Inspired by Yuqi's newly released solo " Bonnie and Clyde "
Life was hard for her, hectic to be exact. She did well on things and life seems to ruin it for her. After she was conceived a year later her father died in a car crash against a 6 wheeler truck. Her mother lost her job when she reached high school, making her work at a very young age in their neighborhood like doing the chores of her neighbors or walking their dogs early in the morning and before the sunsets though despite the hardship, she excelled well in her studies.
Luck was on her side when she entered college with a scholarship and a few months later her mother was accepted in a growing company.
During college she met this artist and decided to support his artistic dreams. She worked shifts and gave him money for him to pursue his dreams forgetting her own goals in life. When graduation came she found out own best friend and boyfriend had been keeping an affair for a long time now. In order to salvage her friendship with Ino, she gave up Sai and forgave the blond who in fact had been in love with Sai since high school.
During her graduation while she was making her speech in front of her batch, her mother who was hurrying to get to her school to attend her graduation, ended up getting killed during a car crash to avoid killing a child who ran to the streets.
Life for her was hard but she persevered nevertheless.
His life was excellent and perfect. His family was the definition of old money in Konoha. Everything he wants was given in a snap of a finger. His family holds the biggest company among the five nations. Though despite the title no money is easy, especially this big. Old money means you its clean and dirty at the same time.
You play dirty if you have to. His father once said. So he did. At a very young age he learned gambling and was able to win most of the games. Making him unbeatable to the people of Konoha.
He grew up with his grandfather who has a different insight on how to run life. He was taught how to use the gun, how to sneak out late at night and how to kill.
He was given one task by his father and that was to sabotage an incoming cargo filled with products from a rival company and so at the age of 16 he blew up the whole cargo kilometers away from the port by riding a water scooter filled with bombs and setting it to 20 minutes for it to blow up. He used the remaining minutes to drive the scooter just beneath the cargo and started the time and swam his way away from the scene.
He though may be a genius but he was nothing compared to his brother's excellence which killed him mentally. Wanting for the praise and attention from his brother, he created his own gang who's causing the village ruckus for years especially at night.
Until one night where he discovered something new
He followed behind Naruto and Sai who had forced him to go with them and meet Sai's long-term girlfriend. When they entered the house, he looked around and complimented its elegance and size. Though it may not be as excellent and big as the Uchiha Manor it was decent for his eyes.
He was introduced to Ino who came from the backyard wearing a bikini. She smiled and waved up to him.
" Hi! I'm Sai's girlfriend, you must be Sasuke? " Sasuke nodded and shook her hand.
" Ah " Naruto snickered at him and wrapped his arm around his shoulder.
" So where's the party Ino? " Ino pointed to the back.
" There, everyone's in there along with some of my friends. You've met Hinata once right? Neji's cousin? Let me reintroduce you to her, you'll love her! " Ino grabbed Naruto's arm and practically dragged the blond away.
He took the time to look around then follow to the backyard where he was greeted by Shikamaru who was smoking beside his girlfriend who was talking to the bun-haired girl. He was unfamiliar with all the female in the room except for the Hyuuga girl whom he know of. He had been great friends with Neji despite their company's rivalry, he had been honest with the brunette about his previous missions whom understood him and said he had done the same in the sabotage.
He sat beside Neji and the two remained quiet while staring at the chaos before them. Minutes later Neji was dragged away by Tenten, the bun-haired girl. Everybody was introduced to each other and Sasuke had never felt bored in his life until a certain pinkette entered the scene wearing a hospital uniform.
" Ino! Sorry I'm late, Shishou left me some tasks that needs to be finished. " Ino waved at her and hugged her.
" Well now that you're here, go change into your swimsuit. " the pinkette gasped and smacked her forehead.
" Oh sh-t, I forgot about that! " Tenten approached the pinkette.
" I've got extra and their new! I can lend them to you. " The pinkette nodded and allowed the girls drag her away.
Sasuke's eyesight followed the direction where pinkette was dragged to.
He spend most of the night talking to his friends untik the pinkette finally approached him and introduced herself.
" Hi! My name's Sakura, I didn't catch your name earlier, so- " Sasuke grabbed her hand and kissed it softly.
" Sasuke. " The pinkette blushed at him and they spent the whole night getting to know each other for hours.
Everybody was drunk and they were getting out of hand, Ino and Temari are now playing-fighting in the pool while Sai and Shikamaru are watching over their girlfriends.
