Information Requested: Wei Shi Kai, adopted son of the Twin Monarchs and sole practitioner of the Path of Blazing soulsmith

Wei Shi Kai stood upon his green thousand mile cloud and looked down towards the new skysworn recruits completing their course in an arena at the headquarters of Stormrock. He pulled down his mask which covered his lower face hiding part of his goldsign before he sat there looking down taking off his gleaming green armour and placed it into a void key next to him so he was just left in his black and red sacred artist robe. He sorted out his short brown hair as it had been messed up from taking off his armour and finally he relaxed before pulling his mask back up so it covered his lower face and stretching out two red arms to lay back on the cloud.
"Hey Joy," Kai said. As a short slender woman sat on a black dragon headed staff pulled up next to his cloud, on it his partner Akura Joy. She jumped off her staff and landed on his cloud. It was only just keeping him on now she was basically standing over him. She stood up proud in her black and purple robes looking down at the new recruits' Shadowy hair flowing in the wind now clutching her dragon headed staff which hissed at him.
"So what do you think?" Joy asked
"I don't know yet there might be a hidden gem other than my sister. " Kai replied. Sitting up so the cloud wasn't as crowded.
"Well I hope there is," Joy said. Kai's sister was Wei Shi Keya daughter of two monarchs, she followed in her fathers footsteps by splitting her core. That is why she had only just reached lowgold and their father liked them to experience the foundation stage for longer; it was something that he had done. Although he was only an adopted member he had always considered Keya as his sister. She was two years his junior but they had grown up together ever since his village had been destroyed.
"Well It's just about to wrap up, let's go down and pick our new recruits." Joy said. Before she twirled her staff around and sat on it floating next to Kai's cloud. Kai and Joy descended down towards their captain's office. This evening they have to choose their squad and tomorrow it will be announced in the arena. They would pick some recruits for their new team, then after their first couple of missions most of them would ask to be transferred to a new squad. The missions were always tough but Kai or Joy would step in to destroy the rogue remnant or capture some thief that was beating the group.
Naru Saeya's office was as large as a barn; it had one single desk at the far end with a chair that she currently sat in waiting for the squad leaders to arrive. Then one by one truegold squad leaders entered the office in their pairs. "Form up'' Naru Saeya said. Naru Saeya had made it past the first round of the 17th uncrowned king tournament and was the current leader of the skysworn as after an attack from the bleeding phoenix she had to replace her uncle who had suffered life threatening injuries during the defence of the city. The truegolds formed up in rank order leaving two spaces right at the front where Kai and Joy should be standing.
"Where are those two?" Naru Saeya asked, turning towards Song Xun, leader of the number two squad and the fifteenth ranked truegold in the empire.
"They were watching above the arena. They should be here soon." Song Xun replied as soon as he finished Akura Joy and Wei Shi Kai entered Naru Saeya's office.
"Sorry we are late Overlord." Kai said before he and Joy formed up in their spots.
"So I take it you want your sister, so what about your other choices?" Saeya asked, then handing Joy a list of all the recruits after crossing off Wei Shi Keya.
"We will take whatever is left," Joy said with a smile on her face handing the note to the team next to them. There was laughter throughout the room except for Kai who smiled along although it was hidden under his mask and Saeya who also grinned.
"Very well then," Saeya said. One after another the other teams picked their recruits until the only ones that were left were 2 lowgold and 1 highgold so this year they had an odd number. Kai looked at the paper and read the names Jai Kang Highgold and one lowgold girl of the cloud hammer school called Song Lei and one lowgold kotai boy called Kotai Cui. He wondered why Song Lei hadn't been chosen; she must have been related to Xun. A question to ask him later he thought.
"The first squad is led by our two strongest truegolds Wei Shi Kai the number two ranked truegold in the whole empire and Akura Joy number one truegold in the empire." Naru Saeya said. Kai and Joy stepped forward as the names of their members were read.
"Highgold Jai Kang , Lowgold Wei Shi Keya, Lowgold Song Lei, Lowgold Kotai Cui" Saeya said
Next to Kai, Song Xun spoke up. "Take care of my little cousin. She is likely to be the future of my family so I asked Saeya to allow her in your squad." Song Xun said as Kai passed him.
"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on her for you," Kai replied. Before leading his team out of the arena. The four apprentices stepped forward from their benches and turned to follow their truegolds out of the arena.
"So we have our first mission right away: go get your armour and meet back here as quickly as possible. '' Kai said. The four apprentices nodded and ran towards the armoury to get their new armour. Kai opened his void key as soon as the apprentices were out of sight and pulled out his own skysworn armour and his sword. Joy laughed.
"Not everyone gets a bloodline that is built in armour you know." Kai said.
"I might have armour for my bloodline but your bloodline is probably just as strong." Joy replied. They both laughed.
