( ̄▽ ̄)ノYo.

This is my first fanfic. I've read a lot of fanfiction stories and decided to give a shot to upload a story on this site.

I am not a perfect writer and my English isn't awesome. ┐( ̄ヮ ̄)┌

But I do hope ya'll enjoy it.

Basically, this story is about Kurama who sends in an alternative world that is similar to canon-world and canon-timeline. Plus, this also contains BL/YAOI/BOYxBOY romance. If ya'll don't like it nor comfortable with it.

Then I suggest you pull up Shikamaru's intelligence enough to know that you can click back the button and find another suitable story that fits your taste and style.

And yes. The pairing is Namikaze, Minato and Kurama.

Deal with it. It's my story. I do whatever I want. Plus, who knows... I might not be the only one who entertains the thought about those two together. Fufufu~ (¬‿¬ )

NARUTO belongs to Masashi Kishimoto.

It's warm. It's warm and it tickles as it makes its way down his body in small rivers of crimson red. It's an odd sensation, he's dying, but he feels warm and ticklish. He can survive this, he knows he can. Even though he is out of Chakra to the point he's almost in Chakra Exhaustion. However, he's still standing, that's count for something, right?

Right. So now what? He can't move, he's too tired, too weak. Naruto shook his head, he refuses to be weak. He will not die today. He is strong. He will make it out of this. He'll show it to them. His best friends, his family, and his home. Naruto knew there's somebody searching for him, he believes they will find him. If not, he'll make it on his own. He is strong. He is independent and strong man.

Suddenly, he can't breathe, everything is so heavy for him, he needs to lay down. Naruto lies down and slightly feeling a little better than standing. And he can breathe a little better too. So, that's good. Naruto is waiting for help to arrive soon, so he'll just lay there and wait. At least, this way he'll spare his energy.

Come to think of it. His mind is too quiet. Too silent. Where is he? Where's Kurama? Naruto attempted to call out to his long-life trustworthy partner. "Kurama?" he muttered as his blue eyes stared at the clear sky of evening. He silently wondered why the nine-tailed fox demon isn't healing him right now? He never felt this type of pain for so long and it hurts.

"Kit…" a deep growl heard in his mind that nearly startled Naruto yet his heart sank with relief. "…I…I—I can't use it. I don't know why, but my chakra won't heal you!" his voice snarled angrily yet there's hint of panicked.

Naruto's lips firmed tightly as his bright eyes starting to dim. He could feel it, his end is coming. "I wonder… if it's because my time is ending…" he whispered, gently. After all, he has been living his life for the past sixty-six years now…maybe it is his time to end in this world.

"No. I will find a way to save you! Don't give up, you idiot!" Naruto sighed softly as he slowly closed his eyes while a bitter smile appeared on his face.

Before he knew, Naruto opens his eyes and stared up at his companion. Front of him, is a large red-orange kitsune with black fur around his red eyes that stretch up to his ears, and none long swiping tails. Deadly yet beautiful nine-tailed demon fox who try to heal his friend's body. Kurama glares at Naruto frustratedly. "Why the hell aren't you doing anything, you stupid moron?!" he snapped his sharp teeth at the blonde-haired former Hokage.

Naruto hummed softly. "Kurama… I've lived a long time. I… I am satisfied with my life." He said, with a sad smile. "I just… I wish I can only make up with my oldest son."

"Then don't give up and get your ass up to find a help or something!" Kurama snapped, annoyed by Naruto's resignation. "What happened to a boy who never gives up and keeps pushing forward by doing something impossible?! Where's that stupid unpredictable ninja?!" he ranted, not liking the sad face that Naruto's making.

The blonde-haired shinobi stared at Kurama with thoughtfully then his sad smile changed to bittersweet. "That stupid unpredictable ninja is dying." Naruto blunted, admitted.

Kurama claws curled into fists as he glares angrily at him. "…you… you are seriously going to accept it? Your death?" he doesn't know what to think.

Naruto sighed heavily as his eyes shown his tiredness. "I've been alive a long time, Kurama. I am one of the powerful shinobi this world has ever seen. I became a hero. I finally achieved my goals and dreams. I'm a father of two wonderful and talented children. I have an amazing wife. I got my best friends. My Hokage title has passed down to my successor. I've cried, bleed, sweats, laugh, happy, and everything I've been experienced. I got it all. Except you."

"…what are you talking about?" the demon fox narrowed his eyes at Naruto warily as he attempt to control his chakra to heal Naruto. However, once again, it's useless. Why is it not working?!

The unpredictable ninja grinned widely yet his eyes are filled with sadness. "I think it's time for me to free you by sending you in an alternative world."

Silence appeared as Kurama stared dumbfounded at Naruto. The retired Hokage was amused by his partner's reaction.

"What. Did you. Just said?" the demon fox couldn't believe what he just hear right now from Naruto's mouth.