Naruto is dancing in the corner infront of the shy Hyuuga girl while Neji and Tenten disappeared somewhere. Sasuke looked Sakura who was sighing and staring at the sky that was covered by branches and leaves.
" You wanna get out of here? " Sakura looked at Sasuke.
" Where to? " Sasuke shrugged and grabbed his jacket.
" Anywhere, go change I'll wait for you outside. " Sakura grinned and nodded. She stood up and ran back inside Ino's house.
Sasuke sneaked out of the backyard through climbing up the fences ran to his unplated car parked a few blocks away from Ino's house.
Once he reached the car, he immediately turned it on and parked infront back to Ino's house where just in time Sakura emerged, wearing a cropped sleeveless top and ripped short shorts.
She immediately opened the door and hoping in. He raised a brow at her looked at her outfit.
She turned red and covered her body.
" I kinda borrowed Ino's clothes since I didn't bring any. " Sasuke nodded and started the engine.
For the rest of the night they spent it on a shore where they trespassed a lot with the best view of the full moon.
Sakura closed her eyes and leaned back on the windshield. While Sasuke stared up at the moon. They had spent an hour talking about their dreams and life.
Sakura talked to him about her dream to continue her medical degree and become a doctor and maybe try something new.
Sasuke on the other hand told her of his life, he told her everything and hoped she would accept his mistakes.
Sakura smiled at him and kissed his cheek.
" You're not you if you think those mistakes and devilish side of you didn't exist. " Sasuke smirked and chuckled.
" Even if I murdered people and stole and gambled? " Sakura nodded and leaned back supported by her arms.
" Mmhmm, though killing is bad but that's how your life worked, can't do anything about it. It's just sad you've killed many. " Sasuke nodded and looked back at the sea and watched the waves run back to the shore and retreat.
" I killed not the innocent though, I killed the evil and corrupt for fun. " Sakura stared at Sasuke. While he stared at the sea.
" Then you're doing good by being the bad. " Sasuke looked back at her and stared at her. Staring at her hopeful green eyes stare up at him.
Sakura watched as his hair sway by the wind and cover his dark eyes, as dark as the night. She reached up and moved his hair aside and stare at his eyes and suddenly she felt they were in the moment.
Sasuke leaned down and held her cheek and pulled her closer and slowly captured her lips with his.
He could still taste the pink champagne she had been chugging at Ino's as well as the taste of strawberry and grapes.
She could taste the mint in his mouth and smoke of the cigarette that he lit just an hour ago during their drive.
She was enchanted by his taste, his personality, his character and his past. They kissed under the moonlit sky and finally they had the courage to pull away with embarrassment itched on Sakura's faces.
" I-I, moment, you, leaned " Sasuke chuckled at her and poked her forehead.
" We'll do it next time anyway. " Sakura turned even redder and hid her face in his jacket that was draped around her shoulder.
" I'm hungry " Sakura whispered and looked away. Sasuke raised a brow then a grumble from the pinkette's direction echoed in the quiet place.
Sakura lifted her head up and crossed her arms. " See. "
Sasuke chuckled and helped her down from his trunk and opened the passenger's seat for her.
" Let's go to a local gas station, it might still be open now. " Sakura nodded and entered the car while Sasuke ran to the other side and started the engine.
When they arrived at the gas station Sakura patted her pockets for her wallet and looked at Sasuke.
" I left my wallet and bag at Ino's. I mean we could just go home? Or at Ino's , there might still be leftovers. " Sasuke shook his head and handed her a beanie and tinted glasses while Sasuke wore his cap.
" Wear this and hide your hair. " Sakura looked skeptical at him but obeyed and wore the beanie to hide her hair and glasses.
Sasuke helped Sakura out of the car and held her hand. Both approached the gas station and entered the convenient store.
Sakura wrapped Sasuke's jacket tighter around her and followed behind him.
" What do you want? " Sasuke whispered to her looked at the cash register where a man is busy playing on his phone.
" Uhm, chocolate? And coke. " Sasuke smirked and grabbed a handful of chocolate bars and slipped it in his pocket and reached for the junk foods and slipped it the inner pocket of his jacket that Sakura was wearing. He approached the fridge and took 2 cans of coke and 2 cans of root beer. And slipped the 2 cans in the other side of the jacket Sakura was wearing.
Sakura's eyes widened at Sasuke and halted him. " What are you doing? " Sasuke smirked at her and handed her a jelly bean pack.
" Something fun. " Sakura took the jelly bean pack and stared at it while Sasuke took a candy on the shelves and threw it to the man on the cash register.
