Author's note
This story will be purely Esdeath x Tatsumi. There will be some OCs and an unexplored "Eastern Continent" which is also my homebrew low fantasy world.
The flow of the story follows the Akame Ga Kill anime not the manga.
For the convenience of the plot, Tatsumi already had a very complex feelings for Esdeath since the first night they met. He did like her as a woman and the kindness she showed him. Also, his duty in Night Raid and being the opposite side of the war caused him to never really confront his own true feelings. Come on guys, I don't think any functional human being can resist the love and seduction of Esdeath, unless they are either gay or suffered from erectile dysfunction. Tatsumi's complex emotion on Esdeath is by far the most logical explanation that I can think of in order to explain why he didn't take advantage of Esdeath when she first brought him in her room to spend the night back in Episode 10.

Still, Esdeath would sometimes be a little obsessive and yandere towards Tatsumi but the overall relationship won't be that toxic and completely one sided. I mainly write this story as a secondary project compared to my another "Chaos Ga Kill: Family of Void" fanfiction(a Warhammer 40k x Akame Ga Kill crossover) since that one is being too ambitious and writing everything in an accurate grimdark 40k style is extremely difficult. It is very easy to botch the whole tone when you try to do some humor and parody(which I already did). Since I am not a native English speaker and lack writing training, I find it very difficult to progressively portray a likable but completely insane, psychotic, genocidal, obsessive yandere, Khorne valkyrie like Esdeath who was blessed by 4 Chaos Gods. Other than that, developing an hopelessly helpless Tatsumi who tried his very best to maintain Esdeath's last bit of sanity from tearing the galaxy asunder is also incredibly difficult. I have great uncertainty on his character development currently. However, the most important reason is that my interest mood had changed from 40k back to low fantasy and historical recently.
Therefore, I decided to take an interlude on updating that crossover story until my Warhammer 40k vib, motivations and interest mood start boiling in my veins again. Until then, I will prioritize writing this "Sweet But Not Psycho" fanfiction. Don't worry, I will not abandon it!
This prologue is a mostly a lemon chapter.