Naruto sighed wearily as his dull wisdom blue eyes stared at disbelieved crimson-red orbs. "I said, I'm going to free you by sending you in an alternative world." He repeated, calmly.

Kurama shakes his head. "Why?" he doesn't understand why an idiot knucklehead shinobi would do this.

"Did you already forget?" Naruto raised his eyebrow with a fond smile. "I promised you that I will give you the freedom, that you deserve." But then his smile dropped to a sad frown. "I wish I can free all your siblings but…" he trailed off sadly.

The demon fox frowned. "…they're gone." He stated with a mixture of bitterness and agony.

He never gets a chance to spend time with his siblings, that is one of his most regrets. He missed having argued with a certain asshole tanuki. He missed having an intelligent discussion with a calm bakeneko. He missed having watch over an excited turtle who swam in the ocean. He missed having sparred with a fighter monkey. He missed having races with a loving run-maniac of unique horse-dolphin. He missed having going on adventures with a happy slug. He missed having to watch fireflies with a sweet kabutomushi. And he missed having a wild fight with a crazy ushi-oni.

Kurama truly missed his siblings to the point that he mourned for their death in decades, even he is still morning for them.

The retired Hokage eyeing at the demon fox with knowing eyes. "…I cannot free you in this world because… you will be lonely. So, the best way I can give you both freedom and family, is to send you another world, much like this one but… different." He frowned with serious eyes. "For all we know, it could be a different timeline, certain people are alive and other people are dead. Or even exact same as this world." He shrugged his shoulders. "But I'm willing to transfer you to that place as long as you have your freedom and your family." He said, determined.

"I don't know what to say, kit." Kurama truly doesn't know how to say this, he knew that Naruto would do it as long as it's his ability to do so. "But you will die if you do send me away, brat."

Naruto huffed with slightly amused. "I'm already dying right now, Kurama. Your chakra can't heal me anymore. So, I assume that means this world no longer needs me." His eyes soften. "I am truly ready to leave… but that will be when my promise to you be fulfill first."

The mortal watches Kurama glanced away blankly yet his tails swing in displeased and upset. "Kurama… please… I already got my chance. And I don't regret it at all. And this time… it's your turn to have your own happiness." A small playful grinned appeared. "Who knows, you might even find someone to love?"

Kurama snorted as he rolled his eyes.

A mischievous glint appeared in his sky-blue eyes. "It could be someone who caught your interest… you'll never know. She or he if you prefer that type, could be your… ah, what's the word?" he placed his hand under his chin thoughtfully. "…ah yes! Mate." He said with pleased that he recalled it long ago when Kurama said things to him.

"Shut up!" Kurama snapped with slight blushes as his eyes glowed with annoyance.

Naruto surrendered his hands with a bold grin. Kurama is shy which he finds rather cute.

The demon fox huffed. "It's impossible, kit. I am an immortal demon fox. Made of chakra. Plus…" he gestures his claw at his appearance. "I doubt there's a creature who would be interested in me." He grumbled yet there's a hint of resignation.

"Not unless you have a special seal." Naruto said, slyly.

Kurama narrowed his eyes at Naruto with suspicion. "What the hell did you do this time?" he asked, a mixture of exasperated and longsuffering.

Naruto crossed his arms and opened his mouth. "During my study, when I came across this theory about fuinjustu seal… it was rather erratic and enigma. But very useful and almost impossible. Yet, my best friends helped me to create a seal which—I won't lie—took decades. And luckily, I just finished it not too long ago." He said with eagerness and pleased.

"…how come I didn't know this?" the demon fox asked, curious and baffled. He always knows almost everything that Naruto knows. Just few certain that Naruto kept it in secret box that Kurama isn't allow to pry since he respect enough for Naruto's privacy.

The retired Hokage chuckled. "It's whenever you are asleep. It was tiresome but… definitely worth it if it makes you happy."

Kurama eyeing Naruto cautious yet he is curious. "What is this seal?"

"Mortal Seal." Naruto answered easily and saw Kurama stared at him with puzzling. "It means that you can become a mortal—as in a human form. Like me. This means you can eat, sleep, talk, and do whatever is that humans do. Even become a shinobi." He said, excited.

The immortal demon blinked at him. "…you gotta be shitting me, kit." He blunted, disbelieved.

"Nope. I shit you not, Kurama!" Naruto chuckled happily. "I was beyond shocked but happy when I discovered such a precious gem in that Uzumaki library."

Kurama sighed loudly as he was surprised yet to think he might experience the world in different form sounds rather interesting in his own opinion. "But… the alternative world… if you send me there, then what will happen to that world's nine-tailed fox?"