" Hey! Stop that and pay for it! " Sasuke chuckled and threw another one then handed a candy to Sakura.
" Do it. " Sakura bit her lip and threw the candy at the man that hit him straight in the forehead making him fall back from his chair.
Sakura couldn't help but laugh at it and instantly covered her mouth. Sasuke immediately held her wrist and dragged her to the entrance while bumping into a few shelves.
When they reached the entrance Sakura looked at the man and saw him stand up and pointed a finger at them while shouting. Sasuke immediately opened the door and dragged her while Sakura gripped two packs of lays chips displayed near the entrance and laughed while being dragged towards Sasuke's car.
When they climbed in the car Sasuke immediately turned on the engine and drove as fast as he could while Sakura laughed and wiping the tears forming in her eyes.
" Oh god, that was indeed fun. " while opening a pack of chips and eating. Sasuke smirked and nodded.
Sasuke looked at her while she talked about the recent event with entertainment.
" If I could just rob a bank then I would have enough money to pursue my career. " Sasuke smirked wider at her and wrapped his arm around her shoulder while driving.
" I'll help you with that. " Sakura laughed thinking it was just a joke and nodded at him.
They had been hanging out every friday night trespassing the same lot near the shore, sometimes stealing food in the convenient store then spending an hour in Sakura's apartment drinking tea and coffee. It has always been like that for a month. When one night Sasuke knocked on Sakura's apartment door.
Sakura opened the door wearing bunny slippers and a robe. She raised a brow at Sasuke and looked at the calendar and clock.
" Sasuke? It's not Friday, what are doing in here? " Sasuke leaned on the door frame and crossed his arms.
" The gang, we're doing a mission, it's just a simple one, you want to come? " Sakura's eyes widened and looked at the hallway and pulled Sasuke inside then slamming the door close.
" In convenient stores? " Sasuke chuckled and shook his head and sat on her sofa.
" We're robbing a small bank from the outskirts of Konoha, that has been linked to a very corrupt businessman Orochimaru. " Sakura's eyes widened and leaned on the door.
" What? Why would I? " Sasuke snickered and stood up and took a glass of water then faced Sakura.
" For fun and for you to save up enough for the continuation of your degree. " Sakura bit her lip and walked around the island counter and took the glass of water from Sasuke.
She paced back and forth thinking about her decision. Sasuke looked at Sakura's nervous form and watched as she bit her thumb then rub her temple then walk back and forth.
A few minutes passed Sakura finally stopped and faced Sasuke and nodded " Just this once, so who's coming. " Sasuke smirked wider and leaned on the counter while crossing his arms.
" Naruto, Neji, Shikamaru and Sai. " Sakura's eyes widened and gasped.
" T-they- " Sasuke snickered and approached her.
" You think those ass are innocent? We became friends because of this. " He poked her forehead while Sakura pouted and rubbed her forehead.
" We've got two days left so tomorrow after your shift, I'm picking you up and I'm going to teach you the basics in robbery. " Sakura bit her lip and nodded at Sasuke.
They walked to the entrance of her apartment while Sakura fidgeted and looked down.
" I'll see you tomorrow. " Sasuke pulled Sakura in a kiss and closed the door close.
They had spent the next two days training. Sasuke taught Sakura how to dodge and attack in case of emergencies and taught her how to hold a gun again in case of emergencies.
Sakura bit her lip while staring at Sasuke who was driving on the way to their hideout.
Sasuke glanced at Sakura then smiled softly at her, " Nervous? " Sakura nodded.
Sasuke gripped her hand althroughout the ride fo calm her nerves.
When they arrived at the bank each one of them held up a gun to the tellers while Naruto and Neji are tying up the guards.
" Put the cash inside the bag. " Sasuke nodded his head to Sakura who approached a female teller and handed her a bag. The teller immediately filled the bag with money and handed it back to the pinkette.
Sasuke nodded at her, Sakura slowly approached the Raven and stood behind him while Shikamaru typed on the computer of the bank, hacking into it's system disabling and corrupting the cctv footage and its system.
Neji lifted his gun and told everyone to gather in the middle and kneel. Neji placed a fake bomb with lasers projecting from it infront if the people.
" Everyone who walks through that laser will trigger the bomb, so don't you dare escape. " everybody in the room except for them nodded.
The group exited the room and Sasuke stood before them and smirked beneath his mask at the teller. " By the way tell Orochimaru to mind his own business. " Sasuke gripped Sakura's arm and dragged her back to the SUV where the group waited.
