Background before you read
The Murasaki's, one of Japan's wealthiest families. Wakiya Murasaki, the son of the wealthy family is rather, selfish if you may. Wakiya grew up being raised by his servants since his parents were always too busy, which led to him being comfortable with always getting his way. This also led to him not having many friends because of his attitude. One day, a man who worked for Wakiya's father introduced him to his son, Hoji. The two soon became friends, with Wakiya even teaching Hoji how to Beyblade. His Beyblade is Wyvron W3 4Glaive Atomic.
Silas Karlisle is a member of BC Sol and was briefly a member of Sunbat United. His Beyblade is Satomb S3 2Glaive Loop. Silas is quite rude and arrogant. He is a confident Blader and doesn't care about other's Beys as seen when his Bey, Kinetic Satomb, flings Valt's Victory Valtryek into a pillar, cracking its Layer. Silas only truly tries his hardest against opponents that he believes are strong, as when he faces Valt Aoi for the first time and other Bladers he usually disrespects their abilities or doesn't see them as true opponents. But we all know he's just a big softie. No? Just me? Ok…... I STAND BY MY POINT!!!!
Beyblade is a sport involving spinning tops and derived from the word, "Beigoma." It is popularly known throughout the world as Beyblade though. Beybladers each choose their own bey, give it a name, and train and battle with it so that they both can get stronger. There are teams, that beybladers can join if they want to compete internationally. The Supreme 4 is a team that consists of 4 extremely powerful bladers, Xander Shakadera, Lui Shirosagi, Shu Kurenai, and Zac Kaneguro. It's a very male-centered sport and it was probably intended for the 5-10-year-old male audience, surprising that I'm a 15-year-old girl and still watch it to this day….that's beside the point.
Characters are now Superking/Surge age now, I'm making Kit and Honey 13 though. For cussing and stuff.
Chapter 1
Silas' POV
"SILASSSSS!!!!" An all too familiar voice burst out and rattled my eardrums. 'Ugh, not him again.' "Silas!!! You'll never believe what just happened!!!" The person, thankfully, stopped yelling once he had reached me. "What, Valt?" He smiled up at me and, surprise! He started yelling at me, again. "VALTRYEK AND I JUST MASTERED GENESIS REBOOT!!!!!!" 'My ears, my poor ears.' I pushed him to the side and continued walking after muttering something along the lines of, "Ah, cool. I couldn't care less." Of course, Valt being Valt, his spirits hadn't even flickered. "I'M GONNA GO SHOW MRS. ANGIEEEE!!!!" He ran the opposite direction to which I was headed, 'Poor Mrs. Angie, has to deal with imbeciles like Valt every single day…..'
"Yo! Silas, my dude!" This time I turned around. 'Great. Just great. Now I have to deal with idiot number 2.' Honcho ran up to me and asked me where Valt had gone. I decided to be a jackass(because that's how I am and I can't be bothered to change) and tell Rantaro(Honcho) that Valt had gone to Free's old training stadium in the forest. He smiled, he always smiles and it's sickening, and thanked me. 'Finally, some peace a-' "Uhm, e-excuse me, Silas?" My thoughts were yet again interrupted. Thankfully, this person was a little more tolerable. "Yes, Ms. Chris?" I had decided to just stop trying to go to the park, my original destination, in case someone decided they needed me for the stupidest reasons.
"I wanted to let you know, that Wakiya's team needs a place to stay when they come here from Àlava tomorrow. I was wondering if you would be willing to share your dorm with some of them?" I sighed exasperatedly, "I suppose it wouldn't be too much trouble. Just as long as they know the rules of sharing beds. I prefer to sleep alone, but if push comes to shove, then I will make do." She smiled and clapped her hands together in delight. "Alrighty then! I will let them know!" With that, she scurried off in the direction of the head office.
'I'm not taking any chances this time. I'm gonna stay right here for a good 5 minutes before I move another step.' About 3 minutes later, Shasa walks by and says, "Uhm, Silas? Why? What? Wh-? What are you doing…..?" I sighed angrily and started walking again. "Nothing, just waiting for some random person to interrupt my day, again," I called back waving goodbye. Shasa either didn't see or didn't care because she didn't say anything back.