"You won't have to worry about that. The Mortal Seal also helps you to become an individual kind. As in, you will be your own chakra. Whatever the world's Kyuubi is… will be a nine-tailed demon fox that filled with hatred and evilness. However, your chakra will be different. You will be different. Just… it's hard to explain. All I can say is that I made sure you will have your own happiness. And I won't fail that. Please, trust me." Naruto pleaded at the end.

The demon fox frowned. "I do trust you." Without a doubt which made Naruto beamed at him.

Before Naruto opens his mouth, he paused when he touches his heart. "Ah… I don't have enough time." He mumbled, he could slowly feel the dizziness coming.

"Kit…" Kurama could feel it too.

Naruto's eyes harden. "I'm sorry Kurama. I wish I can stay and spend more time with you. But, I need to start the Mortal Seal fuinjustu then send you to another world." He needs to leave this mindscape so he can do a jutsu in person. Then he carefully observed his best friend, his companion, and his partner for sixty-six years.

Kurama carefully examined Naruto one last time, knowing the stubborn idiot will active the jutsu as soon as possible.

Then Naruto blinked as he stared at the nearly night sky. He shakily lifted his hand with two fingers and gently touch his forehead. He muttered some words until beautiful golden chakra glows from his fingers, the gold charka swims inside his mind that attached to Kurama. After a tense moment, Naruto lowered his fingers down to his stomach where the seal was. The mixture of golden and red chakras swirling around his body. "…Kurama… thank you for being there with me since birth. I love you." A heartbreaking yet warm smile appeared on his face that shines by the full moon.

"…I love you too, Naruto." Kurama purred softly, as they both cherish each other as family. As their own little pack together.

Naruto opened his mouth. "Activated Fuinjutsu, Mortal Seal." He muttered, successfully then quickly pushed the nine-tailed fox along with another fuinjutsu seal under his breath.

A golden and red mixture of chakra brighten up like a beacon during the night for a brief moment then slowly dimmed to a weak body that is laying on the grassy ground.

A retired Hokage has his eyes closed with tears fallen over his whiskers cheeks yet there's a beautiful warm and peaceful smile on his face.

'That stupid idiot didn't tell me it was going to be painful!' Kurama cursed inwardly at his former host while he is curling his body on the ground. His eyes are shut tightly as he silently whimpers in agony. His body was too hot as if the fire is licking his bones and the blood was rushing everywhere. Kurama briefly wondered if this is what the Mortal Seal's effect, because if it is. Then he rather just sticks with being a gigantic immortal demon fox.

Because holy fuck! It hurts!

Alternative world or not.

He is going to kick Naruto's ass when he sees him again. He is going to beat the shit out of Naruto, force him to heal by human healers, and beat the shit out of Naruto once again. Kurama hisses when he felt his bones rearrange and shifting around that he didn't think was possible!

'I'm going to murder you.' Kurama mused, darkly as he will kill Naruto. Why didn't that idiotic moronic stupid human warn him about this?!

Wait… Kurama just realized that Naruto is an idiot, so never mind.

He didn't know how long it has it been, but when the long-suffering of agony has finally calmed down. Kurama nearly went into tears of relief that his suffering is gone. He released his shuddering sigh as he slowly opens his eyes.

He met the sight of blurry, so he closed his eyes for a moment then open again to clear his vision. Kurama noted that he's in the middle of the forest. A large forest that is bigger than him. He silently wondered that he is now a…

A human?

Kurama shifted his gaze down as he tilted his head and saw how fair and pale skin his body is. No longer the orange-red fur. He blinked slowly, carefully sat up, and examined his body. Long pale legs with feet and ten toes. He wiggles his toes with a thoughtful gaze then turns his attention to his hands. Long ten fingers with normal human nails. No claws whatsoever.

He leaned forward slightly as a stray of long hair flow over his shoulder. He blinked, gently grabbed the hair, and tug it. It attached to his scalps which he realized was his hair. Purely red-orange hair that reached mid-way to his chest.

Kurama wondered what his human form truly look like. Then he felt it.

Something between his legs. His gaze shifted down and saw manhood. A human dick. He pokes at it few times when hummed thoughtfully. 'Ah…I don't have clothes.' He just now realized that he's naked.

He glanced up and took a careful studied in his surrounding for a bit then spot a river not too far from him. Kurama glanced down at his human legs with contemplative. 'How… does one walk on two legs?' he mused, completely clueless.

Kurama silently curses Naruto in his mind. He has seen humans walk, how babies walk (or crawl) and he decided to mimicked Naruto's children when they first crawl then walk. The demon fox is grateful that no one is witnessing this.

After all, he is a great and terrified demon fox that brought both awed and feared!

Kurama awkwardly shifted his body over, on his knees and hands. He took a breath then slowly push himself up carefully. When he is on his knees while balance himself, lifted his leg up until his foot on the ground to stable himself. He recalled how humans stood up properly from this position.