After her first robbery, she had started to enjoy it and was able to join them for more tasks such as gas station robbery and small bank robbery.
She able to save up more than enough than what she expected. She was able to buy a house big enought for 2-3 people with 2 rooms, a masters bedroom, standard size kitchen, living room and dining room and a backyard big enough to make a patio and a garden.
She was able to save up for her college degree and buy a scooter for her transportation to work. She had enough money to open a clinic free for the poor and most importantly she gets to enjoy it with Sasuke.
This time they had been planning to steal a prized jewelry costing millions that will be exhibited in a local museum. Sasuke had been planning to steal back the family necklace that his great great grandmother had personally made but was stolen at his grandfather's era.
He plans to steal it and keep it but steal the remaining jewelry that will be also displayed in the museum. He snuggled beside Sakura who was in a deep slumber. He brushed the hair off her face, waking her in her slumber.
Sakura moaned and snuggled closer to him. Sasuke chuckled and kissed her forehead.
" Rise and shine " Sakura amiled and kissed Sasuke on his lips and sat up. Sasuke smiled at her and leaned on the headboard while staring at the view of the mountain just behind Sakura's house.
Sakura leaned back in Sasuke's chest while playing with his hands.
" What time is it? " Sasuke smirked and looked down at the pinkette.
" Time to ride or die. " Sakura giggled at their mantra every time they're together.
Highly Intelligent Group of Robbers were able to steal the original jewelries and leave the duplicates unnoticed that was displayed at Konoha Museum during it's Great Nation Gala, 2 weeks ago.
Naruto lifted his wine glass to everyone wearing their perfect tux while Sakura wore her hospital uniform inside the hide out.
" Cheers to the very successful robbery we ever had just because of the nost beautiful cherry blossom, Sakura-chan! " Sakura giggled and bowed to everyone and lifted her glass to clink it with the other members of the gang.
" Cheers to the efforts of everyone! " Sakura exclaimed. Everyone grinned and chugged down their wines.
Sasuke smirked widely and stared at Sakura who was looking dazzling tonight. They planned to celebrate the successful mission just a few hours before Itachi will be crowned as the new Uchiha Head.
He glanced at the pinkette who was talking to Naruto. Her hair was a mess since her shift had just ended and an hour from now, they will be heading out to the Uchiha Manor for the tradition followed by a party at the huge garden at the manor.
Sasuke looked around and greeted his relatives especially the older the ones. When the program was about to start, Sasuke and his parents were told to stand on the stage beside Itachi who will be making his speech to all Uchihas and the family friends of the Uchihas.
Sasuke glared at Naruto when Naruto made a funny face while sitting together with the gang and the girls in a table.
Itachi made his speech and Sasuke stood tall and proud for his brother together with his mother who was smiling so widely and his father who had shown his happy face to the crowd.
" I will do my best while talking hold of this era for a better and peaceful future among us and the noble clansmen who had always been with the Uchiha's through thick or thin despite the rivalry. " Everyone in the room chuckled while Itachi smiled and grinned.
" I would like also to thank everyone who had helped me push this goals of mine for the clan, especially to my loving mother " Mikoto smiled and winked at Itachi.
" To my father who understood and helped me better my plans. " Fugaku nodded at Itachi.
" To my beautiful Fiancée, Izumi, who had also given me her full support and understood me how busy I will get. " Izumi stood up and sent Itachi flying kisses while Itachi acted as if grabbing them. Everyone was at awe at the display.
" and May I announce my right hand, co-head and OIC in this era, to my Best friend, Shisui, congratulations to you as well bud. Thank you for standing beside me despite pressure I had received since we were kids and until now, youxre still beside me. " Shisui waved a hand up at him while sitting beside Izumi.
" Just so everyone know I'm his side bitch. " Everyone laughed while Itachi chuckled. Mikoto made hand signs to shush Shisui whom ignored his aunt and uncle's glare.
" And to my brother, whom I promised mother and father to take care till the end of time. Sasuke thank you for encouraging me the most. " Sasuke nodded to his brother and gave him a small smirk.
" To end my speech, I just want to say, tonight we will enjoy for tomorrow we will endure the adjustments to a new and better era. " Everybody clapped their hands to Itachi who bowed to everyone.
Fugaku moved to stand in the middle beside Itachi and lift the Uchiha Ring.
" I, Uchiha Fugaku, will pass down the responsibilities and necessities of the clan and the people itself to Uchiha Itachi, my son, who will soon reign over a new and better era. " Itachi bowed to his father and toom the ring and wore it in his left ring finger.