The Next Day
"Alrighty! Listen Up!" The chatter in the meeting room died down, but not after Valt made a comment about Mrs. Angie's beybread, that we were supposed to have after this meeting. "That's very…..nice, Valt," Christine said and smiled weakly, she wasn't nearly as confident in her speaking skills as Trad or Raul. But, Trad is gone and it looked like Raul had no means of stepping in to help. "Anyways, as you all know, Sunbat United is going to be arriving here in Valencia today. That said, we need to be ready to welcome them." Valt and Rantaro groaned simultaneously, "More work?!" I rolled my eyes dramatically and mumbled curses under my breath.
"Valt, Rantaro. Keep your opinions to yourself." Ms. Chris was starting to get angry with their protests at every meeting she held. "Yes, ma'am!" They responded enthusiastically but too loud for comfort. Everyone giggled, except for me. I just scowled. The meeting disbanded 30 minutes later, Valt and Rantaro shot out the door at record speeds. Honey and Kit followed right behind. 'Why am I stuck with a bunch of losers who live off of Beyblade and beybread alone?' "Silas! Wait up!" I stopped in my tracks and turned around coming face to face with Raul. "Yes, sir?" He asked me to take out my bey and show it to him. "Sure, I guess." I grabbed Satomb out of my pocket and handed it to him as gently as possible. "Thank you." He inspected my bey with precision and great vigilance. "It seems that I was mistaken, here you are." He handed it back to me and walked away before I could even open my mouth. 'Weird old fart.' I stormed off towards the cafeteria mumbling curses under my breath in annoyance.
"Hello, Silas! How has your day been so far?" Ms. Angie asked placing a small serving of beybread on my plate, smiling as usual. Ms. Angie has always been one of my favorite people because she never annoyed me or talked to me unless needed. She knew when was a good time to talk and when I was pissed off. "Tiring, to say the least. It's like people have decided to make me the official 'information/complaint box.'" Her smile dropped a little and she spared me a sympathetic glance. "I'm sorry to hear that. But, trust me. They all confide in you, because they see you as the 'older brother' of the group, in some sort." I nodded, 'That still doesn't change my opinion, I'm afraid.'
I always sit faaaaarrrr away from the rest of the bladers, I don't really have "friends" or people to talk to. It's not that I like to be alone, I just have social anxiety and I get angry quite easily; which tends to scare people, and then they don't want to be friends anymore. I know I'm just a sad excuse for a loser, maybe I should just come to terms with that fact and move on with my sad, miserable life. "Everybody, listen up!!" I turned my attention to the front of the room where Ms. Chris(I have no idea why we call her "Ms. Chris" seeing as she's only a few years older than us, but whatever) currently stood with her hands on her hips. "Sunbat will be here in an HOUR!!!! We need to be ready by then! Meet me here 5 minutes before 5:00! Well, what are you waiting for, GET YOUR ASSES MOVING!!!!" I sighed and ran to my dorm to set up the pullout beds and the hammocks.
55 minutes later
So, here I am. Just me, Chris, and Raul waiting for the rest of our team to get down to the front of the building. "Sorry, we're late!" I winced, I'm never going to get used to Valt's extremely loud voice. "It's alright, just come stand here so we can greet the team." Ms. Chris said, pointing to the spot next to me. "Alrighty then!" 'Why did she have to put him next to me? He's so annoying and as I previously mentioned loud as fuck.' I swear, he's worse than Rantaro and that's saying something. "WAKIYA!!!!" I practically fainted on the spot, 'SEE, LOUD!' Even Wakiya is cringing. "Ugh, Valt. Get off of me. It's nice to see you but you don't have to throw yourself on me."
