I wanted to write it like scenes from a show, describing only visible or audible things, without the characters' thoughts. The scenes are also short, /because it was me who wrote them/ because I imagine that such a romance would be portrayed as short scenes between the show's main action.

After seeing the video, Hannah went to Valeria's house. She headed towards the back and entered it through the door on the terrace. The elegant, white room was tidy and all its surfaces were covered with a thin layer of dust. Hannah anxiously walked through the rooms with a gun in her hand. Impatiently, she opened several drawers. They were empty as well. She quickly took out her phone.

- Hey, Chuck. Can you check something for me?

- Sure, what's the matter?

- Has Valeria gone somewhere?

- Let me check. - She heard the sound of fast typing on a keyboard. - She bought a one way ticket to Moscow, flew away two weeks ago. I don't think she's coming back.

- Thanks, Chuck.

Hannah put the phone down looking lost. She sat down on the nearest chair and hid her face in her hands. After a while she got up and left the house.

In the evening Hannah was lying in her bed, when her phone rang. She looked at the screen - it was Chuck.

- Hey.

- Hi, Hannah. I looked through Dax Minter's drive and I found some messages between Valeria and Dax. It's not a hard evidence, but it seems that Dax wanted to get rid of you and Valeria wanted to get rid of Damian, and they were planning to do it at one go. I guess she got scared that Damian could reveal some secrets.

- Well, so that would be it for my investigation… - She sighed heavily. - Good night, Chuck.

- Good night.

The next day Hannah came to the White House for the last time before returning to the Bureau permanently. When she went to the cafeteria and bought herself a coffee, she met Mike Ritter.

- Hey, I've heard it's your last day. It was an honor to work with you.

- Thank you. - She smiled.

- Can I say something? As a friend.

- Sure. - She turned towards him.

- I know that Chuck's willingness to do anything for you can be convenient, but maybe you could let him move on.

- Move on? - She looked at him in surprise.

- Don't give him false hope. - He put a finger to his ear. - I gotta go. Take care, Hannah! - He walked out of the room quickly, leaving her with a puzzled expression on her face.

A few days passed. After returning to the Bureau Hannah had been given a new assignment and now she was going through piles of documents in her office. She stopped at one of them and looked through the glass towards the analysts' room. From above the monitors there was visible Chuck's face and a back of another technician's head. Hannah looked back at the document she was holding and after a second she went to the analysts' room.

When she opened the door, Chuck looked up at her with a smile.

- Hi, Hannah.

- Hi. - She looked at him briefly and put the document down next to the other man.

- Gary, I need telephone records for this number from the last month.

Chuck opened his mouth and shut it when she started talking. He stared at her for a moment with surprise and disappointment in his eyes and then turned back to his computer. Hannah glanced at him out of the corner of her eye.

- As soon as possible. - She turned again towards Gary and then headed back to her office suddenly looking downhearted.

Some time later Hannah was again in the Bureau. She was walking from the boss's office towards the exit, when she encountered Chuck. She nodded slightly and, without looking at him, went on. He stopped and looked after her sadly.

3 weeks later Hannah came to Gary with another document.

- Hi, Gary, I need information on these three buildings, and on tenants in particular. - She looked hesitantly at the other side of the room. - Is Chuck on vacation or something? I haven't seen him in a while.

- No, he was transferred at his own request two floors below to the team investigating hacker attacks. Pretty interesting, actually.

- O, I see. Please email me the results. - She said and left the room.

Not long after that Hannah ended her office work in the evening and got into her car. In the rear-view mirror she noticed Chuck sitting in his car. He rested his elbow on the door and his forehead in his hand. After a while he started the car and drove away. Hannah closed her eyes for a moment, then headed home.

A few weeks later in the evening Hannah was pacing back and forth near the entrance to the parking lot. When she saw Chuck, she ran up to him.

- Hey, Chuck, I… - She hesitated for a moment.

- Let me guess. You need to get information outside official procedures? - He frowned.

- No, this is not…

- Hannah, you have treated me like a stranger for like two months and now you come to me with requests. I'm sorry, but you are on your own, just like you wanted.

He walked away quickly, got into the car and drove away. Hannah stayed where she was, her eyes became teary.

Another week passed. In the evening Chuck was heading down the dark corridor towards his flat. At the door he saw Hannah standing in the shadows.

- Hannah! - He started turning the key in the lock. - If you are not dying or trying to prevent war, leave me alone.

- I've come to apologize. I… I wanted to leave you alone for your own good, but… I miss you.

Chuck turned towards her.

- I miss our talks about investigations. I miss your voice in my headset. I miss your jokes. I miss how you've always wanted something sweet for your coffee.

- That's nice to hear, but, Hannah, I don't think I can go back to just being your friend. - He looked at the door. - I've always wanted more. Maybe it would be better if we went separate ways.

- I want more too. - She took a step towards him, brought her face close to his and pressed her lips gently against his.

For a few seconds they stood closely, face to face, with their eyes closed.

- Well, that was unexpected. - He smiled slightly.

- Do you still want me to leave you alone?

- Maybe another time. Do you want to come in for dinner? I have some pasta.

- Definitely yes. - She said with a smile.

Chuck opened the door and they entered the flat.