" Congratulations son. " Fugaku patted Itachi's shoulder and Itachi smiled to his father.
Everyone inside the ballroom was escorted outside where the party will be held. Sasuke looked around the garden and realized it was well lit, while everyone was looking for their designated seat and some guests arriving.
He looked around and saw Naruto waving at him, he approached the blond and watched as the girls were gushing over each other's dresses.
" Omg girls I love your dresses! " Hinata gigfled and held onto Naruto's arm. Hinata was wearing a white long sleeved gown with blue patches of branches. While Tenten wore a yellow chinese gown that had a long slit at her left leg. Ino on the other hand was wearing a purple two piece halter gown with slits on both sides. While Temari was wearing a nude color sleeveless dress with a brown ribbon the back.
" Why are women so tall right now? This is even more troublesome. " Shikamaru muttered beside him.
Sasuke couldn't help but agree at the lazy man. They were all lined up at the entrance to greet the visitors politely since they're from different elite clans.
Lesser guests were arriving now and the party was about to start any moment from now. He looked at his wrist watch wondering where the pinkette was.
He was tapping his foot impatiently since Sakura was still not here and he was planning to introduce her to his relatives to make their relationship official. Since Itachi had given him his permission to court the pinkette.
Sasuke was suddenly nudged by the blond, he smacked the blond's hand away.
" Look who's here teme. " Sasuke immediately looked up. He saw the most beautiful being that ever existed in this world right now.
Sakura's long hair was now cut down to her shoulder and was slightly curled, shaping her perfect heart shaped face. She was wearing a red lava-like glittering long gown.
When she saw Ino shouting for her together with the girls, fhat had caught everyone's attention. Sakura on the other was oblivient to the attention. She smiled widely at them and just like that, she stole everyone's heart especially his. He looked back and saw some of bis cousins attempting to approach the pinkette, so he took the liberty to wait for her at the end of the stairs.
Sakura smiled widely as Sasuke and grabbed his hand to help her down. She looked up at him and he looked stunning in his black and red tux.
Sasuke lifted her hand gave her a twirl showing her very expossed back but nevertheless she looked pure and beautiful and ethereal.
He indeed praised himself because the pinkette beside not only stole the attention of everyone but also the hearts of his relatives who were so hard to please.
She had talked to them and they were amazes by his intelligence. He glanced at his parents who was eyeing him for the whole night. He could feel his mother's eagerness to meet the pinkette and his father's listed questions for the pinkette.
He softly led the pinkette to Itachi who was talking to Shisui and Izumi.
" Brother. " Itachi nodded at Sasuke and bowed at Sakura.
" You must be Sakura. " Sakura smiled and nodded.
" Should I curtsy or lightly bump your shoulder? " Shisui laughed and patted Itachi's shoulder while Itachi chuckled and Izumi giggled.
" I love her Sasuke, where did you pluck her? " Sasuke ignored Shisui and dragged the pinkette.
" Well gotta go, but don't worry I'll sneak away to chat with you three later " Sakura called out to Itachi before Sasuke pulled her.
After meeting with his parents and was given the blessing for a very healthy relarionship. Sasuke dragged her to the lake just by the garden, where a rowing boat with lights, pillows and carpets were prepared. As well a basket of food and bottle of champagne.
Sasuke made a curtsy to her, " May I take this fine woman on our first romantic dinner date? " Sakura giggled and placed her hand on top of Sasuke's and made a graceful curtsy.
" Yes you may. " They both hopped in the boat and sat comfortable while Sasuke started rowing the boat.
They had ate their dinner and Sasuke silently thanked Shisui, Itachi and Izumi for preparing the food for them and for the gang and girls for decorating the boat and for the incoming surprises.
He watch as Sakura took a bite of the blueberry cheesecake and a sip of wine. He glanced at the garden where a light flicked on and off. He smirked and faced Sakura who just finished off her cake.
" Sakura, I've got a surprise for you. " Sakura's looked at him confusingly while he chuckled and rowed the boat in the middle of the lake.
He slowly covered her eyes and looked back at Naruto who gave him a thumbs up.
Sakura could feel the heavy breathing of Sasuke's on her neck
" Are you ready? " He whispered softly in her left ear. She squeaked out of surprise then nodded.
Slowly Sasuke removed his hands off her eyes and she was greeted by hundreds of golden water lanterns floating on the surface of the water. She took the view in and just couldn't help but tear up at the beautiful sight.
She turned around and smiled up at Sasuke while he stared down at her.