"Hello! Welcome to Valencia! I hope you had a wonderful and safe trip from El Astro." Chris shook hands with their advisor, Django, or something. I don't know and I don't really care. "Thank you, we're so honored to be here and to be able to train with you for the national championship." He had this ridiculous looking smile on his face, does Valt have a sibling I didn't know about? "Come on in! We have some snacks and drinks in the dining hall for you! You can set your bags down in the main hall and Silas will take them to the dorms you'll all be staying in!" My jaw dropped. What did that woman say?! I am NOT taking their filthy bags to the dorm. 'Nuh-uh, no way. I devote myself to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and this is the thanks I get? (Jk, lmao)'
I scowled, "Just because you were my teammate at one point, does NOT necessarily mean I have to be all 'goody-goody' with you. Got that?!" Wakiya looked taken aback, "I-uh. Ok?" He turned his back on me to continue his previous conversation with Valt and the rest of those idiots. I grabbed the bags I could carry in one go and hoisted them onto my shoulders. 'How fun, now I have to carry these all the way up 4 flights of stairs. Yipee.' I thought to myself, starting the treacherously long trek to my dorm, now to be half of Sunbat United's.
3 hours later
"So! Since it is around," Chris glances at her watch, "8:00 pm, we can either train some more, go to bed, or you can have 2 hours of free time! Which do you guys want?!" Chris is always more confident when there are more people standing next to her whilst she's making an announcement, and vice versa. So, it didn't come as a surprise when she started to tremble the slightest bit as the students waited for her to say something along the lines of, "Raise your hand if you want…." or "Clap your hands twice if you want to do this, three times for this, one time for this…" I walked up to the podium and saved her from making a fool of herself in front of both her team and Sunbat United. "If you want free time, raise your hand!" About 3 people raised their hands. "Ok, Early to bed?" No one, 'Just me then?' "More training time..." I mumbled in annoyance. Everyone ran for the gym and the training rooms. Chris gave me a sympathetic smile and said, "You can still go to bed early if that's what you want, Silas." I smiled uncomfortably but still thanked her.
On my way up to my room, I bumped into Wakiya. 'Fun, now I have to deal with this idiot.' "Hey, Silas? Can I maybe talk to you for a sec?" 'No snarky remarks, what is going on with him today?' I stopped walking and gave him my not entirely undivided attention. "I suppose." He looked at me with a remorseful look and the words he said next, were unexpected. "So, the first thing I wanted to say, was...sorry. I have been a huge jerk to you guys and I'm only now realizing that maybe I should strive to be better." My eyes widened involuntarily. "W-why? What made you feel sorry all of a sudden?" He shuffled his feet and his gaze fixated on the floor. "Well, one of my closest friends, Hoji, was diagnosed with leukemia and it just…" he stopped talking and his hands moved to his face to wipe away…...tears. I had never, once seen Wakiya cry. Maybe he has, I haven't known him for very long, but still, he didn't seem the type of person to show his emotions.
"Oh, well. I'm sorry to hear that. But, Wakiya?" I stared at him with the most serious expression I have ever made around him, "Yes, Silas?" He looked up, still wiping tears from his eyes. "I want you to promise me, and your teammates something." Wakiya cocked his head to the side, "Ok, what can I promise? What can I do to make everyone happy and not miserable when I walk through the door?" The tears started to form again, but this time they were determined tears. "I want you to promise that you will NOT blame anyone else for your mistakes, you won't lash out on your friends or anyone else, no matter what happens, and you have to find someone that truly makes your days brighter and keeps your emotions in check, making sure that you don't lose your mind." He scuffed his shoes against the floor nervously, "I will if it makes you-all of you like me a little more."
I spared a tiny smile and ruffled his golden locks, they were surprisingly soft…..'Wait?! What the hell?! What am I thinking?! I don't have time to be in a relationship! Or to care about some asshole that kicked me off of his team for no gosh damn reason!' "Good." Wakiya shied away from my hand after a minute and instead pulled me into a hug of remorse and apology. I found myself actually returning the hug, awkwardly of course. I've never been a big hugger, even with my parents. They weren't...the best, to say the least. I gave one last reassuring squeeze before letting go. "Goodnight, Silas." I returned the farewell and went to bed.
