This story is inspired by 'Ranger Dave' (on YouTube) His fallout 4 builds have a story to them and I wanted to basically steal his idea and make a fic out of it. This is my first fanfic so give me constructive criticism plz.

Chapter one- End of the Brotherhood
"Good luck general. You're gonna need it."
"Thanks Preston." Nate, the general of the Minute Men, said. "Remember, only when I detonate the charges, do you call in the reinforcements."
Nate grabbed the sack of C4 off of the table. The Minute Men spy in the last remaining Brotherhood Of Steel base in the commonwealth sent them the schedule of the guardsmen patrols of the outside walls.
"Alright. Let's do this." Nate activated his stealth boy and made his way out of the abandoned building that the minute men were hiding in and into the night.
After the fall of the Brotherhood's airship, the Prydwen, the Brotherhood that was out on patrol at the time organized and built a fort in secret. After a traitor in the brotherhood sold them the location of the fort, he joined the minutemen as a spy.
After the destruction of the Brotherhood, the minutemen can destroy the institute without interference and dominate the commonwealth. Uh. I meant 'save' the commonwealth.
Nate stealthily moved through the rocks and terrain of the wasteland. The night sky giving him just enough light to see.
The walls of the fort were littered with makeshift turrets that will shoot anyone not affiliated with the brotherhood on sight.
Thankfully, they could not spot Nate with the stealth boy activated. Nate pulled a brick of C4 out of the sack on his back and placed it onto the wall. He sprinted out of the way as the timer ticked down.
BOOM*
"MOVE OUT!"
A force of over three dozen heavily armed and armored troops ran out of the abandoned building as the shocked and unprepared Brotherhood panicked and ran out of the barracks and into the armory.
Unfortunately for them, a certain spy dead bolted it from the inside so it couldn't be opened.
Only a few firefights broke out because most of the fort's residents were asleep. The few that did fight back were quickly dealt with.
A mighty cheer came from the Minutemen as the last of the Brotherhood surrendered
*the next day*
"Someone give the spy a raise. Without him, we wouldn't have so easily won this battle." The general said as he looked over the reports of the recent battle. "Also I want to meet him personally and thank him for his contributions"
General Nate is holding a meeting in his office in Sanctuary with a half dozen of his most trusted officers and His right-hand man, Preston Garvey.
"Yes sir. Right away" a soldier said as he exited the General's office.
"Everyone out except Preston, I believe he had something to say in private"
Nate and Preston Garvey waited patiently as the officers left the large, fancy room
"Congratulations General. We couldn't have done it without you."
"Thanks Preston. I believe you wanted to talk about what we should do about the influx of prisoners we recently acquired."
"Yes sir. We captured about twenty five people last night and our prisoners are basically shoulder to shoulder at the moment. Red Rocket Prison simply does not have the capacity to hold them. What should we do?"
"Hmm. Do you remember about the problem we had about not building fast enough to keep up with our rapid expansion?"
"Yes sir, how could I forget? It's been a problem ever since we fixed up Sanctuary"
"Then what if we could have most of the building already done for us, say for example have a special work force building pre-fab walls and roofs, all our civilian workers have to do is assemble it. We already have the transportation for this because of the train we repaired at Bedford Station."
"What are you getting at General?"
Nate grabbed a map from one of the many shelves and filing cabinets of his office and roled it out on his ornate and shiny desk.
"Right here."
Nate pointed to the top of the map to the right of sanctuary and Just down the road from Bedford Station.
"Thicket excavations. After we sent a team of people out there to drain the water, they discovered that it goes underground for a decently long way."
"Why does this help with the prisoner problem, General?"
" If we defeat the institute, we will make moves to clean up the commonwealth's filthy streets with all of the mutants, raiders, and mercenaries. We will have need for a massive prison to keep the ones that survive. I reckon we kill two birds with one stone and build a penal colony at the bottom of Thicket Excavations to boost our infrastructure and keep all of the undesirables out of sight, forever."
"Damn. Are you sure about this? You'll basically be making a slave pit. What will you do when the people find out about this?"
"We do what we usually do. We make it look not as bad as it is. Propaganda always goes a long way."
"Even though I don't like it, we gotta do it. This is why I chose someone else to be the General. I could never make tough calls like this."
*SLAM*
A soldier slammed the door open. "General! There Is an attack from raiders outside! We don't know the numbers, but we were underprepared! We need everyone to help defend!"
"Alright I'm coming. Preston come with me, let's show these bastards what they get when they mess with The Minutemen!