" We have been dating for almost a year now, and I'm selfish and greedy and I just want you all to myself. " He slowly pulled Sakura up, helping her balance as the boat rocked softly.
Sasuke breathed in deeply and kissed her hand then kneeled before her. Sakura could feel her eyes tearing up and couldn't help but let out a silent sob.
" Sakura Haruno, will you be my ride or die for the rest of my life " Sakura couldn't help but cry and nodded while wiping her eyes with her other hand.
" Y-yes! " Sasuke slipped the ring in her finger and stood up and craddled her face while wiping the remaining teara.
Sakura looked at the ring, it was a very rare pink diamond wrapped in white gold thin vines with 2 small jade stones looking like leaves. She then looked back at Sasuke who was still staring at her.
She lifted hand to his cheeks and slowly leaned into him to capture his lips. Sasuke returned the kiss and wrapped his arms around her waist.
The kiss was stopped when they heard an explosion. They both looked up and saw the fireworks on the sky.
" Congratulations on Soon to be Mr. and Mrs. Sasuke and Sakura Uchiha " Naruto's voice echoed in the garden. Sasuke and Sakura looked back at the reception area and they saw all their friends and family waving at them. Sakura turned red and hid her fave in Sasuke's chest.
It was at that moment Sasuke knew what he finally wanted in life. To have fun . . . . with her for the rest of his remaining years in life.
It was also at that moment Sakura realized that maybe life was not so bad with her at all.
or they both thought so.
" This will be the last robbery and everyone who's part of this will swear an oath to keep this secret to their graves. After this we will love our normal lives to keep everyone dear to us safe. " Naruto silently sighed and looked at everyone in the room.
Sasuke glanced at Sakura and held her hand underneath the table. Then back at Naruto.
" This will be our last ride or die. So everyone let's do our best. " Everyone nodded at Sasuke then went to their own tasks.
They had spent the whole month, preparing for their biggest robbery in history of Konoha where they will rob an international cargo with 1 whole box of diamonds for a new crown allocated by the 5 nations for the incoming coronation of the new King in Suna.
Sakura stole a glance to look at Sasuke who busy finishing up a new gun designed by him and Shikamaru. She smiled and looked at the sleeping gas she had been working on, just a few more days right now, they will doing their final run and just planned to start anew with Sasuke, where all their past will be hidden in within the group and move forward for a new life, just like how Itachi said, a new and better future but with Sasuke. She smiled and packed up the sleeping gas inside a small bomb made out of glass.
Sasuke glanced at Sakura who was smiling and couldn't help but be happy that the pinkette had finally felt happiness after years of grieving for her unfortunate life experiences. He glanced at the ring on her hand and couldn't help but be swelled with pride. The sooner they finish this, the sooner they'll be able to run away and start new.
He looked at Sai who lately have been distressed. He doubts it was just Ino. He had been suspicious with the artist who had been distant to everyone in the gang. Naruto called out to Sasuke. He looked at Shikamaru and Naruto who waved a pack of cigarettes. He smirked and stood up not before packing the new gun inside a locked safe that he only knows.
He walked outside the building with Shikamaru and Naruto who was now lighting their cigarettes. He took one from Naruto and lit his own.
" Is it just me or Sai has been weird for the past few days? " Sasuke nodded at Shikamaru and leaned on the truck where they were hiding.
" He had been distant lately as well. " Naruto sighed and rubbed his head.
" Ever since Danzo was able to impeach the Hokage and take his seat, Sai had been weird. " Sasuke looked at Naruto who was stressed out for his father.
" That bastard had always been playing dirty and he betrayed my father who only showed him kindness. " Sasuke nodded at Naruto. Just after the Uchiha Coronation, 2 days later Naruto's father descended from his seat as the Hokage and was replaced by Danzo. Sasuke sighed, he had been tracking Danzo for years and knew of his dirty works and now Itachi is working on it not only as the Uchiha head but also soon to be the Anbu and Police division head. He had high hopes that Danzo will be captured.
They planned to steal the diamonds, the diamonds were mined from the mountains of Yama where many highlanders died because of their reckless search for diamonds. They plan to steal the diamonds, use half of the money for the people in Yama and divide the half of it in the gang.
Sasuke finished his smoke and waved at Shikamaru and Naruto who went another round of smoking session. He jumped out of the truck and was greeted by Sakura who was busy on her phone.