The demon fox carefully pushed himself upward to his feet unhurriedly. It took him few minutes to balance his feet. Feeling satisfied and pleased that he managed to stand on his own two human feet. Now, that he can stand.

All that left, is walking.

'It shouldn't be too hard to walk…' Kurama mused, contemplative. His gaze is on his feet, moving his left foot forward and stop. Right foot forward and stop.

Left. Stop.

Right. Stop.

Left. Stop.

Right. Stop.

He continues walking while balancing his body for a moment until he finally reached the river. A sharp grin appeared on his face with content and pride.

Kurama walks on his two feet like a human being!

Once he is near the river side, he leaned over and blinked at the reflection of water. 'So, this is what I look like as a human?' he mused, intrigued.

He has red-orange hair that reached mid-way to his chest with nose-length bangs, the fox-like shape of crimson-red orbs and full thick eyelashes, fair flawless skin, and his body is thin and toned. His human form belongs to the category of 'attractive'. Kurama hummed then open his mouth to speak but paused when he saw tiny baby fangs. 'Oh? It seems that Naruto didn't completely give me hundred percent human form but about ninety-nine percent.' He mused, impressed with his longtime old friend's fuinjustu skill.

Plus, many humans have fangs and shark teeth so, tiny fangs are not out of the ordinary for a human to have. All in all, he is satisfied with his human form. "Not bad…" he whispered, slightly taken aback by his different yet familiar voice. He could hear a hint of confidence in his tone, but his voice is not deep. Just more lighter but enough for others to know he's a male.

Now that he is confident enough to be familiar with his look. Kurama straighten up his spine and glanced around his surroundings quietly. He will need clothes even though he never understands why humans need clothes to cover their bodies.

'But from what I've witnessed through Naruto… and others… being naked in front of humans will classify me as a pervert.' Kurama is grateful that he studied and learned a lot about humans otherwise, he will be stuck and clueless for a long time.

He doesn't like being an idiot at all. He loathed idiots and stupid humans, except Naruto. Naruto is fine. Kurama sighed and glanced around in the peaceful forest. 'Not only I need clothes, but I also need to know where am I? And what timeline am I in this world?' But first, he needs to check his chakra.

The demon fox closed his eyes, and carefully sense his chakra, and instantly found it. At the coil, it is spinning lazily until it perked up when Kurama mentally touches it. Soon, the coil spins around and around at a fast speed. Soon, the chakra leaks out the coil and expands through the entire inside of his body. It was an effortless and smooth process.

Kurama opens his eyes and noted that his chakra is—doubtlessly—powerful high. He could use his chakra for weeks without getting into Chakra Exhaustion Coma. Kind of reminds him of the Uzumaki clan but, more powerful than them, of course.

After all, he is made of chakra.

Except that Naruto made sure his human form doesn't detect any of his demonic chakras. 'That idiot brat… he has really outdone himself.' He mused, impressed and fondness.

Now that he has unleashed his chakra. He briefly wondered if any of his demonic jutsu works for him as a human? 'Might as well try.' He mused, decided to a small jutsu.

Kurama held up his two fingers sign to his chin. His eyes narrowed with concentration and gathered both positive and negative chakra. He quietly watches a tiny purple ball appeared above his fingertips. Kurama has successfully made a mini Biju bomb jutsu. Carefully, he flicks a mini bomb at one of the trees and it exploded into oblivion.

The demon fox hummed with interest by the result of his jutsu. Then use a different sign that was his old friend's favorite's jutsu. "Shadow Clone Jutsu." He muttered.

A perfect shadow clone appeared next to him. Kurama raises his eyebrow at the clone with curiosity. "How intriguing." It seems that he could use shinobi jutsu, however, he knew that his arsenal is different. Kurama only knew how to do his demonic jutsu, nature jutsu which are Fire and Wind, and sensitive to emotions sensing, especially the negative ones.

Kurama sighed loudly as he runs through his hair with his long fingers. From what he knew about humans is that he can't show off his demonic jutsu because they won't understand.

They will fear him.

And as much as he would love that, he knew it will make Naruto upset. Because Naruto wants Kurama to be happy. 'Damn kit…' he mused, exasperatedly yet fondly. Even though his old friend is gone, he will always remember Naruto close to his heart no matter what.

Uzumaki, Naruto was unforgettable and irreplaceable.

Kurama turned his gaze at his clone who is standing, waiting. "We—I need clothes." He mused out loud, he needs to figure out where he is and hopefully, the village isn't too far. The clone disappeared when Kurama dispelled it and closed his eyes.

The demon fox attempt to sense any presence or chakra in the distance. Almost immediately, there are low-level chakras from the east direction that will take about an hour to get there. He opens his eyes, turned east, and steps forward. 'Hopefully, I can get the clothes from there.' Kurama mused, resolve.

Although, he would never understand why humans need clothes.
