius we have time to see all kinds of dinosaurs here, but right now is claiming a bunk time, so...claim a bunk." Geleel says with Dave and Roxie nodding in agreement."But this is my first ti-." Darius is cut off.
Before they get any further they hear loud foot steps and notice the ground shaking. "Ohh the day is not over buddy." Dave says.
"Wow." is all that is heard from the whole group. "There's brachiosaurus, parasaurolophus, stegosaurus, ankylosaurus,." Darius says naming all the dinosaurs he can see. "Wow you know your stuff don't you dino-nerd." said Brooklynn impressed. "Check out the uhh. Brontosaurus." Kenji said trying to sound cool. "They don't even have Brontosaurs here Kenji..." said Geleel once again dead panning at Kenji.
"Are those sinoceratops, when did you get those!?" Darius asked/yelled. "They're cooking up all kinds of dinos in that lab." Dave responds.
"Woahh where are they hearding em too?" Sammy asked curious. "Their nigh time enclosures" replied Roxie. "Enough banter, it's zipline party timeee." Said Dave interupting the sightseeing.
"M-Maybe Yasmina should go first or Geleel? Or anyone I really don- Ahhhhh." Ben's protest is cutoff as he is launched off the platform and forces to zipline.
Everyone else gets in their zipline harnesses and goes across.
They all see one big brachiosaurus and are amazed by it.
Night time
We see Darius sneaking around. He was about to leave the cabin until. "Hey there dino-nerd whatcha doin." Kenji says announcing his presence and turning the light on. This startles Darius.
"Uhh nothing I was just heading out cause thirsty." Darius said lamely. Kenji points to a water bottle. "Oh cause I was hungry?" kenji then taps on a storage that had food in it. "Oh would you look at that, thanks Kenji." Darius says. Kenji shuts the cabinet.
"Look bro, I don't want you to be intimidated by me, just because I'm rich, my father owns a few condos on the island, and I'm rich." kenji states.
"I'm not intimidated by you." Darius states shakily. Kenji puts Darius in a half hug with his right arm. "Good I just want us to be friends and friends tell eachother things, for instance what they're doing out of bed past curfew, what do ya say, friend." Kenji asked in a weird tone.
"I think you best get your hand off me, friend." Darius says. "Well why don't you make me." Kenji retorts.
A camera flashes.
"So that's what toxic masculinity looks like." Brooklynn states announcing her presence. "Uh sorry we woke you-." Darius tries to speak but Kenji cuts him off. "He was trying to sneak out, but I set him straight, I try to look out for the younger kids it's who I am." Kenji said moving over the Brooklynn.
"You guys don't understand I've been waiting my whole life for this moment, those lights must be from the compy enclosure I gotta check it out." Darius says trying to pleade his case.
"Sneaking out to see dinosaurs in the middle of the night, mad danger of
getting caught, perfect moonlight, I guess that means-." before Brooklynn can say what it means someone else interrupts. "Against the rules, it means that's against the rules." said Geleel announcing his presence to everyone startling them. "So are you gonna tell on us?" Darius askes scared. "Nope I'm not a snitch I just came for some water, but if Dave and Roxie find out, I was never here remember that." Geleel says finishing his water and heading back to bed.
"We're going rogue." Brooklynn says as they leave to the "compy pen."
The mischievous trio are sneaking around in the dark near a paddock.
"I think this is it." Darius says. "Of course this is it why el-." Kenji's yelling is cut off as Brooklynn puts a hand to his mouth. The truck driver looks suspicious but eventually just drives off.
Kenji, Darius, and Brooklynn make it to the top of the paddock.
"Hey Brooklynn you can get a good shot from over here, allow me." Kenji said grabbing onto the phone. "No thanks I got this." Brooklynn tried to deny but as the too fought frantically the phone fell out of grasp and into the pen.
"Nice going Kenji, real smoothe." Brooklynn said sarcastically crossing her arms. Kenji begins to climb into the paddock to get the phone. Darius sees this and runs over. "Wait what are yo-." Darius is cut off by Kenji. "I got it kid." Kenji says as he continues to climb all the way to bottom of the cage.
Kenji retrieves the phone. "See? I got the phone." Kenji said proudly. "Great, now just climb back up and gently hand it to me." Brooklynn said only caring about getting her phone back. "Sure sure right after I get a sweet dino pick for your followers." Kenji says putting the phone between the second gates bars.
Darius notices ruffling in the bushes and something doesn't feel right. "Uhh guys, this isn't the Compy pen." Darius says quietly. "Quiet Junior, your followers are gonna love this, here compy compy compy." Said Kenji loudly.
"This isn't the Compy pen!" screamed Darius. "Uh what's he babbling on about." Kenji said not realizing a dinosaur creeping up to him. The dinosaur was gray in color with blue stripes going down the sides of her body. She has razor teeth and that signature toe claw. This is Blue the velociraptor.
"Uhhh." Kenji is in fair and lost for words as he is face to face with a killer.
Kenji just takes a photo of Blue and the flash sets Blue into attack mode as she charges him full speed. There is a cage in-between them so Kenji is safe.
Blue barks calling her pack towards her.
Kenji runs to the actual main gate to escape. "Open the gate." Kenji said on repeat. Brooklynn presses a button that she hoped would open the gate but instead she opened the only gate between kenji and Blue along with her pack.
As Kenji realizes this Darius tries to distract them with steam. That only worked for a bit but then the raptors were ready to attack again.
Darius looked on in fear.