" Ino, please just calm down, whatever it is he must have his reasons. I'll meet with you tomorrow morning okay? Don't let him know. We need to talk about it and maybe do a little research. For now go to bed, rest, just still have a shift a few hours from now. - mmhmm- love you pig. " She hang up the phone and sighed loudly and leaned on the fence to look at the mountains.
" Something wrong? " Sakura looked at Sasuke and nodded. She looked around and looked back at the mountains.
" Ino's worried about Sai, he had been distant with her lately and said he had broken up with her just this morning. " Sasuke nodded and leaned back on the fence and looked up at the sky.
" He had the same to us as well, distancing himself. " Sakura nodded and sighed and leaned her head on Sasuke's shoulder.
" I've had enough fun and now I just wanna settle with you. I can't wait for this to end. " Sasuke looked down at the pinkette who had just uttered simple words that changed his world.
" Soon. "
It was midnight and they just left the hideout and Sasuke was driving Sakura back to her home. She turned on the music and listened to the song play.

Sakura looked at Sasuke who gripped her hand while driving through the streets towards her home. She turned up the music louder and opened the windows.

When they neared her home Sasuke suddenly made a U-turn and headed to the other side of the city. Sakura looked back then back to Sasuke. " Where are we going? "
" Somewhere fun. " Sakura smiled and nodded.

Soon they arrived at the end of the cliff a perfect view of the city, where the starts twinkled in the night and the moon shone of them. She got out of the car and stood on the end while the music from the car blared and echoed in the empty space.
Sakura danced to the music, while Sasuke leaned on his car and looked at the beauty before him.

Sasuke approached the pinkette and pulled her in his arms and twirled her and just simple held her while dancing.

He suddenly paused and looked down at the pinkette in his arms who was smiling and enjoying the night. Sasuke pulled back and leaned his forehead on hers. " We may steal the crown and diamonds in theirs, but they'll never steal this golden crown of ours. " Sasuke slipped a necklace in Sakura's neck, with a golden crown with one dimaond in the middle. Sakura looked at Sasuke and realized he had his own golden crown. She smiled up at him with longing as tears of joy streamed on her face.
" They won't " Sakura whispered.
" You're the ride or die for the rest of my life Sasuke-kun " Sakura smiled for the first time in his smile. A smile that screamed love and pure happiness that he found only from this girl.
" This will be our last run and no matter what, know that I love you guys. " Naruto face the group with tears in his eyes. Sakura engulfed Naruto in a hug and leaned her head on his shoulder.
" Don't worry, whether this ends or not. We'll still be friends, till death. If that happens so, please bury me beside Sasuke-kun. " Sakura joked and winked at Sasuke who only grunted at her.
Naruto chuckled and hugged the sister he gets to know.
" Well, is everyone ready? " Everyone nodded. Sasuke looked at Sai who had been silent and had been looking guilty.
" Sai, don't worry we'll be here for you. " Sakura spoke and reached out to Sai and held his hand. Sai looked up surprised at the pinkette and simply nodded.
They had already knocked out all the guards in the entrance while Naruto and Neji was fighting off some of the back-up.
" Incoming 2 groups from the left wing of the cargo. " Sasuke nodded and looked at Sakura who was now running to the direction that Shikamaru mentioned.
As they knocked out some groups on the way, he couldn't help but smile at the pinkette's progress in combat and he couldn't help but admire her smile and giggles while doing the job.
As they dashed near the vault, Sasuke immediately unlocked the vault with his device.
" We have reached the core, Dash and Blind, retreat together with Lazy, Jade and I will handle this. " Sasuke spoke smoothly through his ear piece while unlocking the vault.
" Got it Raven, take care and we'll wait with you at the spot. " Naruto's worried voice echoed through everyone's piece. Sakura smiled at Sasuke helped him push the vault open. Sakura took the box and hugged it to her chest while Sasuke stood at the entrance when suddenly he heard a blaring sound through the intercoms.
" You have been surrounded, surrender the diamonds and yourselves. " Sakura looked up worriedly at Sasuke. They both walked to the entrance where men suits are pointing their guns at them.
" Dash, Blind, Lazy, it was an honor to work with you all side by side. " This time it was Sakura's voice that echoed in their earpiece.
" We'll give you enough time to escape. " Sasuke said and held Sakura's hand as they approached the police and military while Danzo stood in the middle smiling evilly at them and Sai at the back looking sad and guilty.
Sakura gripped the box to her chest as they approached Danzo. Slowly Sakura kneeled down and placed the box on the ground and kicked it towards Danzo. Danzo picked up wth box and looked at the diamonds inside the box.
" Well done, now kill them. " Sai's eyes widened at what Danzo said grabbed Danzo by his collar.
" You said you will keep them alive if they surrendered! YOU PROMISED! " Sai screamed at Danzo, whom simply smirked at him evilly.
Sai watched in horror as his friends wearing their suit and mask got hit each by bullets then suddenly the cargo exploded. Sai made a dash and on his way to safety he pushed Danzo to the cargo where his body got eaten by the flames. Sai made a dash to safety with tears streaming on his face.
Naruto, Shikamaru and Neji who had seen the whole ordeal fell into silence to grieve for their dead friends. Naruto dashed outside to find Sai and help him when he found the pale man crying behind the trucks he approached him.
" Sai. " Sai ignored him and cried to his hearts content.
" Sasuke and Sakura was happy that you did everything to keep them alive. That was enough for all of us. Now let's go. " Sai nodded and both cried on their way back to the spot as they heard the cargo ship bursting into flames and sinking into the sea.

Itachi and Izumi had been running the Uchiha Clan and had banished all the dirty work that they used to do with now a child named Ichiro. The city had been peaceful ever since his reign.
He was happy now, he was contented and happy. He looked at the woman whom he had loved dearly and who saved him from death.

After he got shot, Sakura followed as she dropped to the ground. All he could see is her in the smoke as the ship exploded. He cried as she lay on the ground not breathing when suddenly she gasped to gain her breathing rhyth.
Sakura lifted the necklace from her neck and saw the bullet hitting her necklace though her chest ached she was safe. She looked back at Sasuke who was shot on his stomach and was bleeding body and slowly losing consciousness.
She dragged Sasuke's body to the corner of the ship and while taking off the shirt of the dead guards to wrap in Sasuke's wound. When she reached the end, she saw a lifeboat on the side hanging after cutting the ropes of it, she threw Sasuke to the lifeboat and jumped down just in time for the ship to explode.

In an old and poorly built house in the forest lived a couple with a growing angel inside the woman.
Kaleil gripped the pouch to chest and approached Indra.
" Indra " Indra looked up from reading his book and smiled to the pinkette, his pregnant wife.
" We're at home Sakura, no one's gonna hear you. " Sakura also known now as Kaleil nodded her head.
Sakura sat on his lap while Sasuke took the time to massage her growing belly.
" I wanna confess to you. " Sasuke raised a brow at her as Sakura handed the pouch to him.
" I-i got the diamonds and hid it for a year. I was able to replace the original with fake ones. " Sasuke gasped and looked at the pouch and indeed it was the diamonds. He then placed the diamonds on the table.
" I don't want to lose you again. " Sasuke spoke as he touched Sakura's hair.
" You won't, I'm planning to only take our share and give the remaining to the gang and write to them to follow our usual plan to give half of it to the poor. " Sasuke nodded and kissed her lips.
" As you wish my Bonnie. " Sakura leaned her head on his and watched as Sasuke talk to their new golden crown.
Naruto heard someone ring the door bell, so he placed his son back on the crib to answer the door but when he opened it, he only saw a basket of fresh daffodils inside a basket. He picked it up and brought it to the kitchen where Hinata was busy cooking for their dinner.
" What is that? " Hinata pointed to the basket. Naruto shook his head and opened the letter.
" Must be from a friend? " Hinata moved to stand beside Naruto who read the message.
Daffodils signifies rebirth and new beginnings, despite the new life, I have not forgotten the life I had in the past. It was the ride or die in our lives that made us grow. Indeed flower grow stronger after the winter, change of petals means the change of hearts. May you continue the plan we made and help the needy.

Naruto couldn't help but tear up and lean on the kitchen counter and cry his heart out. Hinata rubbed her husbands in attempt to comfort him. When his cries died down, Naruto unloaded the daffodils for Hinata to put in a new vase and was surprised to see a clear pouch with diamonds inside.
Not long the whole gang together with their wives were gathered in Naruto's house, each bringing their pouches full of diamonds.
" As promised we will help the needy. " Sai stepped up and held a different pouch with a red string full of diamonds.
Everyone nodded and smiled with the thought that Sasuke and Sakura are indeed alive.
10 years later
" Mama are we in Konoha yet? " Onyx eyes stared into the Jade ones. Sasuke and Sakura smiled and held each others hands as little Sarada at the back asked.
" We're almost there. " Sarada nodded and smiled.
" This is gonna be the best ride or die in my life then. " The couple chuckled and smiled to the girl.
